Creepy atmosphere. Creepy game.

I loved how successfully they pulled off creepy in this game. The sound, the scenery... everything had the empty creepy quality down to a science.

I regret I have not finished this game ever. Windows reinstall once, and I forgot to back up my saved game files, and the next time an HDD failure kept me from being able to continue my adventures in this lonely land.

Last week I reinstalled Windows again, but no worries. I backed up my saves. Yay. Maybe this time I'll finish this game.

When you are doing missions be aware that they often have a time limit. So taking one mission at a time is intelligent. I failed so many missions when I first started to play, because I did not realize that.

The game play itself isn't too hard, but if you don't take your time, you will die. This is not the kind of FPS you rush in and kill everything in, in a hail of bullets. That kind of an approach will more often then not have you loading up your last save.

Take your time, enjoy the creepy chill sneaking up your spine all the time, and avoid the rad spots and you will have one hell of a unique Russian experience.

All gamers should play this game once.
