If you have the slight interest in the Half Life world you MUST check this out. I'm not going to try to explain what is happening, you check out this collection of assets regarding the investigation.

Rumor has it that Ep3 and/or Portal 2 or both are about to be announced, and that something is about to be revealed on GDC on 3/11

Sat, 24 Oct 2009 05:48:22 -0700 soft season http://www.gamespot.com/users/ne0man/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25748629 So lately I haven't been gaming as much as I'd like. also there aren't many games being released out there lately that really grab my attention, apart from Brutal Legend and the upcoming Dragon Age. Well thats good news for me, cause I'm still half way through Fallout 3 (which by the way was a game I criticised a lot before release but I'm in love with it now) and I'm in the middle of another playthrough of Battlefield Bad Company (this game surprised me a lot cause I wasn't expecting too much from the single player campaign, I'll be dropping a review soon).

Last week I was offered a bundle pack containing Kung Fu Panda and Lego Indiana Jones, and I'm really enjoying Kung Fu Panda for being a game that sticks to platforming conventions (how I missed playing a 3d platformer) and having a surprisingly deep combo system.

Now Forza 3 was released and I know playing through it will be a thrilling and long journey, I have been squeezing the most out of Forza 2 these days in anticipation for it. The thing that I like about Forza Motorsport 3 is the fact that I will enjoy it like a snack in the days to come, cause since I won't have much time to play it due to the 3rd year of college, Forza always had that awesome variety of events that take from 30/60 minutes to 3/4 minutes to complete, so when I'm really busy i'll still pick up a car, a quick event and relax a little behind the wheel of some beautifuly rendered cars. Hope you have been getting most out of your gaming setups than I have!

take care my friends

Tue, 21 Apr 2009 15:14:32 -0700 Marvel vs capcom 2 for xbla and psn http://www.gamespot.com/users/ne0man/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25658055 the rumor been around for some time now, but these are some great news for a lot of gamers beginning withcapcom releasing a new promotional teaser site:

http://www.tu4ar.com/

-tu4ar supposedly stands for "Take You For a Ride" which any mvc2 fan recognizes as a repeated line in the game's most annoying song, and the page features a countdown and a big "2" in the background. The countdown is set for 6 days as I write this, almost the amount of days remaining until CAPTIVATE '09, capcom's expo.

-the same website could be reached from this address: http://dev02.capcomusa.net/mvc2gmt/

-and check this, a new entry on the website xbox360achievements lists the achievements for a game called Marvel vs Capcom 2:

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/marvel-vs-capcom-2/achievements/

-what more? on the online store www.shopto.net there was a listing for the product "XB2MA11 - Marvel vs Capcom Tournament Edition Arcade Stick"; on the product's release info is stated "TBC" and on the product description: "Sorry, this product no longer exists in our database."

SO...it's pretty much confirmed! look forward to fight against some of you online soon!

Mon, 02 Mar 2009 07:04:37 -0800 retroactivity / A bad time to play http://www.gamespot.com/users/ne0man/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25633975 Well, I found ebay! And I discovered the inherent addiction on the act of searching for things you don't quite need by you want to own to feed consumerism. Just searching for items and comparing the prices kinda fills my wallet-emptying desires.

So the thing is, there's a lot of games I never got to play or own back in the day, and there's lots of great business oportunities on ebay.

So this is to me an opportunity to get some cheap good games for the Xbox, since the 360 has backwards compatibility with most xbox games, and most of them are being neglected by gamers eager to get rid of them and earn some bucks.

I recently got Mortal Kombat Deception for the Xbox, I loved it on the ps2 but since I don't have a working ps2 no more I wanted to add it to my collection, and while wandering around here on gamespot I remembered that I always wanted Mortal Kombat Armageddon but I never got a hold of it and it is nowhere to be found where I live. so that took my ebay virginity. This must be how my sister feels when she's at the mall

I always wanted Guilty Gear X2 #Reload but it's 15€ on XBL, and it's not available on my zone either, so I got it for 10€ (5€+5€ for shipping). then I found what's the use of the Wishlist on gamespot, and I looked for Unreal Championship 2, and bough it!

Yesterday a friend of mine that's conveniently working on GAME (that's BelzebuVlad, add him!) texted me saying he had Halo triple pack for 9,99€ and Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) for 4,99€!! so I got those as well!

A good sense of opportunity, some good friends and a money-spending beast inside me just enlarged my game collection for good. BUT...I just started the second semester of my second year at the university, and there's also resident evil 5 on the horizon...

That's it for this blog, I'm having Methods of Multimedia Conception and I'm bored. How are YOU?

Wed, 04 Feb 2009 15:49:31 -0800 more great games coming http://www.gamespot.com/users/ne0man/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25621882 Well, to begin with there's Resident Evil 5, ever since I played the demo I was sure it was going to be one of the great action games of 2009, and probably of this generation of gaming, as judging from RE4 which I played to exaustion. Now splitscreen coop, it will be on my 360 for a long time.

