Disclaimer: this review contains comparisons with Crysis 2. If you don't feel like reading how bad your favorite game is, just skip it :)

Let's first say that unlike what you may read on certain reviews, this game is scary as hell. The atmosphere is dark and creepy, there are a lot of dark locations, basements, old houses with spooky sounds (like footsteps on the floor above you) and blood and gore everywhere. Not sure what people miss on that front - maybe the shock scares when something jumps out of the corner. In fact the game got these too, even if not that often as in the first one; but this is good, as this is really a cheap approach that can get boring pretty quickly.

Story wise the game is almost flawless. Can't help but compare to Crysis 2, which was so boring in terms of story, that I found myself skipping cut scenes pretty early. This is unlikely to happen in F.E.A.R. 3. The biblical story of the two brothers is fresh and interesting and the Call of Juarez-like option to play with each one of them is neat and provides certain replay value. I couldn't say the characters of the two brothers were very deep, but they are deep enough to create *some* player-character connection, which is pretty rare for a FPS these days.

In terms of graphics the game is just right. Nothing revolutionary but not the Crysis 2 type of disappointment either. No exaggerated colors or motion blur to hide mediocre visuals. Voice acting and sound is also fine, but the music (where available) was not very impressive.

Even if F.E.A.R. 3 is a console port, the game certainly felt almost like a genuine PC game. Much, much, much better than Crysis 2 - no invisible walls, quick reaction to mouse/keyboard activity and you can jump on objects or crouch under them if they *look* like allowing you to. The game is still very linear, but unlike Crysis 2 it does not pretend to be something else by promising you freedom (i.e. no "you'll-play-in-downtown-New-York" kind of lies).

Fights are pretty engaging, weapons feel strong and causing impact. The AI is one of the best ever - it really makes you think tactically, change weapons and move a lot. There's a lot of fun involved in almost every gunfight. Some of the "boss" fights were somewhat hard, but overall the game is a note easier than it should have been. On "normal" difficulty I almost found no need to use the slow time option and on some levels it felt completely unnecessary.

Overall F3AR is great. It really is a step forward for the series and even for the genre (at least in terms of AI). It is beyond me how come Crysis 2 gets better score on GS when it is obviously worse in every aspect, except for the fun during gunfights maybe. Fortunately for me I don't chose games based on scores, so I couldn't really miss this one.

It is a must play for everyone who loves clever and fun gunfights in a depressing atmosphere, occasional scares and pretty satisfying story.

When I first read some reviews about how different Crysis 2 is going to be compared to the first one, I thought "well, if it's different, then it has to be better; there's no way they can make it worse than the first one".

Well...no.

Graphic wise it's bad. I mean, the scenes of NY are beautiful, the sky is nice and the sun looks amazing. But it's not even close to the effect that the graphics of the first Crysis had on people (and their hardware). It looks too colorful, almost cartoonish, the models are way too repetitive (they used Mercedes S-class model for the yellow cabs!?) and the level of detail is what we had 5 years ago, just awful.

Music is great though, especially the main theme on the menu. Such a waste...

Story wise - pretty boring and generic. And not related to the story of the first Crysis in any way (which kinda goes well with the fact that the game does not have a lot in common with the first Crysis on many other levels). I stopped caring about the story somewhere in the middle of the game. Too bad cut scenes cannot be skipped. The playtime is pretty good though. With about 10-12 hours of play, I cannot believe I see people sniveling on GS that the campaign is too short.

In terms of gameplay - the game screams in your face "I was meant for consoles" all the time. I'm fine with autosaves - they bring some necessary challenge, which wouldn't be there if you were able to manually save on every step. Even the ridiculous "new music unlocked" messages at the end of each level are bearable. But the game is so linear! I was reading reviews about how big the world is...You're kidding me? Have you ever played S.T.A.L.K.E.R.? Even the first Crysis was huge, compared to this. Yes, you're in New York, but have you seen New York from the eyes of the protagonist in Prototype? You're basically always limited to a block or two in all directions and there's usually no point in exploring these streets, because they are empty - no enemies, nothing. Maybe the useless console-meant collectible stuff that no one in the PC world cares about. Good thing is that you can jump/climb on almost everything and use it to your advantage, but that's about it when it comes to freedom.

