- Nov 26, 2012 5:25 pm GMTI've been playing the game recently, just got it... And I had no idea that I would end up pressing the "kick player and continue" choice when a player joined my game. Who here wishes cheat-enabled players could be blocked from entering non-cheat enabled games?
---
Maybe if we talk to the television, and know everything there is to know about football, that our favorite team will make it to the super bowl... - Nov 29, 2012 10:06 am GMTi honestly dont care. Have 1 save for cheats and one for non cheats
---
PSN: Copyright2008 - Nov 30, 2012 5:46 am GMTAnd your point is? You kicked out the player because you did not like his gameplay what more do you want?
There is no such thing as cheating, if it is in the game and not limited by anything it is all fair game, be it a code, glitch exploit or anything that could give me an edge over others. Just because you dont want to use it does not mean others should follow your puritan notions.

IIRC, if sombody enters your games using cheats, it counts as you also using them and disables your trophies. If that is the point, I can get behind him with wanting to either block cheats with an option, or just block people who use them.

The basis-no, the very soul of mimicry is the ability to aptly imitate anything, no matter the situation.
Thusly, I will imitate your every move! - Nov 30, 2012 5:08 pm GMTSo what? You actually care about trophies? They are meaningless, they have no value and most cases they take away from the fun. Moreover, your trophies should not be effected by the outside interference.

Those who come with a sword, will die by the sword. - Nov 30, 2012 6:17 pm GMTYeah, either a block function or a filter to prevent me from hopping into someone's game who's using cheats.

You know when you want something really bad and you close your eyes and wish for it? God's the guy that ignores you! - Nov 30, 2012 9:08 pm GMT@CronoGuyver
You are wrong about outside interference not effecting trophies. If someone who is using cheats enters your game, it will effect your trophies. Because of it, the game will warn you the the person trying to enter your game is using cheats and it will effect your trophies. If the person is hunting for trophies, they will have to quite their current play through. Which can be annoying and frustrating because their current progress will be lost or worst their trophies will be permanently disable if they save with cheats enable and have to restart from the beginning. If they don't have a previous non-cheat save.
I also think that trophies are useless. Furthermore, I think that the TC should spend more time reading the user manual then complaining about those who use cheats and wanting a cheat filter. The game already allows people to keep cheaters from entering their game but requires reading the user manual.

Currently Playing: SRTT, Forza 4, Kingdoms of Amalur - Nov 30, 2012 10:22 pm GMTPeople play games however they like and/or want.
You dont want people entering your game, play offline. Simple as that. None of the trophies for this game require you to be online to receive them, and if you are then you are cheating to begin with (there are short cuts through co-op to the 5 or so trophies).
Stop making fuss over nothing. Closet cheaters are the worst.

You don't have to play offline to keep people from entering your game, read user manual. Also there is only one trophy that requires you to be online to unlock it. That trophy is called "Jumped In". To unlock this trophy, the player to must create and share a character online.

Currently Playing: SRTT, Forza 4, Kingdoms of Amalur - Dec 3, 2012 2:09 pm GMTSharing the character online does not mean playing missions online.
If you have problem with people who play how they want to play, you should not be online to begin with.
Stop making excuses, and stop ascribing your ideology on other people. People will play how they want to play, and if you dont like it then it is your personal problem.
You got a problem then play offline, and your problem will be solved.

Those who come with a sword, will die by the sword. - Dec 9, 2012 8:04 pm GMTBecause it feels having to accomplish something? Ordinarily, I don't care about trophies. But, I also care about having access to the complete game. So, if a part of the game is disabled because someone wants to cheat on my save game, I'm not going to be all that thrilled. And I know you'd feel different if the trophies effected abilities, clothing, weapons, and vehicles.
The Mass Effect franchise is an exceptional example of what I'm talking about. Achievements, trophies, whatever, they do effect certain aspects of the game. How would you like it, if a portion of your game was completely disabled because of a cheater?

- Dec 10, 2012 7:19 am GMTI would not care. Because none of the trophies actually mean anything, even in Mass Effect. Trophies have no value, only obsessive compulsive people actually care about them, and there is a treatment for that. On addition note, games where you need to get trophies online do not have cheats to begin with. Mass Effect has no cheats, there are few exploits but they do not effect either the game or trophies. Stop making excuses, this game DOES NOT have any trophies that require online game play (avatar upload is not game play), if you are online to achieve trophies in this game, then you are cheating to begin with and deserve what is coming to you. Online play in this game is just for fun, you can either play it or not, your choice.
Moreover, if you did not care about trophies as you say, you would not have create such a topic to begin with.

I don't care about trophies, as much. But nobody here is any different, and you can't really prove otherwise. Saying you don't care about the achievements on one game doesn't really mean all that much, because there are other games that I am sure, that you do care about the achievements. You can try and shop together some photos or something to that effect, but it will never convince me. Good day. But trophies are a part of the game, they are a built in component that is intended to be used normally, where cheats are a component built in to be used beyond the normal means. This game should come with a cheat block function, or a better filter for online capabilities. Putting the lot of you on ignore.

I don't play with cheaters, too. After I got all the trophies, I co-op play hardcore mode with no upgrades, it's so much fun. You die a lot, failed a lot of missions, but that's still fun. - Dec 13, 2012 1:56 pm GMTYou dont care about trophies very much? It looks to me that you care way too much. I have no intention or interest in convincing anyone into anything.
But if I follow your argument, it seems that what you want does not really amount to anything but spoiled child's whining. shop images? to what purpose? convince you of what? I am not the one who starts topics about having trophies blocked in the game that does not require online game play to achieve them. If you do, it is YOURS problem and yours alone.
Get a life, and grow up. You are give numerous advises of how to deal with your issue. But it seems you are unable to comprehended that this is nothing but your obsession with the trophies that amount to nothing. You seek recognition where there is none.

It's obvious that you don't know what your talking about when it comes to trophies and how cheats effect trophies. Before you post again, take some time and do some research on how cheats effect trophies.

Currently Playing: SRTT, Forza 4, Kingdoms of Amalur - Dec 17, 2012 8:51 pm GMTHAHAHA... you dont say. And pigs can fly in your world. I dont know how trophies work? It is you who does not know how trophies work in this game.
NONE of gameplay trophies require you to be online to achieve them.
Get a bloody life, these trophies are nothing, they mean nothing, they show nothing but that you have no life outside your basement. If you are so desperate to have this measly recognition for your none existent achievements, then I have a bad news for you - you have no life and you get what you deserve.
But if are you so desperate about trophies... bloody play offline.

disappointing game of the year = re6 (6.5/10) - Dec 18, 2012 9:08 pm GMTHehe here it is, just because you cannot mount a feasible counter argument you begin to attack my character, yet again.
If you lack understanding in what I have written then I guess English is not your first language.
To put it that simply:
Video game trophies have no significance, if you ascribe significance to them you have bigger issues - try making few friends and/or seek psychiatric treatment
If you are complaining about in game trophies, for whatever reason, than you are too obsessed with them - seek psychiatric treatment.
If you are complaining about trophies, that do not require online play to achieve them, being locked up due to other players enjoying the game to the fullest when you play the game online - you should be forcibly hospitalized for intense psychiatric observation and/or treatment.
This game's gameplay trophies can all be achieved without ever going online, if you go online to achieve any of them then you are cheating to begin with and deserve whatever happens to you. The only trophy that you are required to be online is the non gameplay trophy - upload your character.
If you are obsessed with video game trophies and dont what them to be locked up, then stay offline until you achieve them. Otherwise welcome to online.
