Why of Course You Can! http://www.gamespot.com/users/Goyoshi12/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25978943 I'd like to take this blog oppertunity to be a bit of an informer today because I learned of something quite interesting yesterday in the PC Fourms and if you haven't heard then you're lucky to be my friend because I will tell you so that you don't miss it because I love you all; now don't take that too seriously.

So...anyone heard of Fallout? That post appocalyptic future RPG? Created by Black Isle and is (next to the sequel Fallout 2) considered one of the greatest RPGs of all time? The game that makes Fallout 3 (according to another fourm...won't say which one but you could probably guess *cough* SW *cough*) look like a joke? No? Well...it's just that post appocalyptic future RPG created by Black Isle and is considered to be one of the greatest RPGs of all time and makes Bethesda's Fallout 3 to some look like a joke.

This so called "masterpiece of a game" apparently just went free (yes...FREE. F.R.E.E) on GOG for the weekend. So get it whie it lasts and even if you have Fallout on disc already I say just get it anyways because discs break...believe me...I know from experience.

A fascinating deal, I must say, one that could put Steam to shame. I rember way back when I came to this site (three years ago...HOW BOUT DAT $#!+!?) that I was just getting caught up on quite a lot of things like GOTY awards for previous years and such and during the 2009 GOTY Awards on GS they allowed the users a chance to go back in time and see the 2008 GOTY winner (Spoiler: It was Metal Gear Solid 4) and one of the runner ups was a "little" game called Fallout 3. The videos of the game were fascinating and drew me into the dark world and I wanted to learn more of this appocalyptic game. In fact, it also won IGN's GOTY in 2008 over Metal Gear even though IGN practically LUSTED over the game; saying things like "if we could give a game an 11/10 this would be it," and all that nonsense.

Paraphrasing of course but the message still stands that they REALLY liked MGS4 and to see Fallout 3 turn on Vats, shoot Snake in the head with a Lincoln Repeater, and come in and take its place as IGN's GOTY is truly a shock. Yet, as some call it, the "Mos Eisley of GameSpot" said otherwise against the game with claims that I am too lazy to look up for but let's just say they thought the game to be boring, a little broken, and a weak entry in the venerable series. These words got me interested in the games that came before and, as a matter of fact, were what got me into Morrowind. Oblivion, Skyrim, and Fallout 3 looked so completely imppecable and totally AWESOME from videos. How could people talk smack of them? What blasphemy is this!? How good can these past games be?

Well, Morrowind I can CERTAINLY say has MANY features that make it a one of a kind masterpiece and hearing the complaints I can see how it can still after 10 years rise over it's successors and still stand the test of time. Still, questions are left for me to discover...how is Oblivion and Skyrim to me? I played the "first" and am pretty far in to give an opinion so how will the successors work for me? Will I be a crodigy old cynic and look down with detest against Skyrim and Oblivion or will I not care and have a great time and call them each one of a kind to all. Same thing for the Fallout series. This deal, like my Morrowind gift, shall be the start of my descent into a new RPG world. Will I like what I see or pull out to the new and fresh?

Only I and I alone show see that for myself. Anyways, in the mean time, you all have fun with this deal and your memories of Fallout while I begin mine. I've got a good feeling about these games...no turning back now...for war....war never changes.

Goodbye GameSpot friends, wish me luck in this "old" age war.

I'm going to be making some new blogs pretty soon and I will return to responding to people but the problem is GameSpot has been having issues with blogs in which some people, even though mutually tracking each other, cannot see anothers blog. Says it's set to private even though, as stated, they are mutually tracking each other.

They say it's working but can't be too careful so call this a test blog, I suppose. I'll see how many comments I get and see if it's low or not and see the people commenting and then decide if I should go ahead with my idea and retrack everyone. BTW: I am friends with 317 people so...yeah...that could take a while.

So, just say something, say anything, in fact. Say apple. Can you do that? Say apple. Apple.

As you can see...not a big fan of the holiday, tbh. The luster of love and candy wore off of me as I grew older and now all I see today as is a money making holiday. Christmas is also a commercialy used holiday but...come on. It's Christmas! And I get presents from me folks!

What? I'm a lonely man....

Oh, and apparently it's also Arizona's birthday today. The ol' state turns 100 making this its centenial birthday. So, congrats to them.

Yep, that about does it....see ya whenever....which will hopefully not be another holiday.

Mon, 26 Dec 2011 14:30:32 -0800 Well...that's not at ALL what I thought it meant http://www.gamespot.com/users/Goyoshi12/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25966510 I just took a look at what in the world Boxing Day was and I was all set up with Boxing quotes, famous boxers of our time, this picture of Rocky Balboa, and even some boxers just in case.

Now I read up on Wikipedia and it turns out it's about wealthy people with servants giving to their servants a box with a gift in it. Like...Christmas but for slaves. Well, that's...interesting. Although the defintion of that day has changed over time, South Africa calls it Goodwill, Ireland calls it St. Stephen's Day, and in other places like the Netherlands, Austria, or Germany it's called the Second Christmas Day.

