SR II is like a semi-finished product with immense potential that needed a bit more finishing to be a successful game.

I always feel sorry about SRII because it had such strengths and qualities which could have bloomed but couldn't as they were hindered by its technical flaws. And you experience this when you play it.

You after escaping the prison hospital facility try to rebuild your broken and lost gang, the 3rd Street Saints to rule the city. You deal with 3 rival gangs as the game progresses and your ultimate goal is to wipe them out of your way. Though the basic frame the storyline is predictable, it has some twists. SRII's action-filled cut-scenes with details are conveyed in such a charismatic way, the storyline turns to be the strength of the game. You get the feel of an action movie.

SRII offers character creation. Basic mechanics and gameplay are just like that of GTA games, there's nothing much new introduced except that you have to build respect to play missions by doing some notorious activities. But as we go in depth, SRII annoys you its vehicular traffic, obstacle issues, glitches and artificiality. For instance, character or vehicle stuck on a fallen pole, other vehicles try to block your path ridiculously often.
This section I was referring needs a bit for finishing. Graphics are good and appropriate facial expressions can be seen on the characters. Voice acting is even better, you also get to select from 3 different voices during character creation. There are nearly a hundred songs in the game distributed amongst different radio stations. Graphics, voice acting and music adds up to the strength of the game making it a bit more engaging.

Overall, the game ends on a average score with the weaknesses nullifying the strengths of the game.