Battles are pretty fun with the amount of enemies you usually have to deal with. And stealth is a pretty viable option, but on the downside - you could literally cloak-crouch through the entire game without ever being shot at. Another funny thing is that when with automatic gun, you need to empty an entire clip on alien enemies to bring them down, while with the shotgun - two shots are enough. Not very reallistic, but anyway...

What else...Ah, the powers are now just two - strenght and cloak. They're much easier to use than in the first game, but then again you cannot go too deep experimenting tactics in battle with just two powers. You either hide or absorb bullets and that's it. Maybe that's why they introduced the suit upgrades, which are mostly useless IMHO. The game is easy enough to beat on Normal without any upgrades, so I basically quit collecting upgrade points early on. Actually one of the reasons was that on two occasions I miraculosly lost all my collected points before using them, which was pretty frustrating.

Overall, that's a pretty marketing-driven game that's build only for the console-masses. It could not even reach the level of the first Crysis, which was not too high to start with...

There is some fun to play and even beat it, it could have been even called a "good game" if it wasn't all the hype, but with all the expectations - it's pretty average...

Pretty amusing and original concept (at least for me - mind you I never played Dungeon Keeper, to which everyone is comparing Dungeons against). Nice graphics and some good jokes. The strategic element is really good - you really need to plan ahead, so strategic thinkers would be pleased to give it a try.

It wears out too quickly however. The missions are very repetitive, you do exactly the same over and over again, mission after mission. And maybe I would live with that if it wasn't for the scenery, which never changes, like NEVER...

I was able to endure it for about 4 or 5 missions - until unlocking all the gameplay elements (which are gradually introduced to you mission after mission). Then it got too boring and I dropped it.

If it was just 5 missions long, I would give it 7 - 7,5. But it's too long for the level of variety it offers...

This game was one of those that I could never justify buying, even though I am a huge fan of all the guitar , band , rhythm games on the planet but when I saw it at gamestop for only 26 bucks, I said to my wife, sure lets buy it.
What a surprise this game turned out to be, the song set-list was amazing, and the character customization intricately detailed! (Which for the record is a must in any music game.) This game's playability was amazing, not so fast as Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock (Which I did not like.) and not as slow as Rockband 3 (Which I loved!) It was more right smack dab in the middle, and in my estimation that is good.
The Graphics were not over the top amazing, but they were still solid, and fun. It is basically Guitar hero World Tour with a tiny bit more sparkle and I mean sparkle literally. This game has a lot of glam, and a lot of glittering, shiny outfits, and even some outrageous costumes. You can unlock new instruments, new clothes, and in this installment they did away with the money system as well, which they used in GH:World Tour.
This game focuses on mainstream Pop music, but still has a lot of oldschool favorites in it as well. It is fully compatible with all your older GH song downloads and instruments. (all of your Rockband instruments will work as well.)
The music in this game is hot, literally. I mean this game is GH on Pop!
They said they made it for a younger audience , but in my estimation succeeded in making it for me and my wife. Anyways I hope that this information helps and that you get as much enjoyment as we did out of it!

This game is hard to describe, but suffice it to say that it is one of my favorite games to date. This franchise is old, but not as old as the guitar hero franchise, but It always seems to one up itself. What I mean is , that Rockband 2 was just a bit better than its predecessor, and the same is true of Rockband 3. I am happy that these sequels seem to be moving forward instead of, in some cases, backwards.

The graphics in this installment lead to similarities of the trippy effects of The Beatles Rockband, which in my estimation was it's only redeeming quality. There are many plush animated cut-scenes and the music is a nice compilation of 70's rock all the way up to Pop.

Another nice feature is that you can still use all the songs from any track pack you may have purchased, and songs from all Downloads from previous games. This game all around is awesome and a guaranteed endless amount of hours in game play as its replay value is so high on the quest for mastering all the instruments!

The clothing that you can get in game by unlocking challenges is great and there is just such a wide variety. The character customization is also more in depth than in the first two installments. In this version they have done away with the money system, but kept the fans. Now you have challenges that earn you aces instead of cash, the aces then unlock certain things in the game. Some items are clothes, and some are new instruments.

I can not stress this enough, this game is solid, very very awesome!

This game is serious fun, I love the turn table mixing, and the freestyle sound affects. This game reminds me of crack, so addicting and you cannot just take one hit. From the moment I mixed my first track, I was hooked and I knew that I was in trouble, the good kind.