Wow, this holiday seems more cooler than I thought. A second day of Christmas? How can you hate that, HOW, HOW! Note: Relatives do not count.

So, if anyone out there celebrates it, Happy Boxing Day. As for me I continue my Christmas by playing me a bit of Morrowind and obtaining the achievements on Steam for the chance of another free game. Enjoy your second Christmas everybody who celebrates it and enjoy your Christmas gifts from yesterday everybody else.

Goodbye GameSpotters, enjoy your second Christmas day as I enjoy the carry over of yesterday's Christmas.

I only make a blog on a holiday. I'll have to change that in the new year. Oh well, Merry Christmas GameSpotters. Enjoy the presents, the family, the tree, and the memories you shall be making with your friends and family.

Feliz Navidad y un prospero Año y Felicidad.

(Translation: Merry Christmas and have a prosperous new year.)

PS: No I'm not hispanic, I just wanted to merge the song into my blog. Not to mention I kinda want to be different, all you guys are just being English saying Merry or Happy Christmas. I have yet to see anyone wish me a Feliz Navidad. Again, I'm not hispanic, just wanted to give a shout out to the real hispanics and say to them in their native tounge that I wish them as well a Merry Christmas. Even if they do not celebrate it.

Goodbye GameSpotters, I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas from the bottom of my heart.

Oh wait, there's this. In honor of Halloween and its scares and creeps and meeps I am going to play Amnesia the Dark Descent!

Not the full game of course as I could never bring myself to THAT commitment to a horror game as I am not a horror fan and I know just how amazingly scary the game is...but I will do this much: I will play the game at the evening when Halloween is offical, with headphones on, sound pumped at the full volume, in the dark, with no one around to ease my lonelieness.

My heart is going to hate me for this...

Anyways, with that I say goodbye to all of you GameSpotters and I hope you all have a safe and Happy Halloween.

(As opposed to my soon to be $#!+ yourself Halloween rather than happy...)

Tue, 27 Sep 2011 15:15:11 -0700 When All You Got To Keep It Strong, Move Along, Move Along, Like I Know Ya Do http://www.gamespot.com/users/Goyoshi12/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25952883 So it's over...why didn't I stay out of it? You know...or not...the epic of fail of GameSpot in the form of their Greatest Sidekick of All Time contest. I particpated in it just cause I was bored and needed a good laugh...then I went to the fourms and...there I was met with unpleasenty. Basically what happened was I said a lot of things I shouldn't have said and participated in a lot of things that I shouldn't have participated in and...well...I'm sorry to the people who I lashed out as. This was what they wanted and I gave it to them....like my good friend berto64. If I could I would have just messaged him saying:

"Dude, shut up! It's the trolls man, this is what they want from you! Don't give in, fight back by not fighting back and turning the other cheek. Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life my friend. "

Now look at what I did. I did the complete opposite and got two moderations for accpeting the invitation and complaining....why did I do this? I'll never know myself. Still the chance to stop and turn around and...as the rejects said Move Along I realized that I should not have joined in...hell I shouldn't have even made a bracket. I've got to not give into the trolls, although I will say that at the time I was a little under the happy weather so I guess at the time I just thought who gives a @#$%? Well...GS does. Even when the contest has been trolled into submission they still care about trolls. Weird...I thought Staff said trolling was fine? I got moderated for trolling though....so I guess in the contest it's fine but on the fourms it's wrong. Well...that makes sense I guess.

Still...I've got to move along...looking back, who cares? All those trolls will probably be gone in a couple of days and GameSpot will be clean once again...but is it ever? Oh well, anyways I've got to move along and so as one of the people in Gone with the Wind said, "I don't give a damn." Although, I'd rather not face a troll storm right now because I'd probably be accidentatly feeding them so I'm setting my profifle to private. I really don't think I want an invasion into my blog. Really...I don't. Not for long though...just until the whole situation cools down. A man, I am not.

So...sorry to all those who thought better of me. I'm still learning many things, we all are, and we will never stop, even as old geezers we'll always be learning something new in this crazy and mad world of ours. This is just one of those things that I need to learn. So that's it...not much in life or in gaming news. Last week I did obtain Portal for free due to the Steam deal which was AWESOME! Now I know why people hold such high praise for it. Except for the length, but still, special games that are masterpieces don't have to be 100 hours long. A simple but special and creative six hour game beats a run of the mill, dumb, and boring, and awful 10 hour game in my book.

So that be it...take care dear friends and let's remember. Life is to short to focus on the small things in life. *cough* *cough* trolls *cough* *cough*

Thu, 15 Sep 2011 20:44:56 -0700 You Got Sloppy, Payne, Ya Screwed Up. http://www.gamespot.com/users/Goyoshi12/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25950895 So just yesterday the new Max Payne 3 trailer was released to the public for viewing. What was my opinion on it? In the words of GLaDOS. It is looking...pretty good. I'm glad we finally got something from Rockstar about Max Payne. It's been eight years since the last game and they finally got us some hardcore proof that it is being made. Of course...being GameSpot and fans there was some whinning and uncertainty about the game losing the soul of Max Payne. Max was always a dark and grim character, his world was a noir tale of crime and corruption. In Max Payne 3....eugh...I don't think it's there. Noir is gone and now the sun is shinning in Max Payne's world and now he's retired and left New York to go to Sao Paulo, Brazil. Crime is increasing in the area and they need the good ol Max Payne treatment. Still people scepticalize on it...after all, this isn't exactly how we envisioned the future Max Payne. I'm really glad they had the music in it and Max's old Voice actor, but yeah it did feel weird.

