The game that defined the sports genre forever...

...Now that I've gotten your full attention I can finally rant on about this extremely horrible game, in which you play as a Rugby team with a rip-off of the famed Madden engine. Although Rugby is a repectable sports of it's own, let's just face it America, most of us aren't Rugby fans. The first time I picked this game up from a dust riddened GameStop shelf, I knew I had to meager the Rugby sport to fully appreciate it. I tried, as I watched old and new games alike, but I couldn't comprehend the fact that Rugby is basically Madden 1999 Lite. The controls aren't as smooth, sure there's detail, but not what you'de expect from EA. This game feels alot like Madden, in the bad kind of way, and the game modes are truly unoriginal and awful. And even if there was an original apsect to the game, I can assure you that it won't be fun. EA was known for it's truly epic sport games in that it had top-notch graphic engines, smooth game controls, and original aspects, but unfortunately it couldn't pull any of these off for this Rugby game. It had potential, as the first few minutes I was sucked into the world of Rugby, enjoying the original Tackle-and-Dive sport, but Rugby the game is like drugs, first you're hooked and nothing seemed any better, then it wears off and the world is then dull, just as how the game becomes dull after a few minutes of fun. But unlike drugs, it doesn't make you come back. Rugby fans, enjoy this for awhile, the rest of us.. let's go back to Madden NFL.
