Scarface is another Grand Theft Auto rip-off, but the Scarface license and decent gameplay make it a worthy homage.

Scarface may already have an unofficial videogame adaptation in the form of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, but this is the real thing. The licensed adaptation chooses not to adapt the film itself but rewrite the ending and start from there, with Tony Montana surviving his mansion shoot-out and escaping to rebuild his empire. Montana can earn greater power and concentration via a 'balls' meter, which is filled by taunting enemies, driving dangerously and generally acting like the coke-fiend gangster of the film. It's clearly inspired by (read: ripped off from) the GTA series, but at least the targeting system has been improved. In this respect, the game does a fantastic job of recreating the atmosphere of De Palma's movie, even if it doesn't add anything new in videogame terms. And although Pacino hasn't recorded any original dialogue, there are still plenty of quality cameos including James Woods, Ice T, and even Ricky Gervais.