So am I disappointed? Not really...most of the changes I can understand. Max Payne is human people....HUMAN. Even he has his limit and Max Payne 2 was his limit in the Big Apple. Still, it is sad to see him move on but hey he had to at some point. Many series try to take a turn into unfamiliar territory and it was time for Max to do the same. Now then as for everyone's complaints about him here's a few possible answers I think RockStar is trying to go for.

Complaint

C: No more film dark, brooding, noir feel.

A: We don't really know that...it was only the first trailer. There could be a ton of cool film noir moments. But the key word in there is dark. You think Max would love to just stay in a nightmare forever after losing his loves and his baby girl and of course his many friends? I think Rockstar might actually be trying to make Max real in a sense that even he has limits on things and well...The Fall of Max Payne was it. Give him a break, he wants to go to Sao Paulo then let him go! Besides, Rockstar has some excellent writers, I'm sure that they can give Max that dark poetic edge he once had.

C: It's now going for a FPS Cover Based shooter.

A: What the @#$% are you smoking? Max Payne has always been a third person action game. Why change THAT!? Besides, Rockstar's games are almost always third person action games, so why would they change that. Not to mention people say there will be a cover system and the proof is at a certain point in the vid. I went there and all I saw was Max getting up. It's called crouch people. Even Max Payne 1 and 2 had that. This is more of a raging rant that I saw and it wasn't a lot but hey it's still a complaint and I will put it in.

C: He's bald...

A: Yeah well...what happens when one enters the Witness Protection Program? They have to change your appearance so that whoever is hunting you down won't find you and going bald I believe is one of those things. I think Payne did it here because he was being chased down so now he changes himself up so when he walks in guns a blazin he really scares the crap out of his enemies. Plus, it does make him look kinda bad ass. Not that he wasn't already but hey I think they did it to appeal to the younger audience a bit more. I know it's a marketing tool but companies have to do it otherwise they may shutdown due to a decrease in sales. It sucks, I know, just bear along he may not be like that the entire game. In fact, maybe one of the commenters suggestions will be taken into account and you will have several different skins and costumes to use in single player instead of just bald and ugly.

C: No Remedy...what the hell?

A: Remedy left. They're working on they're own projects, so what if it isn't Remedy? A vast majority of people love Rockstar and their games so come on. Cut them some slack. Nearly ever game they make is in a majority liked by the community so come on guys! Give them a chance. When have they let us down? Don't answer that.

C: What happened to the comic book 5+y1e?

A: People, this is only the first trailer. So there is no comic book stuff here, just wait. I'll bet there will be. You guys are to judgemental for the first trailer; that's not a bad thing but you're all just going off on assumptions. One should keep an open mind on these things, I'm sure Rockstar won't screw this up.

Well that's about all the regular complaints. Cept for the second one which wasn't really a normal complaint but the rest is what I'm seeing in the comments. We all need to just chill out and hope for the best. Could it be bad? Yes. Could it be god without soul? Yes. What can we do? Maybe petition and tell or ask Rockstar about many of the core mechanics in Max Payne that make him Max Payne. I'm not saying it's gonna be bad but I'm not saying it's gonna be good. I'm just glad they got word out so now we can all shut up about it. Except we won't...we never are satisfyied are we? As for the game, we never know what Rockstar is planning so let's all just chill out, take a deep breath, and reinstall Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne for now.

Goodbye GameSpotters, may us remember of our previous visits in the shadows of Max Payne 1 and 2.

Sun, 11 Sep 2011 19:52:51 -0700 9/11. What's Your Emergency? http://www.gamespot.com/users/Goyoshi12/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25950196 Today, don't know the minutes or hours but today, two airplanes under terrorists control crashed into the Twin Towers and brought it down to Ground Zero. Not only that but two other planes outside had also been taken control by terrorists, one crashed into the Pentagon but didn't destroy it entirely. However, the other one was taken back by the people on board; they knew though that the terrorists could take contrl of the plane again if they wanted to and so...with amazing courage they said goodbye to all whom they loved and crashed the plane in a Pennsylvania field. The original target was I believe the Washington Captial.

