Great disfigured corpse of Anthony Hopkins deep fried and served with a side of monkey brains! Sam and Max are a blast!

User Rating: 8.5 | Sam & Max: Season One PC
I'll be honest, I had never heard of Sam & Max before I caught a review of a few of there Season 2 exploits.

Then I was looking around the PC game section of my local Fry's (cheap plug) and I saw the complete first season of the duo of detectives.

I picked it up, played it, and loved it!

This point-and-clink adventure game had it all; great characters, funny dialogue, great stories, tricky puzzles and tremendous voice-acting.

Season One of this series is a compilation of six episodes in which the freelance policemen Sam & Max try to solve a series of wacky mysteries involving mass hypnosis, re-animated Presidents, rat gangsters, Teddy Bear Mafias and Prismitology.

The story that unfolds through the episodes is surprisingly well-crafted.

I'm no genius when it comes to puzzles so I found the game to be kind of hard, but most adventure vets probably had little trouble.

Aside from all that, the game is really made great by the characters. Sam & Max are very funny characters and the supporting cast are tremendous.

If you like point-and-click adventure games and like manic characters, check this game out.

You'll love it.
