What went wrong...
Well that time has past and the world has changed so did Sam and Max and for the better too: it came out as a serial game for example(that has three advantages first the makers take some risks without the fear of failing , it gives the comic felling the game needs and at last its cheaper for us customers) the first season was quiet a success not as much as the old one but successful enough , it had some mind blowing puzzles and one hell of a Sam and Maxy(!) story and the jokes were even better than the comics!
but as the way i see it season 2 wasn't as good as season one or hit the road. first of all the story was not as satisfying as expected , sam and max comics are mostly started by a phone call from the commissioner and mostly covered a urban story with a little bit of fiction as side dish the other games followed the same path but the new season is completely upside down , the story doesn't start with the commissioner , its all fiction with a bit of reality and that's annoying, it's very weak too.
The gameplay hasn't change much except the puzzles got easier(but episode 203 was the hardest in the whole series ,honest!)and sam can run in certain locations and that helps a lot the game is much shorter too and with the hints that max gives it becomes shorter too ,good thing u can turn the hints off.
The characters became much worse, first of all there are too much characters from season one and not enough of them are added in the new season, second of all the old lovable characters became unlovable and that sucks.
The jokes made by Sam and Max are probably the BEST in the series of games and comics, i almost fell off my chair from laughter!
Episode 203 was the best in the season in my opinion ,not the funniest but pretty funny, the hardest Puzzle and a-not so bad-story...
With all the good and bad, Sam and Max season2 is released and reminded us of the lovely Dog and Rabbit once again. I will gladly wait for the next season hungry for more and hopping for better...
