Ashes 2009 has only license of Australia & England so correct name players and faces only for these two teams.

There is complete lack of tournaments in game. And you directly start in semi's or final.

Camera's:
Only 4 or 5 camera's available for reply which is disappointing.

Commentary:
Boring and repetitive which gets stale very fast.

Batting:
For me at-least it is very easy. you can score 4 runs on every ball or six and with the same shot. The game is unbalanced i.e. more favor for batting. The front foot and back foot shots don't seem to work many times.

Bowling:
It is useless in this game. No effect of any delivery.

Fielding:
The ratio of ground(stadium) to the fielder is ridiculous. The fielder has to cover thrice of its covering range which is impossible. The fielder only stops those shots which are within 5 spaces (left or right direction) of his footsteps.

AI:
AI is broken. Even the stimulation is broken scores at approx 6 run rate only when a player can score 18 or 20 runs per over.

Animation:
Not good. No sweep shots in the game. The animations don't seem to be swift. Limited number of animations for batting shots.

Tutorials:
they are good and challenging.

Trails evolution is a motor cycle puzzle game where the player controls a rider on physics (weight of the rider) to overcome all the obstacles and complete the race. The rider only moves in forward and backward direction.

There are many tournaments, stunts; approximately 50 tracks are there in the game. In single player you earn medals, money, unlock events and items as you progress in the game. Players can also design and share their own maps utilizing the in-game editor. The controls for keyboard are very sensitive and it takes time to get used to sensitivity of buttons. You have to strive hard to earn gold medal in this game (i.e. no crashes).

The game appears to be fun for first few hours but due to hard difficulty there is slag in the progress of single player campaign and gradually you lose interest in game.

The game is powered by Cry Engine 3 so the graphics in the game are fine. Beautiful environment the jungle, urban and the mountains feel refreshing when played at max settings. The single campaign is divided into three parts act I, II &III. The story revolves around the three acts.

The sniping is not as easy as it seems as far this game is considered. The focus for aim depends on gamer's heartbeat. While running or holding your breath during a shot i.e. slow motion, our heart beat increases up to '170' and lose focus for an immediate second shot. Heartbeat is inversely proportional to our aim. Sniping targets requires patience so that we get all the shots perfect. Sometimes there are also environmental factors such as wind responsible for difficult to snipe. A red reticule appears during sniping which glows when we have a perfect aim.

Sniping covers much type of different objectives like covering our team while they infiltrate the enemy territory, shooting street lights to cover the dead bodies, get clear shots 7-8 one after another to clear the area. To get a double kill with a single bullet. Shoot a target (person) in a moving car, shooting a pilot in a flying helicopter adds to complete satisfaction of sniping in this game. The longest shot in single player campaign for me was 1549m. The bullet cam is great.

Stealth is also a part of game-play. We can perform stealth kills using knife. Sometimes the only objective of a level is remaining undetected and no shooting like get through the village or park undetected. If you don't follow the instructions you get caught easily and die. The other weapon gamer has a pistol. The pistol does not have a cross-hair. It can be only used for aiming short distance because difficult to judge the movement of enemy. Mostly used for silent kills or when enemy gets alert.

AI partner tells us when to run, stop, wait & shoot. Orders us like "be quiet & don't engage". The radio commentary is also important because we to follow the orders at that instant. At one level when I missed a shot, immediately AI partner shot the target. Enemy AI is always on the run if we are detected; they move in random manner take cover and shoot us. If detected 99% chances are that you will die. AI is tough but sometimes AI enemy does not detect his partner is killed which is weird.

If you play on hard it is quite challenging because there are no hints; no markers on the target that we are supposed to kill. There's trial and error strategy to be applied trying to figure out ways to complete the objectives.

The game could have been easily 8.0 or 9.0 if there was i) no AI partner telling us when to kill and who to kill ii) less of remaining undetected throughout and focus more on shooting iii) Slightly more hours of single player campaign iv) Short intervals between save checkpoints v) Levels where the player himself has a freedom (to think) on how to approach the target, implement his own strategy and complete the objectives not only in one way but 2 or 3 other ways.

This version offers

-various types of suits for Isaac (Space, Furnace, Arctic snow etc.)
-the game saves automatically! Magic right (auto save checkpoint system)
- Only two guns allowed (may be suit doesn't have more pockets this time)
-Micro transitions
-Human enemies Oh my God!! I got scared
-Scavenger bot searches for stuff for crafting
-Cover system introduced
-Random puzzle nodes to open the locked doors
-Machine gun introduced with generic ammo
-Crafting items on bench such as remote, chips etc.
-More fast and regenerating aliens
-Radio messages
-Great puzzles to solve such as rosetta arrangement puzzle
-Climbing Mountains
-Satisfying boss fights which reminds me of big scorpions from Gear of Wars
-an human suicide bomb running towards us in one of the chapters…..quite interesting
-shooting from a spaceship while it crashes on a planet similar to COD
-Isaac can also roll now (didn't quite get the logic that his suit is so heavy that he can barely walk properly but can roll in an instant to evade)
- Fov is too clipped
-Only two weapons say 4 modified weapons to use but some are useless for different situations.
Due to two weapons game-play seems linear and boring.
-Isaac walks too slowly.