9/11. A date that no American will ever forget was also for us one of the scariest times in history. At the time I was but a little kid and didn't understand what was going on. Well...I did but I didn't understand the extremeness of the attacks. You see...I woke up one morning, only knowing that it was time for school and I had to get up and have breakfest. When I went downstairs my family were all sitting around the table, my mom was across from my seat, my dad to the left, my brother to the right. I sat down and soon got the 411 on the situation. The Twin Towers had been hit by planes, at first it was just an accident. One plane hit one tower and we all saw it as just an accident; one that cost many lives but we never thought it was an attack. Then the second tower was struck and we all knew, this was no accident. Those planes were MEANT to hit the twin towers and bring it down. We, America, were under attack. It scared everyone, the Twin Towers had been hit and now the buildings were breaking and coming down, many people lost their lives that day, and I mean many. The airplanes hit somewhere near the top but not actually at the top, this meant that all those people above the plane crash probably were killed because...well, let's face it. Can you get out of a building that's collapsing, and you are near the top, and while going down you have to contend with the plane that crashed into the building? I doubt it. What's worse is that day we lost not only people, we also lost heros. The fireman and policeman who were trying to save everyone and get people out of the collapsing building, they too lost their lives. Just think; and I mean no disrespect, what would happen if you were there and you were saved by a firefighter or policeman but he...he was less fortunate than you. So many lives were lost, but let us not forget the people on those planes, they all were just going to another state or whatever to visit loved ones and friends and...now this. My mom and dad wanted me to know about this so that I would understand why some people at school would act as they would. All I knew that something was bad and that people lost their lives...what I didn't know was just how extreme it was and what effects it had afterwards on our nation. It's only a couple of years after that and I soon realized how devestating it was.

Some people I've heard say that we deserved it. We bombed Hiroshima, we influenced western cultures into ours, we are attacking the middle east, we did a lot of horrible things but this? This was unacceptable. You can't just say that we deserved to lose people's lives because we took others lives. What will happen then is we will counterattack and fight fire with fire. Well...here's what I think about fighting fire with fire.

When you fight fire with fire...you can only extinquish it with blood.

No one deserves 9/11. No one deservs War. No one deserves death. No one deserves this. May we forever remember those who died on that day and may we all cherish the lives our lives...the very lives that our soldiers are fighting for us to have. I don't care if 9/11 was an inside job. I wouldn't care if Osama was dead or not. All I know that is true is that we lost many a lives that day. And this is the day to remember and thank them for all their hard work in life...for us, for their families, for their friends, for their co-workers, for everyone.

Thank you to all those who lost their lives for us that day and of course thank you GameSpotters for reading another blog of mine. Take care and know that we must always live today...tomorrow is never promised.

Never forget...never forgotten.

Sat, 10 Sep 2011 15:56:07 -0700 Time For Another Rant! http://www.gamespot.com/users/Goyoshi12/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25949984 YAY! Another rant blog!

Today's topic is one that I just wanted to rage on and on about and I mean this topic is one that just flabbergasts me and needs to be talked about. I mean...seriously...the topic is a user. A user who has made some of the worst choices in history and has spewed some of the most crap from his mouth I have ever seen. So...time to rant on about him and rage at him. I'm not expecting him to listen to me but I just want to speak my mind finally. I'm done staying silent and letting him screw himself up on the website and in his real life, I'm gonna stand up, take a stand, and shout till the cows come home. Alright. Let's get down to buisness.

The user (who I won't say his name until at the end of the blog) has just been one unhappy person and because of his unhappieness he puts it into his blogs and thus it makes him sound like a raging buffoon and it depresses everyone who comments on him. Dude, get off the damn computer. There's something outside your windo, it's called LIFE, I'm sure you know a little bit about it. The thing that keeps you breathing, the thing that is allowing you to you know...stay alive? Go out and expierence life rather than sit on your @$$ and waste away. Go out, play, eat, chat with friends, just get off the damn computer because honestly, contrerary to your popular belief, we don't like to hear your raging opinions; especially ones where you just hate on everything! You hate on the gaming industry, you hate on the media, you hate on almost everything in the universe, dude...CHEER THE @#$% UP! Pop a smile, laugh, do something that actually expresses your enjoyment! Oh and don't go saying that you have fun with killing things in games. That's not fun...that's sick, twisted, and dark man. I know you dude, you cannot and I mean CANNOT be this dark and sick.

There has got to be something you like...like games! You mean to tell me everytime you play a game your grimmicing? Wow....what the heck is wrong with you? Games were designed specifically FOR having fun! That's like the one thing every designer out there makes sure to have in their game. Without the fun stuff then is it really a game? I don't think so. So smile! Laugh! Your still alive! There's one thing! You're alive. I mean seriously all you complain about is games are boring, life is boring, people are boring, the world is boring well listen to this song then come back and tell me if your life still sucks. You have a family, you have a roof over your head, you have food and water, you have games, what more do you want out of life? People out there have it worse than you and all your doing is raging on and on about what? Games? The Media? People? Contests? Geeze dude...just forget about those things, ignore them! Ignore the bad games and go get good games and focus on why their good and maybe how the industry can learn from those games. Ignore the media, I mean...it's the media dude...there's not much we can do to change it. Ignore the contests, it sucks that the people in charge of the contests won't rule out people who will tip the voteing in their favor yes but it's just an online competition. Who cares!? You have your opinion, they have theirs. Nothing more...nothing less. Seriously, just ignore these things. If your making your blogs about these things just cause you can't think up something then DON'T WRITE THEM. We don't care if you take a year to come up with a blog...it would be a whole lot better than the $#!+ you write now.

