The latest in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series has a new trailer for your enjoyment!
STALKER is one of the top best three games i have played in my entire life. When i purched STALKER Call of Pripyat, i thought this would be one of those game i purchased for nothing, it was because of the language ,then i downloaded this english translation from the net and from then on , really i have forgotton about other games. Man what a game, really engrossing , sent me right down the memory lane when i first started playing games on PC and you can imagine those first times.
Great game, man they should make more game like this.
@hungridinosaur @Dynamo11 i thaught it would be more frightning and then that re- tarded monster came haha bad trailer
Can't wait to play this game but that trailer sucked! The music at the end was awful, also @Dynamo11 I agree, that monster looked re-tarded...
After patches, original was atmospheric and really different from usual shooters...I enjoyed it even though it was kinda difficult...Hopefully, the Devs have had enough practice now to get it right...oh! and if you click on this trailer and get "...just a bogus trailer that itself stutters and chugs..." that would be your signal to upgrade...THAT ain't GSC Game World's fault, mate...
This game series has a really dramatic and eerie feel, with good sound effects and dim lighting but both previous versions were really buggy (I don't mean the odd glitch - I mean un-playable) . On the first game they kept releasing patches so you could play the game but the patches made the game saves un-readable so at a patch you had to start from the beginning. The second game went down the same route so I ended up binning the DVD and un-installing. I will only purchase this after its been out for a couple of months to see what the feed back states. The game seemed really good but released way to early - almost a beta version YOU PAY FOR.
I want to buy a new game. It seems like they don't want me to buy this one very much. I'm new to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. thing, and I get no demo, no gameplay video, just a bogus trailer that itself stutters and chugs. They couldn't even get the trailer right, so imagine how crappy the gameplay must be. If I want to get frustrated, I'll just call a government agency on the phone and save myself the thirty bucks or whatever they're charging for this. Darkness makes for nice high framerates, though, I guess.
The First game was Great(Mildly Buggy) the second for me was unplayable! due to glitches...if they get this right...it could become a classic! i really hope they do!
A game that that defines the true feeling of survival...played Chernobyl and became a fan.hope to play it soon
basically this is jus a clip of what the game looks like but ..if you played CLEAR SKY or Chernobyl then you'll see the difference of how the games come along..i mean the lighting is awesome but not the best i've seen ..even though its makes for a very creepy atmosphere ..nothing like sh#&ing ur pants when you're jumped from behind..besides games aren't meant for jus good graphics ..which is nice ...but impellin gameplay is what hooks you in a gameworld..
wow!! Leaning! Ever since MW2, leaning makes me feel warm and fuzzy. It reminds me of why I prefer to buy a game for PC, rather than console. It's also why we have a-z. The Stalker series has been very good. I have not played this one yet, but a chilling atmosphere, a brutal environment and creatures await ye (I assume).
@lindallison Well personally I always believed the lighting still stands up today, not the best but it certainly serves the game to the fullest and since clear sky, it has improved on it with the X-Ray 1.5 engine. It just seems as all of STALKER'S critisizism come from its age but the atmosphere that game creates is timeless.
are you people looking only in graphics in a game ? how about gameplay ,story ,feeling ? no ?
@eoin I see the point you're making but fail to see what's 'dated' about STALKER'S lighting, still looks like some of the best in the business...
Dated models, dated lighting, dated everything. But if you look at great horror and thriller films from over the years they looked dated but the Movies of today can not even touch their atmosphere. STALKER is the video game equivelent. Few games have come close the atmosphere in games like System Shock and STALKER no matter how "gritty" or "true to life" they may claim to be a lot have these games only have appearances going for them and like a trophy wife..this too shall come to pass.
I loved the original, and Clear Sky was good too, if quite buggy, but I still enjoyed it, this looks like a worthy addition to the series, and, lets hope theese little stalker instalments are here to fund a true sequel to the franchise, so people, buy this, don't download the russian beta crap and the english patch, c'mon it's not gunna be that expensive. AFAIK GDC are the only company left that're interested in making quality pc-exsclusive FPS games. show them some love.
From what i can tell, the game got a good story line. But it has bad models and lightings, still good to play if ure intrested in near end of the world story. And the lack of Female Character just make the game even more lonelier, makes u miss the sweet scream of horror that people used to add during scary/intense scene
I played a RUS version and a lightning is ..very strange for users who play on dx9. and now with dx10 and dx11 with complete ENG. version i think it's gona be very very nice. RUS version is not complete so.. enjoy when you buy a game or like a 90% of the gamer population use ''original'' ver. enjoy in game. the best of the 3part's def.
Dude, fat f*ckinh peodos are scary! Trust me! The panning in these trailors is pretty funny. Someone put it better in the other trailor, but they need to do something else because it seems a bit amateurish. I'm sure the actual game is going to be great - I loved the other two!
I'm reading some of these comments... the lighting is nice? WTF are you smoking? Have you ever seen lightning behave that way? Striking in the same place over and over? Wow... you people have been playing horrible games then, or havn't seen lightning in real life. Another thing... that monster, it just looks like a fat fu**ing pedophile! And the sound is just horrendous. I dunno, I was thinking of trying this, but after this, no thank you.
@martis93 you must understand, that this is a "ukrainian b movie" - the game. it is not supposed to be good, it is no supposed to be good looking. but what is it all ukrainian movies master? atmosphere. it is all and everything, for this almost standalone genre. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. have been able to replicate this succes with Shadow of Chernobyl... maybe not as much with clear sky, but it would seem from different reviews that call of pripyat have been a major comeback for this series.
It was pretty cool seeing a someone's shadow follow that stalker in the dark. But after all this video is not that great.
the series make the memory of the film comes alive. i wish everybody who plays these series just see the stalker movie too. the stalker movie directed by Andrea Tarkovsky . did u ever know he direct that film before Chernobyl disaster? he was an genius.