Then there's the great Chronicles Of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena. I loved the first one, it was a surprising game, featuring so many different gameplay styles that were amazingly fit together in an awesome package and plus a great story that was even better that the two movies it's based on. Now with a new campaign and multiplayer and revamped graphics it's gonna be a must buy. I'm yet to be disappointed by Starbreeze (Darkness was awesome too).

Now the big problem is: how will I earn the money I need to buy them :S

I accept donations XD

What are you expecting to play in these next few months?

Then DON'T PLAY IT! http://www.gamespot.com/users/ne0man/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25600180 Goddamn! how EA manages to brainwash this new generation of kids...How come every year the best selling titles are PES, FIFA and NEED FOR SPEED? every single kid I know of who sligthly plays games plays need for speed, every guy I know who has a modest pc rig plays need for speed, passing on games like GTR, GRID, DIRT, or even TEST DRIVE UNLIMITED. And console wise there's BURNOUT PARADISE (it's EA published, it's GREAT, how come NFS get's so much publicity and Burnout is almost neglected?) PROJECT GOTHAM RACING 4, GRAN TURISMO 4, FORZA MOTORSPORT 2, MIDNIGHT CLUB LA...

Do you have the NEED FOR SPEED?? Then play SOMETHING ELSE! Play Burnout, Flatout, go play some Wipeout for christ's sake

so much disinformation...

Fri, 28 Nov 2008 04:15:33 -0800 Please social life, go away!! http://www.gamespot.com/users/ne0man/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25582786 Damn, these are hard times. I remember fondly the times when I had so much free time that I could beat an RPG in 3 days in a row, or when I beat Half Life and Opposing Force in a week... But now I can hardly sit down grab the gamepad and play for more than 30minutes per day. Waking up at 9:00 am, classes until 8:00 pm, going home, having dinner, then going out at 9:30 pm, having a coffee, then returning home at 11:30 pm...5 days a week, doesn't leave much time for gaming. In the past 4 months I bought Forza Motorsport 2, Fable 2, FarCry 2, Perfect Dark Zero, Soul Calibur 4, Virtua Tennis 3, Duke Nukem 3D, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD, for the 360 (most at a bargain price) and Battlefield 2 complete collection for the PC.

I barely touched Fable 2 and Forza, i'm at 62% on FarCry2, I just began the career on Virtua Tennis 3, and I might have played 4 rounds on Battlefield2...I'm up to the neck with school work, with group work I have to do by myself, with paintings to finish...

I miss those times when a bunch of people would gather around a console, play those fighting games, laugh, those times when we played so many games and we would always exchange those experiences with our friends...

How I wish I was still an hardcore gamer...

Sun, 19 Oct 2008 11:00:12 -0700 The Fall of great games http://www.gamespot.com/users/ne0man/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25558257 Hey, who's with me? let's rob a bank or do something profitable...Over the last months of 2007 all those 360 and ps3 fanboys were shouting about how this year wouldn't bring any remarkable games to either console, and that it would pale in comparison to the 1997/1998 rivaling year of 2007. Well as always, that group of biased people was wrong.

Well I feed myself off videogame news, so I knew what was in line this year. First there was Burnout Paradise, Grand Theft Auto 4, Metal Gear Solid 4, Soul Calibur 4, Star Wars Force Unleashed...While Soul Calibur 4 and Force Unleashed were a tad disappointing, all those others were quite an accomplishment, and owning Burnout Paradise and Grand Theft Auto 4, I knew my game collection could already endure years of fun even if I didn't add more games to it.

But now...Oh boy, Fallout 3, Farcry2, Fable 2, Midnight Club LA, a whole bunch of great Xbox Live Arcade Games and the already cult game Dead Space (I wasn't expecting such amout of greatness there)...How will I manage to put my hands on those?

I have preordered Farcry 2, as I'm a FPS fan who has been leaving that category behind, the reason being that the genre is oversaturated of extreme Graphical polish, average gameplay, and if not, a lot good games lately but all on the same league, with no inovation in sight. The pre-reviews have been generous, with the average on the 9.0/10. The first Fallout 3 review is a 10!! Fable 2 was rated 9.5! Midnight Club has got an 8.0 (which is not bad at all since it's an arcade racing game), and Dead Space is considered the sleeper hit of the year, and I bet it fell under most gamer's radars, it looks like Resident Evil 4, Alien, The Thing, and Event Horizon refined and thrown into a Turbo-blender...well, I think all I can do is suffer a bit, make use of the virtue of patience and enjoy the next Friday, the day Farcry 2 arrives over here.

So, what have you my fellas been waiting for, what will you manage to play among this wave of great games? Share your thoughts with me!

