I don't believe thats a valid excuse for shipping games like this. agreed its a tough market to crack but you cant expect consumers in this day and age to shell out $$ for something like this based on a pity vote. But I suppose the sales figures will do all the talking

With EA's reaping of profits from its sports games, any publisher would try to achieve the same - even if it means grabbing any sport imaginable and turning it into a video game.

It's made by an Australian video-game developer that has no-where near the finances of your typical developer in another country. Considering how small their finances are, it's a pretty good game.

Dumb rules? It's Rugby League, just because it is different to say the NFL does not make it 'dumb'. The reason it looks so bad for a next-gen game is because of
    1. The small finances of the developer and
    2. It was basically a quick job development, if you notice it's like a slightly better looking version of Rugby League 3 on the Wii, except with less features and the same engine. The only glaring problems, at least in my opinion, with this game for hardcore Rugby League fans would be the steep learning curve and the lack of franchise mode.

what is this rubbish, some sort of a joke? no self respecting game studio would create something like this in this day and age

The George Clooney ad while the video was buffering was better. I always get confused by the dumb rules of this game. If this is a PS3 game, why does the animation look worse than MLB 09: The Show on PS2?
