Rumble Roses is an all right game, but it’s far from great.

The gameplay is ok, but it doesn’t lend itself to having a really good wrestling match, though it does work pretty well and does have some good Japanese women’s wrestling moves. Overall the engine doesn’t flow together as well as you’d hope a wrestling game would.

The graphics are good, the ring and character models look good, and the animations are good too. If you’re into erotic type video gaming, the game does deliver in scantily clad women, and a mud-wrestling mode. The mud-wrestling engine is probably the worst looking thing in the game. The mud just looks and acts too much like water. Now the mud does fall off the wrestlers, which is cool, but it’s more like water than mud.

The games sound is good, the grunts and noises made by the wrestlers are good enough, and the music of the game is better. The in ring music is just bland action game style music, which is all right, but it would hurt to be better. The entrance music is much better and fits well. The game has a single player mode, which offers a bit of gameplay, and if you really like the game in theory you could play it forever. Overall, it’s an all right and unique wrestling game, but could definitely use some refinement, maybe a sequel will be more polished and a better wrestling game.
