If you remember rugby league on the PS2 then you have an idea about the gameplay. This game contains some glitches which may be annoying but you can't score easy tries from a scrum and wind has a factor in all kicks. The conversion kicks can be very difficult if your not in front. There are 3 difficulty settings with Easy, Medium and Hard. Medium can be quite challenging but one you get the hang of the controls and the game, then you will have better games. Don't bother with hard since you will get smashed. But the gameplay is not bad and it is mostly a very fun and addictive game.

Commentary is like the same commentary as in the other rugby league games with Andrew Voss. Mostly has commentary is all over the place and it is not like the FIFA commentaries but FIFA should not be compared with this game. The on-field sound is great with player sounds when tackling and crowds either cheering or booing.

Graphics are good for as for standards on the Xbox 360 and PS3 but definitely better than PS2 graphics. Most of the players are very likeliness of the real players.

There are 3 game modes. Quick Match, Competition and Xbox Live or PSN. Unfortunately there is no franchise mode which has great for rugby league 2 where you got to trade players and continue into the next year. But competition mode is just a normal mode where you verse other teams and see if you can get to the finals. You can't trade players and you can't continue next year. You will have to restart again. This may hurt the sales for this game but online play with friends is great fun.

For a game that costs AU$109.95, you don't get much value in the product but this game is really fun online and is addictive. It may be best for those rugby league fans who love rugby league games and don't care if it is bad or not (just like me). If you don't want to pay that much, just wait for the price to go down or go rent it. Definitely recommended if you tried this out. It's fun against friends.