Another thing...you really have got to get out more. Dude, you don't even have a girlfriend! Your just too busy writing game reviews, writing blogs, and playing games to even go get some? Wow....as Duke Nukem would say..."You've got balls of failure." Go out and get a girl! I know your afraid and shy but you just gotta try...you love the Sims franchise so take a little bit of advice from them. That game has a lot of choices for conversations with other Sims so why not bring that into your life? Just chat with a girl, maybe gossip, ask about her day, ask if she slept well, ask about the movie or show she just watched, then get a little more romantic. It's not that hard man, you can get a girl if you just tried. As for your physical appearance...two words: The Gym. Go and work out dude...you're giving gamers a bad reputation. It's like if a man wanted to shut down the gaming industry because it turns children into fat lazy slobs you would be Exhibit A. Plus, what about your cats man? You have two cats and they need you more than anything in the world, you have to take care of them better than how you're doing now. They need you man, so get off the computer more than once in a while and feed your dang cats! Geeze dude, cats don't live very long so cherish every moment you are with them rather than sit on your butt playing games. Don't let the games addict and control you, you can still play games just...try and manage your time better. OK?

I know I've been very harsh on you lately but the truth is...you need it. Your losing your life to games, man. Your trolling websites like GameSpot here and I and many others hate it. Your just taking life as a joke. Well, this is the last life you have. I don't think your coming back after this one and even if you do you won't remember any of this. So come on...don't screw your life up. I've been harsh but I still believe in you amigo. You can do this. This can all start with just getting off the damn machine.

OK, I'm done with this rant. I've bitten my tounge back because I thought he could improve his life without my help...I was wrong. Anyways, I hope that he will read this blog and will get something out of it. Anyways, I'll tell you guys who he is soon but when I do I hope you can help me help this guy. He's a good kid but this isn't him. So if you guys can help me and maybe remind him that there is something outside that window of his maybe, just maybe he might realize that he needs to stop with games for a little bit and do something to help improve his life. Thanks for listening to my rant (oh the irony) but I had to speak my mind about him. Maybe he'll get better...I'm hoping. He's a good friend of mine and I don't want him to lose his life to games, I've tried to be nice about this but niceness won't work anymore, I gotta be straight up to the point and I gotta tell it in a language he can understand.

So I hope he gets better, sorry for being a little bit harsh but he needs it. Anyways, thanks for reading....or trying to read this rant blog. Hopefully this won't happen again for me and I can get back to having some happy blogs about games rather than these stupid worthless rants. So peace and happieness be upon you gamers and goodbye.

Goodbye friends, may we always remember to live life to the fullest and not lose our lives to games.

Thu, 08 Sep 2011 16:46:35 -0700 The FOX and the Hounds http://www.gamespot.com/users/Goyoshi12/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25949690 (Before we begin I want you guys to go get a beer. We're gonna play a little drinking game. Take a shot every time I mention Sim City Societies, Fate of the World, or strategy games. Good luck)

EDITED: What more is there to say?

If you haven't heard yet...here. Take a gander at this fail on behalf of the news crew over at FOX. "Pfffft.....what's new dude? FOX news is well known for practically being the worst news group of all time," you say. "Yes," says I, "but this is more than I ever bargined for from the chowder heads. It's like the fail heard around the world. These guys have failed so hard now and in this year alone that they've upped their crap factor to 11." FOX news has always been slamming video games, trying to protect children from the horrors of the media, *cough* *cough*eventhoughthe@#$%inggameisratedMformatureandnotintendedforchildren *cough* *cough*, but now they've gone too far. This time... in their latest escapade of stupidity they try to say that two strategy games in particular are corrupting children's minds and their future.

These two games are Fate of the World and Sim City Societies. In Fate of the World you take control of mother nature basically, you are in control of the whole world and as the title were to suggest your goal is to decide the fate of the world, do you stop global warming or do you bring about the end of the world? Sim City Societies is basically the Sim City game except here you build cities and must be aware of their effects on society such as nuclear power and such. There was also a mention of the McDonald's videogame, here players take control of the McDonald's business and try to have the McDonald business live through the years. Each game takes a lot of strategic depth to play them....well, not Sim City but still you get the idea that you really have to think about your actions, especially the McDonald's game. Hardest @#$%ing game I ever played.

So what is FOX news complaining about here? Ratings are pretty much E for everyone so no mature violent content discussion, no sexual themes, no traumatic things right? What could they possibly be ranting about this time? Well, I'll try to summarize what they're saying. God knows it's tough because listening to them is hurting my ears and head. I feel like I'm losing IQ points the HARD AND PAINFUL WAY. OK, here goes.

What they are discussing is the undertone of the games; in their mind set, the games are Quoted from raven28256's blog and possibly video: "evil liberal agenda based on fear mongering and guilt tactics." O___o

Come again? Evil liberal agenda based on fear mongering and guilt tactics? From a @#$%ing strategy game?!?! Are you people high!?!?!?

