When does the hurting end?

Ok ... I bought into the whole story about having a party even if your friends weren't on to play with you. When that changed to strictly group play with friends, I don't know as I got busy and didn't stay up to date. Seriously my bad there. I'm just thankful that I got to see this on a friends machine and it never had the chance to soil my system.

The voice acting and the script ... my cat could seriuosly sneeze out a better script and I think in the years I've had her she's sneezed twice, maybe three times. It was not funny in any way, unless you were maybe ten years old, maybe. The script, and the voice acting, was nothing more than a Farce. It wasn't even worthy of the bad writing you saw in the old B grade horror flicks.

Parody, if done well is funny. Grotesque Tactics, as an example, was a straight up Parody, but I actually liked the tongue in cheek there. Whether that panned out through the whole game ... I don't know.Only played the first few missions of the first game.

Sacred 3 ... its like they found the corniest stupidest and most immature lines that didn't rely on potty humor to put into the game and then had some sixth grader scratch out a script over the course of an evening or two. That's how bad it is. The Battlemage. Anyone who played the game will understand just how ... bad it is.

The game play ... I started it, saw a limited selection of characters, grumbled, but started playing. Figured after a couple 'levels' things would open up, I'd get my party and I'd have a good somewhat open world exploration of Ancaria. Nope, it is the worst kind of "rpg" out there. The kind that calls itself an RPG, but only so they can pull in a certain crowd. If they removed the XP, had stats increase based on mission progress, and did the same with gear, it would be an ok Brawler. The heavy amounts of repetition and the lack of enemy variety would swiftly kill that however. That and the aforementioned script.

While Kickstarter is what the industry needs to shake up their view of "our fans are blathering idiots and all that matters is their money", this ... Farce isn't helping people trust that Kickstarter projects will be anything more than "more of the same". I'm glad I didn't back it, as I'm offended already at how it made a mockery of the Sacred name. I truly feel for the backers who expected a Good (if not Perfect) continuation of the Sacred series, with open world, customization, co-op, and of course better graphics.

And what they got Sacred 3.
