Gameplay is great and graphics are fine. But some mechanics like the combat one, pushes the game back in time.

Not only my first MMORPG, but one of my favorite games. Back in 2007 the graphics made the game a competitor to Tibia and Ragnarok. I can remember discussing with my friends about how good was Runescape and they would always use the argument about how good it was not being a F2Player. And they were right.

The game has a good content for free players, but the good and complete content can only be accessed after getting memberships that allow us to go anywhere in the world and to do much more missions than we could. The member gameplay is completely better them the free players one. But even through, I did spend lots of time in the free content with my friends and they were memorable gaming days.

Runescape in 2011 had lots of improvements on graphics, sounds and gameplay. The game came to my country and now I could get a membership. That's what I did. When I came back to Runescape after years, I saw that the new graphics really improved Runescape. The sounds were not that different but nostalgia was enough to still like it. But something that made me and my friends leave the game again was the combat. Combat in games nowadays is really an action part of the game and is ment to be funny to do, but in Runescape we feel like we're playing a old and boring game because they didn't improve that mechanic yet. Yet.