Normally I would never play a game like this, but as I have enjoyed nearly every rhythm game I have played, like guitar hero, and Rock Band, 1,2, and 3, I figured I should give this one a fair shake before discounting it completely. Well It has been tried, and proven that even a person who does not like DJing, or mixing can fall in love with this game. Let me give you the breakdown.

1.)Graphics- In a game like this one would think that the graphics would take a bench role, but not in this game, these graphics are a slick as greased graphite. You are mixing the tracks and watching the gorgeous clubs and dancers go crazy when you make an especially sick loop or slide. All in All, the graphics totally Rocked.

2.)Sound- Now in music and rhythm games, sound is key, because if it sucks, then the game sucks since it is all about the sound. The sound in this game is off the hook as they would say in game! It is refreshing with great artists and many special effects that all sound so great. I give the sound overall a 10.

3.) Control- Well not much to be said here, you either love using the turntable or you hate it, I happened to love scratching that record! so its hit or miss.

4.) Overall Impression- The game was well developed with a great listing of artists, I cannot compare it to its predecessor since I did not play the first but, from friends who have, they say it is a step forward not backwards. This is a game I highly Recommend buying!!

The breakdown for this game!

Graphics- The graphics in Fable are awsome, truely great to behold. I also appreciated the little carachter differences depending on what path you choose , be it light or dark. The bakgrounds are all higly detailed and wonderful. The characters movements are realistic and smooth.

Gameplay- the gameplay controls are easy to learn and very well coordinated. One of the downfalls i saw is that if you choose not to do any of the sidequest and or try some of the features that this title boasts you will find the main story line very brief.(10 or less) The enemies are not as difficult as i had wished them to be, yet to a begginner they will seem tough enough till the game is learned

Sound- The sound in Fable is AMAZING. The sound effects they added in are great, very comical and realistic. One of my favorite things in this game is the variouse background musics witch range from happy, to frightening, and bubbly, to foreboding.

Overall- Well i loved the look and feel of this game even though it was rather short. For some the replay value might be as high as for others, all depending on a persons tastes, likes and dislikes. The going price of this game currently is new 19.00 and used 17.99, for the price i would say that this is a game deffinitley worth buying , if only because it is the only other good rpg for Xbox.

This game is best on the Wii in my opinion having played it on all platforms. The reason it is best on the WII is as follows.

1.) you get to swing your saber like a saber with the Wiimote,
2.) You get to use your body to make force moves, and they actually make sense!

Some of the other awesome features are as follows.

1.) The combat, which is inventive, fun, intense and so many other things. You battle with the light saber which , is primarily for fun because your real weapon is the force. You grow so powerful and there are so many different powers to choose from. In one game you could never master all of them. (thats why I played it twice.)

2.) The places that you get to go, the pilot (who is hot.) All of your allies, it is all true to the storyline of all of the movies. Darthvader is a pansy as always and you totally can kick his behind into next year.(Always a bonus for me.) And the ugly wrinkled emperor. (who is a pain to beat.)

3.) The character development is fantastic for all the characters in this game, but most of all for the main character. You begin as nothing but a mere pawn of Darth Vader and grow to be his largest nemesis. Talk about the rose's thorn moving from a nuisance to death.

The graphics in this game are not what I would deem spectacular, but they do the trick, just not much to rave over. They actually remind me of Marvel ultimate alliance, very cartoonish.
All in all it is a decent game and worth a play.

I enjoyed the character customization immensely. You can be male or female, scarred or the bell of the ball, nice way to be in my opinion. You have many paths that you can follow, and many choices, many quests, and stunning visuals.

When I began this game I was lost, too much to do, and so much to explore, and darn it I was going to see it all. Well by the end of the game I still had not managed to see it all or complete all the quests and that was more of my wanting to see the ending than anything else.

The graphics in this game were well done and epic in scale and proportion. Space was a marvel as was all the different clusters of stars that one could visit. I actually felt like an explorer. The Rover that you get to drive is fun and sniping out bad guys from over 3 or 4 miles away from a remote mountaintop never gets tiring. The combat mechanics were enthralling, and easy to get lost in. As a Halo 3 lover, I quickly learned, that even though it may seem like a FPS when in combat, it takes skill and strategy to survive, so major warning no gungho hero master chief stuff please. (You'll just die.)

The music was so appropriate, grand, soothing, and eerily moving at all the right moments. This game is one I could not put down and did not want to.
The controls were easy to use and the learning curve so slight that it was easy to pick up.

This game is overall a guaranteed 40 + hours of enjoyment and pure pleasure.