These games are promoting peace and trying to teach kids that when they take over they need to be conscientious in their decisions and that they need to think things over! Fear mongering and guilt tactics? What? OK, first of all...our world...yeah it's a scary @#$%ing place. Trying to tell them that this is all a lie and that this isn't our world and it's all cheery, happy, Disney landesque is just BS because it isn't true. Guilt tactics? Well yeah there will be guilt when they get into power because every decision they will ever make is going to have consequences. If we keep this away from kids then when they get out into the world it's gonna hit them. HARD. These games are fear mongering because they're realistic. REALISTIC. Never knew games and realistic could be in the same sentence but it's true and FOX is just blaming the games for scaring kids even though their forgetting the real undertone. THIS. IS. REALITY. Oh god this game is reflecting the real world! OUR KIDS ARE DOOMED! DOOMED! Yes they are...but not because of that because you people don't want them to know about it.

They even talk about the McDonald game and are basically criticizing the game because of what it teaches kids behind the burger. Oh ho ho wait till they get to high school and red Fast Food Nation I read it and this game is TAME in its description of the corporations. But not very far off. Anyways, I think they forgot to read the little disclaimer before the game. I really don't want to quote it because after I quote something my text afterwards suddenly is grey and I don't get that at all but...oh well...some things have to be seen to be believed. Here's the disclaimer.

McDonalds videogame disclaimer wrote:
McDonald's videogame is a digital parody of McDonald's. It is intended solely for purposes of of entertainment and education and in no way is meant to represent actual persons, actions, or events. All scenario's and situations are the product of the creators' imagination. The content in this game should in no way be constructed as factual. This game, site, and the creators of them are in no way affiliated with McDonald's Corporation or its affiliates. The McDonald(s) logo are trademarks of McDonald's Corporation with all rights reserved to them.

Oh hey...I'm not in grey.

Uh...well back on track the quote states that this is not INTENDED to be factual or real (which it kind of is) and is simply a parody. Of course FOX news can't take a joke and so they accuse the game of being a dark game for children to play that makes them fear the hamburgers of McDonald's (which they probably should).

First things first. Have you guys at all taken a look at the video or what I written and said, "Somethings not right here...that's not right...that's not right...that's wrong...that's stupid, etc. etc." If you have well good for you because you actually have a brain! See here's one problem with FOX's news on the realistic and global strategy games. THEY'RE. @#$%ING. STRATEGY GAMES!

What kind of kid would play these games? I know kids, we all know kids, and I'm not certain a strategy game is on their to play list; strategies games are deep and a real brain thinker (cept for Sim City Societies) and make you actually sit back and think rather than rush in and try to save the world. Kids are not patient people. Their kids, the guy even gives an example like giving a five year old Fate of the World. First of all, I don't think the kid will care about what is, second of all I think he's too young to play video games...well strategy games at least, and third of all WHY WOULD YOU GIVE THE KID A GAME CALLED FATE OF THE WORLD? I mean once again it goes back to the parents and their never ending decisions to please their kids. But seriously Mom and Dad this game is called Fate of the World. Literally it is a strategy game for the Fate of the World. The title itself says Fate of the World as in THE fate of THE world. The fact you gave a kid this game means you gave him the power to CONTROL OUR WORLD!

Well...figuratively speaking but still. I just don't get FOX News at all. Good lord are they stupid...oh and the guest...TJ. Listen around 2:50. He says that these games are "boring". You just lost all credibility when you walked on that show but you lost it to the negative points when you said that. Again...first it is a strategy game...they aren't excatly the most fun games out there (but some people like them so hats off to you good sirs and madams), but second is if it's boring then WHY WOULD A KID PLAY THE GAME THEN? If the game is boring then kids won't play it because they have short attention spans and if the game doesn't intise them in the first few seconds then they quit and go back to playing Black Ops.

So what have we learned? 1) That you guys are now drunk as hell probably. 2) These games are realistic and so yeah they are a little scary to kids but the scare factor is the fact that it is REALISTIC and not in the fact that it's a game. 3) These strategy games are boring so kids really wouldn't play them anyways. 4) You people (FOX News) are the real liberal like people; you're trying to cover these games up and their real message about being smart and making smart choices when they take charge. 5) They can't read a @#$%ing disclaimer. 6) I hate FOX News. 7) I REALLY hate FOX News. 8 ) Good lord FOX sucks. 9) Did I mention that I dislike FOX? Also sorry if I may have botched some facts. Look I did the best I could guys. I mean...I had to watch and listen to the video AGAIN. I am not doing it again if it means I have to sit through that political $#!+ storm of how a game about the world is corrupting children.

So sorry if some facts were wrong or if there were other reasons as to why this story and video is $#!+ but I think I covered most of it. So anyways, that's it for one day...if you need me I'll be playing the Warhammer 40,000 demo and imagining that those Orks are the FOX News people. Take care.

Goodbye GameSpotters. May you never have to listen to FOX News for believe their political $#!+ storm ever again.

