Check out a trailer for the Saints Row: The Third Hyper Ordinary preorder pack with Professor Genki.
I'm going to wait and see what other editions come out. This stuff looks awesome though, and I'm sure the Manapault is in the game this one would just be a special variant of it.
This is the definition of pre-order crap. And i feel sad for the peopel who pre-orders this and gets this crap. The game i want but i will NOT pre-order it íf thay are putin this crap in it.
I believe that others who don't pre-order will still be able to play with others that have it. Think about it the car could only be used by both players in the game of the owner of the DLC. If someone has the DLC and jumps into someones game who doesn't have it, then no one gets it. Now for the suit and weapon, well only the owner of it could use it no matter whose game it is; while the non-DLC player has no chance of equipping it. The reason why people couldn't play SR2 when one had the DLC and the other didn't, was because there was more story and achievements to go along with it. Why give someone who didn't pay for it a free ride and all the prizes? Well this is my theory anyway, and I'm sticking to it ^_^
@voltron_80 Actually in Fallout New Vegas the pre-order items were actually exclusive. You couldn't find it anywhere else in the game except for the small things like stimpaks.
I agree with voltron, I'm sure the pre-order bonus is just early access to the stuff. Put it this way, in SR2, you couldn't play with a friend that didn't have all the content you had or vice-versa. If this is content provided as a pre-order bonus, not all people and their friends will have the dlc and therefore won't be able to play with one another. Unless Volition fixed that, however, it's too doubtful.
seriously doubt that only players who pre order can have/ use a human catapult truck it's probably going to be just like say pre ordering fallout new vegas, you got gear and weapons right off the bat in your inventory the same mercenary outfits and weapons still exist for everyone to find in the game world,,it's just that by pre ordering you avoid having the fun of exploring and finding said goodies on your own... there's no way SR3 is going to deny after making such a selling point about it the human catapult to players who didn't pre order. it will probably just be some perk where if you pre order you can always spawn one at your garage or something marginally nifty like that
Launching people out of a cannon, use wrestling take downs on random civilians and dance while in dangerous situations whilst wearing a Cat Mascot gear. Some of the things I'd like to get away with doing in real life....
WTF! i thought the truck was already an in-game item and now they want me to pre-order the game to get it?
