Still living with my girlfriend, we've been together over 2 years now (thank you very much).

I've developed an unhealthy obsession with Mountain Dew.

I've started wearing Girls' skinny jeans, because mens skinnies are always so expensive.

Christmas is coming up soon and I'll be spending the first half of it up north with my girlfriend's family.

Everything is nice.

...

And now I've probably jinxed it for myself. But you know what, fudge it.

I'm listening to the breeze coming in through our terrible single glazed windows and you know what you just did.

In my spare time recently I've been reading player reviews of games I have or am gagging to get my hands on. Now I like reading player reviews because sometimes the critics don't always touch on everything I want (hurhur) but some people on Gamespot are stupid.

Stupid people drive me insane sometimes!

I'm not going to name names but I'm talking about a couple of reviews I read for the new Smackdown 2011 game. I hate it whenever people write misinformed reviews and say that a game is bad. For example, one reviewer said you could no longer drag people while they were laying on the floor; then they complained for this reason that the game is difficult. This is untrue! A quick read of the manual would tell you all the controls and I know I've done it before.

ARRRRRRRRRRRGH IGNORANCE

But that's not it. Someone was describing something they personally found annoying with the game (which I didn't agree with but that's not the point). They said they wouldn't play the game again until a PATCH was released to fix whatever it was they found annoying. Now I don't care if they play the game or not but for them to expect a patch for something as trivial as what they wanted simply because they themselves found it annoying just baffles me!

THAT'S NOT HOW PATCHES WORK BLAAAAH IGNORAAAAANCE!!

Patches fix what's broken. They don't alter the game for specific people who want something different; they fix bugs. Real problems. Yarrrrrgh, that's about it for now. If I sound grouchy it's because I started writing this in the morning. Anyway I guess I should leave your eyes alone for now.

I'm listening to the battle music for Enchanted Arms and you've just read my blog.

Wed, 05 Jan 2011 15:01:24 -0800 So I've got a crush on comics http://www.gamespot.com/users/Murj/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25898650 So for Christmas, my girlfriend got me a certain comic book after she had to listen to my mindless and awed discoveries about the history and previous stories about one of the most entertaining villains of all time.

LOVE

Now, this is the first comic book I've ever read. I love this book. I look forward to re-discovering it time and time again. I may even buy another copy of this book (and maybe even the original version too) to leave unopened in mint condition. I've never loved something so much to ever want to do this before.

There's a shop called Forbidden Planet, which caters to nerds just like me. I've always wanted to go in, even before I found out that I actually like comics. I looked up on their website and found a comic which so far has only two issues but sounds amazing from the blurb.

The art is pretty buff too.

Comic Blurb wrote:
Welcome To The Infinite Vacation, Where Changing Your Life Is Always Just A Click Away!

Mark lives in a world where alternate realities are up for sale, and buying and trading your way through unlimited variations of yourself is as commonplace as checking your email or updating your status. But when other "hims" start dying suddenly and he meets a mysterious girl who wants nothing to do with "life-changing," he'll learn the truth about the universe he stumbles through, and what happens when your vacation turns on you.

I seriously cannot wait to get my hands on that comic and I hope it sells enough to make it past Issue #2. Anyway, enough about me babbling on. I haven't felt this excited since I first started watching wrestling near 10 years ago! Out.

Sun, 12 Dec 2010 16:37:26 -0800 So I've been writing short stories http://www.gamespot.com/users/Murj/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25891482 Hello Gamespotters! And... Ficlyers?

So I've been on Ficly for around a month now in which time I've written ten short stories. Ficly if you didn't know is pretty much the reincarnation of ficlets, the website where you can write short stories consisting of 1024 characters or less. It's pretty nifty because anyone can write prequels or sequels, you can enter stories into challenges and leave feedback on people's stories. Here's my latest story, if you want to read my other work and keep up to date for when I write new stories, why not friend me over there? Murj

- - -

"Oh my God…" I stood up from behind the make-shift table barricade. My mouth salivated at what was within 100 metres from where I stood but my body shook at the sight of what lay in between me and my destination. Zombies. At least twenty of them.

"Are you mad?! They'll eat your brains!" My partner was always a coward. Never ready to step up to the plate when called. He was still whimpering in the foetal position.

