Not as exciting nor atmospheric as Shadow of Chernobyl, however still a solid experience.

User Rating: 8 | S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat PC
Played a few hours of the vanilla game and was put off by the terrible color scheme (I hate orange), narrow FOV, and easy gameplay. This made me switch to the I Work Alone mod (1.2) which made the game playable for me.

Gameplay (8/10):

+Sweet exploration
+Great atmosphere
+Varied quests
+Upgradable weapons and armor
+Artifact hunting is fun
+Interesting storyline
-That takes way too long to get going
-Glitches in the quests here and there
-Blowouts should be skipped once you are in a safe area...
-Aside for the upgrades and blowouts, there is nothing really new from Shadow of Chernobyl here (we don't talk about Clear Sky)

Graphics (9/10):

The vanilla graphics are pretty bad and lack the appropriate Ukrainian atmosphere. The above score is regarding I Work Alone mod.

+Very detailed environments with a large draw distance
+Mods allow you to change FOV
+Great atmosphere and weather effects
-Some visual glitches (Assuming mod related)
-Some textures are overdone in the shader department (also mod related)

Sound (9/10) I Work Alone:

+Sweet gun sounds
+Great music
+Great ambient sounds
+The mod's Russian dialogue is well voiced
+Mutants sound creepy
-Some sound glitches

Value (8/10):

+20-30 hour campaign
+Lots of mods
-Not replayable
-Not as exciting or long as Shadow of Chernobyl

If you enjoyed the other STALKER games, then I don't see why you would hold out on buying this one. Just don't expect anything fresh.