(Apologies if some of my claims are wrong. Listen, I am not about to go back and re view that video. I won't...shoot me in the head, give me a root canal, make me play Farmville. I won't do it.)

Well it's that time of year again for good ol GameSpot. Time for another contest for greatest of game people. The year before last year was the Greatest Game Hero, and then last year was the Greatest Game Villians and we all know how THAT turned out...it was a disaster. The winner happened to be Kerrigan from Starcraft and Starcraft 2. That was NOT at all my thought of the winner, I mean really. Kerrigan? Guess I should play the game before judging but I thought that Joker, Darth Vader, GLaDOS, hell even the Troll's (and sadly my pick) pick General Raam were much better choices. Well I didn't have Raam win but I did vote for him...sorry. I thought he was a cool looking beast and didn't realize the history behind Sephiroth. Now I'm making sure to do my history for this year and pick the RIGHT choices...but it doesn't matter. We're all doomed because of this confirmation from Staff that anyone and I mean ANYONE can vote in the competition...and I think more than once as well. This means that all registered and NON-registered users can vote in this contest.

This is just stupid and ridiculous. I mean according to Staff (yes that is his/her user name) anyone can participate and here's what I guess maybe they said, "It's a character battle and should be treated as so. Campaign away, taunt, or be biased, We dont mind. Trolling and troll-flame hybrids are okay. * We will not be moderating if you call somebody a fool for liking a stupid character. This is fine. I'll go into troll-flame hybrids in a moment." (Staff). What?!?!?? WHAT!?!??! WHAT!?!??! You're allowing this nonsense? You're allowing the trolls to come forth from their smelly and dark lair of hatred? You're allowing them to be apart and destroy people's chances of winning? You're allowing your votes to be tampered with?

Oh of course! It's a contest and competion! EVERYONE should treat eachother like $#!+ and tilt the votes in their favor. -_- Please tell me you guys are not just excusing yourself for not having the code to make non-registered users NOT be able to vote. This is not gonna be good, I'll bet that since the trolls are here their going to vote for a sidekick that is probably the worst side kick ever! Oh god....I can see it now. R.O.B. the Robot...the winner. *shudder* No...we can't let this happen!

But who am I to ay anything against the guys. It's obvious this won't change a dang thing and GameSpot will continue on course with this descion of allowing all users to participate, including non users. Oh well...in the end it is an opinion and my opinion is Alyx Vance....but knowing how popular she is I'm sure she will be a target for the trolls and will lose in the first battle. Look I'm trying to keep optimistic but come on GS. You know that these people don't care about who wins or loses, they just want to screw with our lives and just put on that satistic troll face.

Burr....but who cares...in the end I'm sure everyone will be miserable knowing that their sidekick didn't win. But you know what? Who cares? I my friends have a life and don't care who wins or loses...but this is just wrong GS, letting your votes be tampered with? That's just not right, your letting yourselves get walked all over! You can't do that! You're better than that...or...ARE you?

Apologies to GameSpot...or should I be apologizing? These guys are game CRITICS...they're always critical to games. If they can't take my critique (well...more or less a rant) then...to be nice. Forget them.

((NOTE: I do like GameSpot...the community is nice and the reviewers are solid...it's just that some things about them I find quite annoying))

Take care friends....you too Ricardo.

Sat, 27 Aug 2011 23:02:46 -0700 Just When You Think You Know A Guy http://www.gamespot.com/users/Goyoshi12/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25947665 I think by now you guys should get to see what kind of a person I am. You know? What I like, what I dislike, my personality if it is the
same here as is in the real world, that sort of jazz. So I'm making a list of all the things about me, this will have personal likes and
dislikes on what I like/dislike in general or in society and a look at my personality. Please note though that I will not be saying my name or where I live. Sorry guys but I'm a very cautious person, maybe some other time folks.

Anyways, here's a list of things that not one of you guys knows about. Enjoy.

