Runescape may sound very cool, but it's disappointing.
As an idea, it sounds great. The gameplay is also well made.
Then why the game ain't good? Because of the graphics! They could have been much better, even for a game created using Java!
The sound also could have been better. The minimal voice acting is good, but the effects aren't that good.
If you play for free, 1/3 of the game is closed to you. It's frustrating to try to go somewhere and get a message saying that you have to be a paid member. You have to pay 5.95 dollars per month to have access everywhere. You decide if it's worth it.
Another major problem in the game is that there is no action. You just click your enemies and watch them getting puked with your player. There are also tons of idiotic skills. What's the point in the "Slaying" skill?
Despite all that, I can't find anything enjoyable in the game. I just walk around, completing stupid quests that bore me to death. I generally don't recommend this game.
