It's Not All That Fun

User Rating: 5 | Alfa Romeo Racing Italiano PS2
I played Alfa Romeo Racing Italiano by Valcon Games and it's not all that fun to play. It's got RPG elements, the ability to level up your driver, skill points to increase your driving abilities such as the ability to improve your driver condition faster when you are intimidated by the other drivers, etc. i'll give it that, but the gameplay itself is a chore to get through. The graphics are ugly, the controls are loose, and there isn't much to keep you entertained. You do have the ability to knock out your opponents and/or intimidate them, but keep in mind they can do that to you. When they do, your driver condition decreases and when it gets really low, your driver will panic which results in a seizure-inducing vertigo effect on your screen which is painful to look at and disorienting for the player. you also get the tiger effect which willl help you cover from mistakes, but it is wise to use it sparingly as if your car takes too much damage too quickly, you will be out of the race. Also, it takes some time to regenerate after uses. Most of the tracks have little room to ride on and if you drive off course, your car will suffer some damage. if you want a good racing game, dont bother with this one.