  1. I am straight up a cat person. Cats rule and dogs just drool. Although there are some dogs that I like, my neighbor has a dog and he's fine. Another neighbor has this little white cotton ball who I like and he likes me, too. Not to mention my friend has a dog as well and he's cool and I like them. But I am a cat person; it just seems interesting because these aren't your typical cats, their much more dependent and friendly and loving to humans. I know…weird right?
  2. |
  3. I'm very creative and come up with some of the strangest yet most interesting things…IN DA PLANET…TA! Or not…point though is that I'm very interesting and creative.
  4. |
  5. I'm a procrastinator…what's new? I think you could all tell that by my E3 blogs or also by the fact of my Minecraft Diary just taking forever or by the fact that I stopped doing some blogs from yore and have just never finished or stopped in the middle and never looked back on it.
  6. |
  7. I like trains.
  8. |
  9. I'm not very critical on games. All I'm looking for in a game is a way to kill some time and just have fun and if the game succeeds in that then…good for it. Of course if the game has more then all the better.
  10. |
  11. I hate it when I want to put catsup on my food and at first it's just the tomatoe juice from the tomatoes used to MAKE the catsup.
  12. |
  13. I'm a vegetarian....and this was before I read a book called Fast Food Nation. I consider myself lucky.
  14. |
  15. I draw some cartoons. Nothing really amazing though, in fact the art work is more or less Leonardo DaVinci on cr@ck. Actually...I think his artwork would still surpass me even if he was high. That makes me sad now.
  16. |
  17. I'm old school kinda guy. My father used to work in a radio station back in the 70's and in this day and age he listens to songs from that era and even beyond. I like the music. True I grew up around it but hey, this is considered the generation that pioneered the music of today. Kinda cool if you ask me. Also I'm not really too keen on today's music. Ke$ha, Gaga, Bieber, Kanye, Pitbull, Jay-Z, and god knows what else. Bruno Mars is OK though, I like his love music. I need to learn me some of that $#!+ and sing it to my crush. Doubt it would work though but hey...if you love someone near and dear you will do ANYTHING for them.
  18. |
  19. I'm a Democrat. Let the flame war begin. Am I fine with what Obama is doing...which is evidently nothing? No not really, but hey look at the mess he's in, it's gonna take him a long time to get it cleaned up and first there's the planning, then theres the action, and then theres everything else and he's only going to be in office for four or eight years and looking at how he's doing since 2008 I don't think he's going to get another four years to help. I may be a Democrat but I like some Republicans like Ron Paul. He's kind of old Republican and trying to take this country back into the old days of Republicans. Hey, if they're better than these days then I'm all for it.
  20. |
  21. I am old $+y|e in music and movie form. Love the old movies but there are some good new movies that are awesome, too.
  22. |
  23. My brother had this friend who always slept over at our house. The two were good friends and one day the friend accidentally left a game of his at our house. He never came back to claim it and after all those years a friend of MINE came and let me borrow his Game Boy Advance for the game. That is the story of how I got Pokemon Red.
  24. |
  25. I like to read the comics. It's some really funny stuff, I mean yes there are a crap load of comics from the 1950's...hell 1920's even but the newer stuff there is Comedy Gold. Look at the comics of Doonsbury, Pearls Before Swine, Far Side, Zits, Get Fuzzy, Calvin and Hobbes, Fox Trot, Bloom County, and Bizzaro. Some crazy and funny stuff here people and your missing it for my wall of words about myself. You should be ashamed of yourself.
  26. |
  27. My favorite book so far is Mary Shelly's Frankenstein. Cl@$$ic and pure amazingness.
  28. |
  29. Team Fortress 2 has succeded the Just Cause 2 demo in amount of time spent in a game. Team Fortress 2: 122 hours. Just Cause 2 Demo: 100 hours.
  30. |
  31. Worst movie I ever saw? Alvin and the Chipmunks. If that wasn't bad enough I bought the DVD. Someone shoot me.
  32. |
  33. Favorite cereal is Crispx. In fact interesting thing with Crispx is that in 2001 I believe Crispx or Kellogs was going to give away a PC demo to Spider-Man the game. I happened to enter and was one of the winners and was sent a demo of the game in the form of a CD. Now that I think about it that's kinda sad that I won a demo of a game and not the full game and back then I made such a big deal out of it. I was a noob. And still am.
  34. |
  35. I'm rather bad at seeing sarcasm on the internet. So sue me. Some people just sound like they are actually meaning what they say and for cripes sake people it's the internet! Your typing words. If you meant to make the words sound sarcastic that's kinda hard to do on the internet considering that it's purely visual. So sorry that I took a comment of yours that I had no idea was sarcastic serious.
  36. |
  37. I'm addicted to games. Help me....
  38. |
  39. I are in your computer. Typing a blog.

  51. I'm considered by friends a funny guy. Not sure what they mean though. I suck at humor.

  53. I joined GameSpot the same day my first cat died. She was fourteen years old when she passed away. May she forever rest in peace.

  55. I hate hardcore Christians. It's those people that are making Jesus facepalm himself. If I was him I'd probably do the same thing.

  57. I hate horror movies. Yeah, sorry. I kinda like to sleep. I Know! What a concept right?

  59. In school I took a course for Honors English. Basically it's a much harder English cl@$$ than English where you go really and I mean REALLY deep into literature. So deep that I expected the teachers to ask me how affected I was by the letter A and how it enhanced my reading. Now that's fine and all, I mean I had to choose a course and that happened to be the one. What's embarrising though is the reason why. See I was really into GameSpot and was thinking of perhaps getting a job there in the future and...well...when I went to the site to see the requirements they said I had to have like a really in depth English skill and so I thought H. English would work. Now that feeling for working at GS passed but I couldn't get out of H. English. I was stuck there. My parents would die if they knew that the reason why I had signed up for a very advanced and hard cl@$$ and the reason I did it was for games in general. Someone slap me please.

Thank you! Well that's a list of things that you probably never knew about me. I know that most of your probably would never read this blog because of the giant wall of words thrown at you so in between eacha and everyone of the numbers on the list is an empty space. Ignore it. The real amount of things is 32.

What? I like to write. OK...make that 33 things actually.

Goodbye and take care. Live like everyday is your last!