Sat, 27 Sep 2008 21:31:44 -0700 going Postal http://www.gamespot.com/users/ne0man/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25543912 zzzz...Oh is there someone actually reading this? Bah, anyway here's a sensitive subject for most gamers: UWE BOLL!!!! TREMBLE IN FEAR!

Yeah, I hate his movies, at least the ones I was courageous enough to endure for at least 30minutes (Alone In The Dark, House Of The Dead).

Have you heard about his last movie? Postal the movie...yeah yet another movie based on a game. And I watched it...I actually managed to watch the whole movie. And guess what? I loved it. Really, a movie who pokes on the soft spot of the not yet fully recovered "post WTC attack" american society. It shows children being shot! It's gruesome, it's absurd, it is politically incorrect, it's unrated, outrageous, it's not ambitious, and it manages to be pretty faithful to the game it's based on since it was made in collaboration with the creator of Postal, Vince Desi. The creator of the Postal franchise has a cameo in the movie, the sequence where he asks Uwe Boll (who mocks himself) "What the f*** have you done to my game Postal??!", they start fighting in the middle of a firefight and Uwe Boll punches him with a boxing glove. that's a reference to this: http://www.gamespot.com/news/6152741.html?tag=result;title;0

It's a movie full of satire, and actually carries a message: you shouldn't take life too harshly and you should move on and push forward mostly when things seem unsurmountable.

If you can manage to watch this movie without prejudice, with a bunch of friends, I can almost guarantee you'll have a good time. Hell, there's a cat being used as a gun silencer in it!! there's a guy shooting the crap out of everything wearing a "Peace" t-shirt and an "Anarchy" tattoo!

the movie has reached 3,9 on http://www.imdb.com/ which is quite good realising that half of the people who rated it just gave it 1/10 for the sake of it being a Uwe Boll movie, without giving him the benefit of doubt and actually watching the flick.

Postal on Internet Movie Database: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0486640/

Sun, 21 Sep 2008 20:22:09 -0700 Need for Hasty rehash on Most Wanted http://www.gamespot.com/users/ne0man/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25539713 Oh I cracked myself, I just watched the new gameplay videos for Need For Speed Most Wan....Undercover on IGN.com and there was a cop chase!! then the driver smashed a metal tower to lose some cops, and earned points by destroying cop cars! and was chased by a helicopter, all this with a suspenseful soundtrack and the beepings of the cop walkie talkies, with the scenario bathed in this dusk like lighting...does this sound familiar to you??

I have no Need for another game like this...I mean I'll probably enjoy it, but that's just because it looks like and seems to play just like Most Wanted, but I can already play that game, so why is EA releasing it AGAIN??! just see for your self:

Thu, 28 Aug 2008 22:14:52 -0700 nostalgia... http://www.gamespot.com/users/ne0man/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25519549 It's 6:04 AM here...can't sleep. I'm going through forums and refreshing the browser, not sure why i'm not tired and off to bed yet. Can't quite remember what I was looking for when I stumbled into some Carmageddon related news and I wondered...What's taking them so long for another Carmageddon sequel? This morning I'll be sleeping and dreaming of photorendered 2d sprites splattering, bloody tire marks on the asphalt, Fear Factory pumping in my ears with full metal contact destruction, post apocalyptic racing with futuristic cars tuned for death.

Am I the only one who thinks that the world needs a next-gen Carmageddon 1 remake?? Can you imagine the potencial? the same addictive gameplay, those old maps we all know, the beautiful and even now considerably great amount of cars...but with a state of the art graphical engine, havoc ragdoll pedestrians...I would pay full price for that! well...I would be happy with the original game on XBLA...

I'm done, I should be waking up by now...

Sweet bloody dreams

Wed, 06 Aug 2008 11:26:12 -0700 The Dark Knight http://www.gamespot.com/users/ne0man/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25496791 Yeah, me too, I loved the movie...it's not just a "superhero blockbuster box-office holywood hit", it's one of the best thrillers ever made. It's on par with Seven and probably surpasses it, it's so much greater than Batman Begins and it was the best "superhero movie" ever. I hope this movie finally brought Christopher Nolan to the spotlights, he's a great director.

Well that's enough, there's enough talk about the movie everywhere.

Gaming!! I've been playing Geometry Wars 2, I have to stop doing it though, my right thumb is sore, I think I've played so much that my fingerprint is disappearing!

Other than that I'm trying to finish Burnout Paradise and waiting for the Davis update, how great will it be crashing a Bike at breakneck speed...at night...with fog??? After so many time playing Gran Turismo, GTR, Forza and PGR I almost forgot how fun it is to play a real arcade racing game.

Well this is my first blog, I was tired of that "Start Your Blog, Speak Your Mind" on my profile....

What about you? Speak Your Mind! what are you into lately, what games are you looking forward, what's your score in GW2?? Why don't you insult me, brag about nothing, just say something...CYA soon
