Does what it's asked to

User Rating: 7 | Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell PC

If you're playing SR: Gat out of Hell, I suspect that you pretty much already know what you signed up for. It essentially just superficial fun, with a silly arc, a few side quests, nonsensical/comedic violence, and well, yeah.

Assigning a '7' to this game was pretty much a given from the start. The thing is, you already kind of know it will be a '7' kind of game. It's a good game to play after a stressful day at work. Catharsis is a good word to use here; have stress? Want to wreck havoc? Look no further, here's Saints Row: Gat out of Hell!

Altogether this game does nothing noteworthy whatsoever. It does, however, succeed in what it tries to do, which is provide cheap thrills to satisfy your sweet tooth. If you're looking for depth or something to sink your teeth into for the long term, this game probably isn't what you're looking for. In a mood to mess things up and have a bit of fun, however, and this game does a good job of hitting that sweet spot.

Altogether, it's hard to say the game was 'bad', because well, in the right circumstances, it's rather enjoyable.
