You play this, and your hooked

User Rating: 10 | Rune Factory 3 DS
The Rune Factory series has been a very fun, and creative experience that has never failed to amuse me all this time, starting with the first one which was really great, then the second one which was even better and all of those were great and fun, with the combat and all that.

Now with number three, you take all the good stuff from the last games, make it better, and you got yourself a game that will get you hooked to the very end. Everything in this game improved the other stuff that were in the other games, the farming, crafting, combat, etc. and turned it into something awesome.

The combat has vastly improved, giving you much more variety to string combos which makes fighting worthwhile. Crafting has also improved, as you can upgrade the weapons you have to give you special abilities to help you in combat. The games crafting is good, you obtain your recipes through a bread and you simply eat the bread to learn the recipe, but if you want to learn more recipes from eating bread, you need to increase your skill level or else if you eat the bread you get nothing.

The villagers and events are great as well and are much more fun. As in the other games you get to talk to people, be friends with them, and also get married, but here the villagers are put to a greater use. If you become good enough friends with the people, you can make them come with you and help you fight, yup they can fight. They level up the more you fight with them, so the more they fight the better they can help you. The events in this game are great too, most of them are mostly competitions which need you get a high score or the most in something, if you win you get recipe bread and a nice little trophy that goes in your basement, but the good part about this is the Wi-Fi leader boards. The better your score in the competitions, the better your ranking on the boards, and if you meet certain score, you get a rare item making the events fun to attend every time.

Farming is almost the same old, you get your land, and equipment and you get farming, but it gets challenging as now one bag of seeds is equivalent to one crop instead of nine crops, so managing your crops is essential, you can also find starter crops every time you pick up weeds and grasses so that way you don't have to buy crops almost every time. The monsters in this game play a big role, they help you with your farm. Capturing the monsters in this game is much simple too, all you have to do to befriend a monster is to give them a item that they might like (most of the time food you make), making monster catching fun.

Overall this game is addicting, and I would like to recommend this game all the way.
