Mon, 25 Oct 2010 02:40:57 -0700 Morality in Games http://www.gamespot.com/users/jirf/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25878642 From my experiences with moral choices in games, I must say that it's not so much "Good vs. Evil" but more like "Suck-up vs. Total bastard". I have no problem with this being the case but acting like a total d**k-head isn't really evil, evil is being a nice guy upfront and then cleaning the babies from between your teeth when no one is looking. No one seems to notice that, has no one seen "The Usual Suspects"? Has Kevin Spacey taught us nothing with his deciet?

Sun, 24 May 2009 04:32:45 -0700 Suprised http://www.gamespot.com/users/jirf/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25673108 Well I went and rented Legendary and I wasn't too excited to play it, when I started it was about what I expected, maybe a little better. WhenI got up to the heavier weapons I really started enjoying myself and didnt put the controller down all day, because of my enjoyment of this gameI am recommending it as the creatures and old fashioned gunplay make this better than expected -7/10.

Fri, 17 Oct 2008 16:13:43 -0700 Too bloody cybernetic. http://www.gamespot.com/users/jirf/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25557135 Whats the point in calling a game too human when there are no refernces to be being too human at all. I got this game with hopes it was misunderstood like SW:FU or alone in the dark, but unforunatley most of you Spazzo's were right, it is a bad game, and one that feels extremely cheap. The stupid game gives a bad name for other action rpgs and i hope this game wont put you off buying fable 2 because i started playing the original again and bloody hell its good. Reveiw for too human lower if you want a forgiving and yet undeserving review for it.

Mon, 15 Sep 2008 04:15:09 -0700 Thank God. http://www.gamespot.com/users/jirf/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25534365 Im actually quite relieved The force Unleashed only got a mediocre score, i sort of wanted this game but not as much as fable two, but I only had enough money to buy one seeing as i bought alone in the dark recently (great game by the way, better than bioshock in an off-topic matter) and saved up enough for fable two only. This score removed all temptation of buying this game for the moment, i have had other instances where the score has been high on a game and i went off and bought it and didnt really enjoy it, Bioshock persay, its a good game but its not fun. So be looking forward to be seeing alot less of me on gamespot, I'm still busy with the crossbows and made one go 40 Metres, i call it the Anti-christ, because when loaded it looks devilish.

Tue, 12 Aug 2008 01:58:29 -0700 I have been busy. http://www.gamespot.com/users/jirf/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25502135 Yes indeed i have been busy, i was wrapping up some of previous games (by that i mean completing) and was also on a very unexciting adventure camp, as well as that i have been busy with other stuff (did i mention that i make crossbows and projectiles for a hobby?) including the perfection of my latest model of bow which i name The Clunker, because when i shoot it it makes a clunking sound. That just about wraps up what i have been doing since i got my HDTV, I probably wont be that active here anymore so dont worry if i dont answer my messages.

Regards, Jirf.

Mon, 21 Jul 2008 02:35:12 -0700 Living Life in HD. http://www.gamespot.com/users/jirf/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25480080 As you do not know, i just made my largest purchase ever two days ago, this purchase has made me feel very good about myself, it was a HDTV. After passing three birthdays i finally managed to save up enough for a beautiful TV, and after just recieving my fairly good report card my mum gave me permission to go and get my wonderous and ever so glorious HDTV, which has been absolutely amazing so far, most games have had their visuals amplified 100x by it, while others (Halo 3) have had no change at all. A worthy purchase and I will be sure to be getting XBOX live soon especially since relatives are finally realising that their better off giving me 20 bucks rather then spending it on something i do not want, so look out for Kahada. I also just saw The Dark Knight, and it is absolutely spectacular, it replacing dog soldiers as my favourite movie.

One word... YAY, it took me ages to figure out how to actually make a banner that looks okay, its not anything special, but after constantly trying to figure out how to upload pictures into paint, you go a bit... Crazy!

Tue, 01 Jul 2008 00:17:45 -0700 My top 5 favourite movies... http://www.gamespot.com/users/jirf/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25458498 This segment will hopefully tell you a bit more about me and what my tastes are.

NO.5... Jurassic park. Not much to say here, most of you have seen this, I would classify it as a classic.

NO.4... Unbreakable. an absolute classic, I only recently watched and enjoyed the whole ride. A must see.

NO.3... Underworld. I love everything to do with creatures such as werewolves and vampires and this is definitely my cup of tea. watch it.

NO.2... Underworld Evolution. The obvious sequel to underworld. I found it simply better than the first.

NO.1... Dog Soldiers. An amazing movie, you definitely shouldn't pass it up. Go rent it... now!

Fri, 27 Jun 2008 23:01:20 -0700 Best Fest! http://www.gamespot.com/users/jirf/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25455441 The most appealing/fun/interesting games I have played, they all have an interesting story and a unique style of playing, these aren't necessarily my favourite games, but they are some of the best.

NO.5 Dead Rising is in yet another of my "fests", this is not one of my absolute favourites, but is executed so well that it is very enjoyable. Unfortunately not many people have played it.

NO.4 Mass Effect, a superb game, definitely not one of my favourites, but is very unique and interesting, I thought it deserved a place here.

NO.3 Morrowind, this is one of my favourite games, it explores so many "never before seen" concepts, which I found exquisite.

NO.2 The Darkness, an intricate, unique game, which is one of my absolute favourites. It has an interesting concept and an extremely interesting style of gameplay... Breath taking.

NO.1 Oblivion, the sequel to Morrowind, a beautiful and complicated game, executed with such finesse, making it the best game around.

Mon, 23 Jun 2008 02:10:19 -0700 Aussie Rules!!!! http://www.gamespot.com/users/jirf/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25450183 I joined the footy team for my school this year. we leave for footy about a quarter into the day so we miss out on pretty much all our subjects, this is because we have to watch the year sevens play and provide them with support. unfortunatley while the year sevens were playing, one of their players knocked another player down, it was actually quite serious and very funny because he was a fraction of the other boys size. so we waited for the ambulance and eventually the waiting went into our game... and caused some "problems". our game was real tight and because it was shortened it stopped the opposing team a goal, if they had scored the goal, they would have won (this was the grand final). disaster struck they attacked us, our instant reaction was to attack back so we did and a massive brawl broke out, it was totally AWESOME, i smashed so many people, i felt sooo exhilerated. by the way this is aussie rules meaning its not gridiron, meaning that injuries and fights arent allowed and dont break out too often. mad stuff....
