Fail's at Release fails to deliver

User Rating: 3 | Rugby League Live 3 PS4

It's a league game. Forward play is crucial. Guess what, you can't use forwards hahaha.

What option is left? Oh to throw it wide and hot potato up the field. Yes that works but it's not like the passes are responsible for slicing the defenders it is in fact something terrible...in game mechanics regarding ai controlled players that either run away from the play or better yet stand still and jog as though they are trying to warm up. Line breaks in this game are predominately related to the incompetent ai and overall structure of the game.

For those of you finding it fun that's great. But is it fun cause it's a league game and we don't have a choice or is genuinely fun?

I don't need 10 hours with a game to let it grow on me. Lol. The flaws are evident within 5 minutes and only increase with more game time and cause more frustration.

I returned my copy. Hopefully it gets patched up and in the future I may pick it up. My concern is that we waited several years for this game and it seems so incomplete. Rugby League live 2 was a huge upgrade on rugby league live 1 but this is almost a downgrade on rugby league live 2.

Forwards are next to useless, you're better off building a team of backs... This is more evident on Pro difficulty. Just chuck all those slow useless forwards on the bench and bring on your speedy backs, there's next to no drawbacks to this.

Defense seems like a luck of the draw. No matter what type of tackle you attempt, low, high, dominant, you just have to cross your fingers and hope the computer doesn't fend their way through, cause once they break your line, good luck chasing them down. Holding down the tackle button doesn't seem to make much difference no matter the technique I try.

AI is horrendous. Again in Pro, this is more obvious. You need to control every player on your team as the AI is prone to letting the attacker run by them constantly. Which brings me to the next issue, selecting players is so wonky, it can take a few cracks before you finally select the guy you want, which by that time is probably too late.

And what's up with the random strips? Is there anyway to defend against them?

These are just my main gripes off the top of my head. The game has it's pros too, like nice graphics and from the glance I took, a decent career mode. But unfortunately that gets overshadowed by the problems in general game play.

I tried to like RLL3, I really did. I've been dying for a decent RL game, but this is not it. It brings some good ideas to the table, but the glaring issues and frustrating oddities that randomly occur rip any fun that can be had. Really regretting my hasty purchase,

Unfortunately I'm experiencing crashing now, everytime I enter career (rookie) and try to 'advance to next event' I get a crash, I have played one full season and am mid way through a 9s compThe game only crashes in this particular save as I have multiple careers under different saves tried a work around by using the 'calendar' instead but this also caused crashing so my career is stuck.

Over all got my money back never again.

the handling and the utter disappointment of RLL3 $119 down the drain for somethink thats still is in Beta your got to be joking right!!!! More bug's and glitch's than postive feedback, freezing, crashing on rookie start up..Like to know what the **** where the tester's doing clearly these would of stood out a mile!!!Or where you rushed to release this for the money grap!!!! and let US THE PEOPLE paying our money for it do the OPEN BETA testing for you!!!! RLL2 wasnt as bad as this at release just wrong just wrong.i can clearly seeing this get chewed up and spat out by reviewers...Sad to say this but don't think you should make another Rugby league game..

Arl 96 was better