-Weapon crafting introduced so that player wastes more time on bench while crafting weapons and he himself doesn't have an idea whether the crafted weapon is going to be useful or not, resulting in only addition of time in completing the campaign or game-play hours extended.

-more cinematic stupid quick time events, pressing 'e' button on right time for actions(such as Isaac closing the door of lab) which hardly responds on PC version.

-Only 25 % of the game is in space and rest on land
-Graphics are fine

Mon, 28 Jan 2013 05:45:51 -0800 007kt reviewed Far Cry 3 for the PC... http://www.gamespot.com/far-cry-3/user-reviews/806837/platform/pc/ ...and gave it a 7.0.

Far cry 3 is a good open world game. There is lot of action and many many things to do while playing the game but still it seems quite dull.

Good:

Environment is fantastic, Beautiful; The sky, greenery, waterfalls and underwater life. The day to night transformation, wild life etc. The sounds are excellent. It's a BIG Game; lots of Upgrading stuff and skills while completing missions.

We forget this important part many times i.e. marketing part of the game its AAA+ almost 15 months before the release date they had started marketing campaigns.

Flaws:

1. This version of far cry also offers more of "stealth game-play" also i.e. silently killing the enemies by going close enough and killing them using knife etc. and remain undetected. It's fun killing few enemies performing stealth but later it's not that fun in First Person compared to a 3rd person Game. And it's really frustrating when in a mission it is compulsory to perform only stealth killing in a so called open world game.

2. The "saving system" is not good. It auto saves only at checkpoints and overwrites the previous saved game. No Manual saves for Pc also! No quick saves, there is no chance for experimentation, if died during half way of mission we have to start way back from start of checkpoints. Waste of time playing the same mission again and again if we have traveled some 1000m away from the last checkpoint while wandering the island and die.

3. The "health system"- we need plants to maintain the health. The health bar seems useless specially while hunting. With just 2 or 3 bites by the animal we die.

4. "Console port to PC": those who play on pc with mouse can definitely tell it's a console port to pc by the movement of player while running, driving a car or boat and while aiming. This makes the game less fun on PC version.

5. The "side missions" are repetitive and some are really boring. Like saving people with medic kit driving in time, killing streak, radio towers & Hunting. It seems more like a RPG game rather than FPS. Go wandering island hunting, collecting plants and winning over camps etc. It's an open world game but it's broken into segments i.e. one of the missions has to be completed within time limit, no wander beyond mission area…No free choices to the player.

6. The "crafting and inventory" is tedious and irritating. Every now and then we have to pause the game to craft things such as medicine, wallets. There is lot of trouble in selling the loot.
For the first few hours unable to figure out how to open the slots for weapons with confusing or too much of HUD and messages on the screen.

7. The "button sequences" press different keys at the exact moment is stupid plus dumb game-play.

So the rich kid who parties, chills out with friends, dopes, wants to get wasted etc. suddenly acquires knowledge and becomes so intelligent in an instant; killing the enemies using stealth is weird. That type of kids can't even spell stealth or don't even know what stealth is. I mean to say character's background is also important which defines his qualities. There is a big difference in playing as Batman vs. a rich kid with stealth.

I would like to give credit to the marketing dept more than the develop dept because of them only the game is a big hit and also explains how Far Cry 3 managed to get 9/10 in most of its reviews on release.

Yes, this game is an insult to the Super cars & classic hot pursuit

If you are looking for some good points then you're at the wrong place, the only good thing about this game is GRAPHICS. That's it! And stop reading further if you searching for positive aspects about the game.

cons

-when we get a Porsche to drive when i start career in MW
-Why search for a car & not buy them at garage
-why can't we select my choice of color for the car
-why the super cars have such marvelous unresponsive controls
-who are the most wanted drivers & not the car names in the list
- have to remember a list of 40+ cars
-nitrous has to be unlocked for every car
- crash every 5 seconds while racing & forced to see the stupid cut scenes

The easy drive interface is bad and difficult to understand at first instance!
The HUD is not good; tachometer is on the car itself on right side. The camera shakes a lot during bumps unnecessarily during driving.

