Good game, but super powers definitely ruin the Saint's Row feeling from SR2 and 3.

So I loved Saints Row 2 and 3. I never got around to playing the first. But I especially loved number 3 because it was crazy. When I hears SR4 was going to be eeven crazier, I was very excited. For the most part, SR4 is a great game, however, it does have flaws. On the good side, we have more customization as far as weapons (there are some pretty sick new weapons by the way, i.e. dubstep gun), your character, your d*ldo (yes, your d*ldo) and your cars. I definitely was satisfied with the customization in this game. The Mayhem, Blazin, Professor Genki, and other missions are really fun, and The Story Line was crazy as ever, and I liked all the characters. The Soundtrack in this game was also very good, but what happened to the Adult swim Radio stattion?!?

On the bad side, we have the super powers. They work ok, but they definitely make you overpowered. I remember my favorite part about SR3 was cruising around in my customized car, listening to "Sports" by Tim & Eric over and over, wrecking havoc on the streets, running people over, crashing into S**t, getting into fights with the Police and other Gangs. I dont believe I have used a vehicle to get around yet in SR4 really, besides in the story missions where it was mandatory. There is no need to, as your Super Sprint goes about 3 times faster then any cars, automatticaly makes any car or person you run into go flying in the air, and You can just jump over any building via Super Jump (Or whatever its called). That really is what ruined the Saints Row feeling for me. It made it feel more like Prototype or Infaomus. However, its not just the driving. The fighting is way to easy too, due to powers such as freeze, Fire buff, and more. I barely ever found myself using my guns when I could just light myself on fire and walk near some dudes? The only hard-ish parts of this game were the frustrating Warden fights (especially on hard), and the bosses.

Overall, SR4 is worth picking up. As much as I didn't like the superpowers, it's still worth at least playing through the Story Missions, and you are guaranteed to have fun with it.