"Get up you chicken! We're gonna send these bastards back to Hell!" I grabbed him by the collar and shoved him onto his feet. I handed him his gun. "Getting eaten by zombies is not an honourable way to die, soldier!" He nodded weakly. After three, we charged over our barricade and smashed through the windows.

Guns blazing, we cleaned house on every zombie too stupid to realise their inevitable fate. We delivered the last undead soul and ran triumphantly into Randy's Diner. Best doughnuts in town. As I bit into the raspberry glazed, I chuckled to myself. "Tastes like the blood of my enemies."

- - -

Hope you like it and would love it if you do decide to find me on Ficly too. I can't promise I'll write blogs here very often so you're more likely to get me on ficly. See ya round guys!

It feels nice using my old blog intro again. I finally moved into my room at University two days ago and it's pretty cool. I've got a decent sized room with a desk and chair, bed, shelves, wardrobe and basin with a decent amount of space to move around in. It's a medium sized box room and it's pretty much all I could have hoped for my room.

Despite the fact that I've been here for two days I haven't even slept in my own bed yet! I've been too busy hanging out with one of my best mates here and sleeping in their bed lol. Gets a bit hot sometimes but damn, their bed is too comfy ;D

I've got all my stuff moved in which includes my 360, DVDs, TV and damn near anything else I'd need. Just wanted to let somebody know about it ^.^ Hopefully next time I write to you all I'll actually have something interesting to say. I'm listening to the sound of random kitchen noises down the hall from me and you just read my blog.

Feels good!

They're full of people who don't know what the hell they're doing or full of people who'll spend forever doing one task. But this is not a rant. I hate hospitals because someone close to me is being held captive in one! :O

Okay so she came down with Meningitis. So she should be there but it's scary and I don't like my friends being in hospitals for illnesses like this because I always get worried. Refer to my previous blog post as to who I'm talking about.

Gaaaaaah I hate worrying about sick friends. But I can hope she gets better soon, if she hasn't been let out by then I'm visiting her on Monday, (I had to come home to sort out the things I'm bringing up to University with me, finally moving out of home!) She's been there for over 5 hours now and she hasn't had any tests or blood taken. Arrrrgh.

FIX MY FRIEND YOU HEALTH NERDS.

Sun, 19 Sep 2010 05:17:39 -0700 Hello Gamespotters! http://www.gamespot.com/users/Murj/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25868464 [Signature intro makes a comeback]

It's been even longer since I've posted here again and it feels strange. GS used to be a nice, lively little blighter where I could come and just talk to everyone, post some blogs or whatever. I'm afraid sensitive modding plus other bits in life kept me away from here. Let's bring you up to date on what's happened.

I got into university in a town called Farnham. It's a cool place, kinda small but there's a lot down there. I'm doing a Digital Film & Screen Arts course (DFSA) which will last three years and I'm looking forward to when we can start the work. I've already met some really cool people so I can't wait to move down there. The only reason I haven't moved down there already is because there's a post-graduate living in the room I'm going into until October 13th. So it means I have to spend around £200 ($312) commuting for the first month £_£

My ex and I are now good friends. Her boyfriend doesn't exactly take the greatest shine to me though because people have been telling him that I'm still in love with my ex when I'm not. He hasn't said anything to me but thing is with Uni I can't exactly spend much time with my ex or him so he shouldn't feel threatened or anything.

I'm also coming down with freshers flu! It's slowly but surely taking me over, I've had headaches, earaches, slight cough and a hideously sore throat for the third day running. Also!! Now that I'm working with Macs again at Uni I'm going to start using Soundtrack Pro to make my own music using the loops library. I made some good ones during College which I lost thanks to my stupid USB going missing. But if I make anything I'll try and upload it for people to listen to. I may even try and create music from scratch using Logic or something So yeah, that's everything that's been happening throughout the last while. Glad I've gotten you all up to date. I'll bookmark this place so I can remind myself to blog more often.

I'm currently listening to Suedehead by Morrissey and you just read my blog. Welcome back.

Wed, 02 Jun 2010 15:38:22 -0700 I blog more than I thought http://www.gamespot.com/users/Murj/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25831067 Hello Gamespotters.

