A bombastic and fun game that's worth playing, but could be improved upon.

Saints Row the Third is a lot of fun. The game takes every crazy idea imagineable and shoves it in. The game features everything from a **** bat, to a gang of mexican wrestlers, to a zombie attack. The game is at its best when there are tons of explosions and vehicles, and Burt Reynolds is riding shotgun. The shooting is fun, there are many weapons to use, all of which are powerful in their own way, and they can be fun to upgrade. However, there isn't a cover system in the game, so you may find yourself annoyed to have to run away and mindlessly do rolls to escape. A surprising standout is the melee combat, where you can do light and heavy attacks for good beat 'em ups. The boss battles are fun too, because each one has its own unique style and method. The vehicles are really where the game shines, there is great customization and they all handle well. However, it would be good if there were more air vehicles around. The game's story is usually funny, and surprisingly engaging. However, sometimes their attempts at raunchy humor can be just plain disgusting, usually involving the pimp Zimos, who can grate on the nerves. This is a good game, and it would be great to see a sequel, maybe with improvements, not to mention slightly better graphics.
