Rumble Roses: Great to play with and look at, But horrible for listening and storyline.

I was looking forward to getting a copy of Rumble Roses for sometime. While my cousin waited for Smackdown Vs Raw. I have to say I'm glad i made my choice but not for the obvious reasons you might think. First off Rumble Roses is a visual site to behold and I dont usually get worked up over graphics. This game is simply beautiful and not just the women the sets while bland have a little flair to them. The wrestlig is like playing a dumbed down version of the now popular smackdown engine. It handles well, but I have read reviews where they say its hard to reverse they must not have any timing skills because to me its to easy even on the hardest level. With gamplay and graphics out the way lets move on to whats wrong with the game or more aptly what could they have spent more time doing. Hmmm .. lets see there is a ton of things they could have done, but did not. Instead of making it an entire peep show that it is they could have made it more of a wrestling game. Only an exhibition mode; that sucks. There could have been survival battles, last woman standing, iornwoman matches, and the list goes on. It is unforgivable that there is no tag team matches albeit that there is a way to defend the belt which there is only one of. Considering the amount of wrestlers i suppose thats fine. The whole storyline thing is a gimmick at best even if they were trying to be funny. It seemd to be mixed with some notable anime shows though like speed racer, cutey honey, and grappler baki to name a few. The music is not that good, there is no announcer, and the voice acting while noticeable anime voices are monotone. Getting back on track I do think they did the heel and face thing better than WWE because you get to make vows that affect you in the match and over all change your character visually and move wise from face to heel. This is much better than just being invincible for a few seconds and doing little moves. Bottom line an average game that could and should have been done better. Well i guess thats why they make sequels right. Rumble Roses Good but not Great. Im not guilty about this pleasure though. Peace.