There is no poem today, nor is there a lengthy recap of my day. I'm not going to tell you what I'm listening to or make jokes about current events. I was looking back through my blogs and couldn't help but reminisce. I opened up a lot more than I ever remember doing in the past. I guess that's a good thing.

For those of you who don't know, I'm still trying to get over my ex-girlfriend. We broke up about a month ago and we had been dating for 23 months. She was my first love and it's surprised me how hard getting over her would be. Today was generally bad because I found out from her last night that she cheated on me with some guy and that was all I could think about.

But I found the happiness and reassurance I needed from music. I had my iPod set to The Smiths and a song came on which for some reason I had never heard before called, I Know It's Over. It spoke to me a lot and it's really helped me out. It was like a moment where nearly everything clicked together and things just made sense. I'm hoping to get back to my normal upbeat self some time soon but we'll see how that turns out.

It's so easy to laugh and so easy to hate... It takes strength to be gentle and kind.

Love is natural and real but not for you my love.

I'll hopefully speak to you soon.

The culmination of all our fears.

We wait so long for the moments just to dance them away,

Ironically quickening the process of growing grey.

As handsome memories cloud my mind,

I keep searching but have nothing to find.

We can't freeze time because the deal's been done.

A time with more years than nights yet to come.

- - -

We were drawn together like magnets
Attracted uncontrollably
The science of love was undeniable
But everyone knows magnets can repel as well as attract

And when I see you
I can't help but smile
You smile back but you don't know
That I never meant to smile at you at all.

I can feel you all over me
Like an ice cold shower
You still warm to me
But I can't imagine you getting any hotter.

Leave me alone
I don't want to be attracted to you anymore
So cast me aside and forget my name
Leave me behind in a whirlwind blur
You can't see your future
By looking over your shoulder.

But whatever you do
Don't say you hate me
Don't say I was empty and cold
Because I remember the science of love
And all the times we were all we had to hold
We were drawn together like magnets.

- - -

I wonder when I can find a time where I won't have to write poems so much.

You're right that you're all I've got

It's always negative everything
A bitter warning
A sweet idea that leaves a sour taste in your mouth

So what difference does it make?

What can I do except be smothered by you?
I'm drowning in hated love.

About the things that tie me down and make me frown.
Cos by the time the time is found the reason I was sad is gone
But usually catches me up somewhere around.

Can you remember the last time you were happy?
Because I seem to have misplaced my dosage.
I looked around and what have I found?
An angry lady staring back at me,
Well darling, I can't help it.

My patience stretches to enormous lengths,
But really I can't wait for it to snap.
Don't want to be the good Samaritan or patron saint of grace,
Because I really can't wait for my mind to break.

And as the days trudge along I cannot help but ask myself,
Just what am I doing wrong?
Evidently it's everything but I can't find a single shred of evidence…
I guess I'll just keep on keeping on.

Can you remember the last time you were happy?
Because I seem to have misplaced my dosage.
I looked around and what have I found?
An angry lady staring back at me,
Well darling, I can't help it.

And for the final time I turn to you
To tell you what is wrong with me
For the thousandth time again I hear
Nothing was ever right with me in the first place.
And as a disgrace to myself I should be ashamed
That I never wanted more for us,
Well darling, you've never been so wrong.

Everything I do I have done because of you
And the future that nobody else wants to give you.
But now I have you on my back I'm worried
That I can't carry you the distance
Or even see you round the bend.

Can you remember the last time you were happy?
Because I seem to have misplaced my dosage.
I looked around and what have I found?
An angry lady staring back at me,
Well darling, I can't help it.

I hope you enjoyed the read as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Fri, 08 Jan 2010 12:58:31 -0800 So I've Got Mixed Feelings http://www.gamespot.com/users/Murj/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25780382 Hello Gamespotters!

I'm feeling less than happy right now. My girlfriend and I have been having a back and forth argument over how I never want to go out. I can't help it, I like staying indoors. However, if there's a group of us going out then I like to go out. Going out with a group of people is a lot better to me than going out with just one person.

That's not to say that I never go out with her but I just don't like going out with just one person. Often conversation can dry up quickly and become awkward or neither person can think of anything to do or say. At which point, I feel like going home. But with a group it's much more fun because there's always more things going on and you can drift between lots of different people.

So she's annoyed with me right now. Here's the situation:

Yesterday, I told her I would hang out with her today. However, today is the leaving do of a guy at work. I already said I'd go to that. So I call her up and ask her if she wants to come along. She says that she's got very little money and I offer to pay for a couple drinks.

She says no and then starts having a go at me because I'll be breaking a promise to her by going out without her. I try to reason with her and she still has the hump. I've spent the past three days with her but she's still pissed that I can't be with her tonight. As it happens, the drinks tonight is at an over 21's bar meaning I can't go. She's still angry about what I told her earlier about why I don't like going out with just one person.

But anyway, onto something good.

Some of you may know from my other blogs that I've wanted to make my own YouTube videos for a while. Well, that day has finally come! I finally have my own channel which I have so nicely called jmofilms. this channel shall have all manners of video content, hopefully I'll be putting a new video up every week. So check it out, because soon there will be a lot more!

I may add a video or two to my Gamespot profile just to review a game or give my thoughts on something. More like a games vlog. Alright! Prepare to feel the freedom as I unlock the shackles from your eyes because this blog is coming to an end. I'm currently listening to my sisters laughing at an episode of Friends and you've just read my blog.

I've been trying to write my own sort of wrestling show and it's so damn hard. The concept is easy enough but actually writing the shows is pretty difficult. I'm glad it's not my job; I'm doing it to post on a wrestling forum but I may post it in my blog if I fancy it.

Also, music. Specifically, The Smiths. Oh what a wonderful band they were. Still are wonderful in fact. I've been itching to listen to The Smiths a lot ever since going to see Morrissey live in concert last Thursday. It was my first concert and to see Morrissey up close was really cool. One of the best nights ever.

So I just wanted to ask if any of you get obsessed with a band after seeing them live? Or whether any of my readers like wrestling. Not that anybody would want to admit to it I'm sure, but still. I've got to go, still trying to write that blasted wrestling thing. Grrrr.

I'm listening to "William, it was really nothing" by The Smiths and you just read my blog.

Sun, 08 Nov 2009 14:36:46 -0800 So we're getting closer to Christmas http://www.gamespot.com/users/Murj/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25755049 Hello Gamespotters!

Allow me to set the scene. It's currently November 8th. The cold winds have come on all of a sudden. Guyfawke's has finally come to a close in terms of the fact that people have finally stopped setting off fireworks. Blasted things. Halloween has also come and gone, which means there is pretty much just two "holidays" left until the end of the year. Christmas and New Years.

Over a roast dinner last week, my parents casually dropped me the question of what I wanted for Christmas. Naturally I was flabbegasted! I was simply munching on some chicken and gravy and WHAM the question hit me like a piano. They suggested a laptop of all things which really took my by surprise. Usually they wouldn't spend more than a couple hundred on each of us. A laptop alone would cost around £300 for a decent one. Then again, they spoilt my little sister rotten last Christmas (my mum retains the fact that the laptop was dad's idea, not hers.)

I said I'd love one but they always talk about not spending so much money at Christmas and saving up. I would love a laptop purely for the fact that I use the family laptop more than anyone else in the house and that I would love my own personal computer to customise and download whatever the hell I want. So I'm looking forward to such a great gift as anone would be but I'm worried about the long run.

Then again, when they got my little sister a laptop last year it was on top of all the other presents they had already got her. My dad was feeling a bit too generous last year my mum thinks, considering she got CD's, an iPod Nano and other bits. They thought I was jealous because she got a laptop but it was really because I got my hopes up when I thought they were getting me an Xbox 360 and it wasn't there on the morning. Kinda my fault because I thought my parents were trying to trick me when they said they had already gotten me something else.

But anyway, I suppose I'm looking forward to Christmas. I don't think I'll ever get too old to enjoy it. They've already started playing Christmas songs at work as well. Eeeh. I don't mind it. But they're still playing random pop songs in between the Christmassy ones so it sounds a bit iffy. I've rambled on for far too long. If you wanna share any thoughts about Christmas or the fact that people seem to be reminded about it earlier and earlier each year, leave a comment or something.

I'm listening to my cat purr and you've just read my blog.