From where did TAKEDOWNS come into picture in NFS series??? You get that by slightest touch to opponent car.
For pursuits when you get busted nothing happens!! No arrest cam, No fine nor car gets confiscated by the police, just restart the pursuit and play lol Where is the fun if you don't lose anything when busted by cops

You don't earn any money in this game but some unknown XP which gets added in single player career.

Firstly besides rating let me tell you I'm a huge Spiderman fan also!!

HIGHLY Recommend that you BUY!! This game because Developers have put lot of hard work in this. You will enjoy it but my rating won't change (no offense).

Game spot is quite intelligent what to review & which game not to review, it has been a month after release & still they haven't reviewed this game for PC version. If game spot gave only 9.0 to Batman AA; I wonder what would they rate TASM because it's almost a Xerox copy of Batman AA.

Pros:

The graphics for PC are fantastic even the models Spiderman, rhino, scorpion touch reality but the game is almost unplayable on PC so what's the use of great graphics.

Story telling is excellent.

Stealth Take downs

The phone has map petty crime, car chase, infected civilian, hunter, extreme reporter, main objective, photo articles, tech upgrades, skills upgrade.

Cons:

The game says it's an open world game but it's not because you have to spend most of the time indoors.

The controls really suck. Or the game doesn't have any controls beyond a button [E] pressing n times. The uncontrollable camera results into almost unplayable game.

The web swinging in the open world seems exciting for just few minutes. As soon as you come to know you cannot die while swinging from building to building fun vanishes & it quite seems boring swinging just to reach the given destination. No danger = no fun. What's the thrill of swinging up high in the sky if you don't die?

The game does not give freedom to the player to think on how to take on the enemies or it does not give freedom to implement the various strategies on how to play the game. Restricted movements and Restrictions on choices to the player where he himself can figure out the solution for the problem so this game tends to be more on the tutorial side rather than being a game!!

No aiming support for PC. Many at times Auto aim is useless. Sometimes you have one thing in mind and unfortunately other command is executed while playing, this should not happen in a game. These things only happen when you have only one [E] button to execute different type of commands (actions) and uncontrollable camera adds the worse.

Syndicate is a high tech first person shooter (Single player campaign). All the people are installed with Dart chip in their heads or you can say they are programmed for what tasks each one has to perform. It is 2069 New York.

You play as Kilo; mute soldier, going against his own company Euro corp. He has been installed with a chip so we can see an advanced HUD on the screen.

The game-play is somewhat different. You can hack systems, robots and kill enemies via wireless transmission using DART overlay chip which is displayed on the screen. There are three special skills suicide, backfire, persuade which you can operate easily using a button on the enemies in combat.

The guns feel nice (solid) while shooting, the impact of fast paced shooter easily experienced. Many guns have two modes of shooting one normal and second as sniper or any other. You get upgrade points when you extract chip from the head of the target. There are different kinds of enemies some are normal, immune: so first hack them, and then shoot them otherwise their health wont decrease. Third are with mini, electric gun and the invisible ones.

The boss fights are hard on normal mode. You cannot use the special skills during boss fights, only dart overlay ability. To defeat bosses you may require many rounds of bullets with precise aiming.

The mouse controls are really smooth in this game. Only one button i.e. 'F' is used for many actions suggests that it is a console port.

The graphics for PC are sharp & colorful. You will get a good frame rate if you have a good configuration.
The only fault in graphics is the bloom effect. The eyes really pain if we play more than an hour continuously on pc. The motion blur effect can be turned off by tweaking the config file. By this at least you can complete the game and have fun.

Environment … 8.5 (unreal 3 technology, crisp & scenery of Dubai)

Story … 10 (mind blowing endings for the story 5-6 endings based on your decision)

Animation - 7 (Sandstorms etc.)

Game-play - 4 (nothing new same cover & shoot, copied)

Controls … 6 (controls won't response immediately sometimes)

Value - 6

Fun - 6

There are instances where you cannot see enemies at all from which direction they are shooting you. They appear very small while combat. Sometimes you cannot differentiate between teammates & enemies while fighting.

Controls are not responsive while taking covers, sometimes the character runs instead of taking covers. While sprinting & firing the camera shakes a lot. I don't think so you can fire while running in this game. The cross-hairs aren't stable while firing.

So the solid story encourages the player to play the game & finish the game. But only the story won't help!

Nice efforts taken by the developers on 3rd person shooter but lacks in some areas because of which it fails to cross the Lines.

Pure has exotic locations & racing on ATV only with amazing stunts. There are 15-20 tracks on which you can race. There are three types of game-play Race (3-laps), Sprint (5-laps), freestyle (stunts). Unique Special Stunts of 6 racers are motion captured & can be performed comfortably.

Game-play: 9
Animation (stunts): 10
Graphics (overall): 10
Fun: 9
Sound: 10
Value: 9
Controls (keyboard): 8
Single player: Stages (tournaments)

Specialty:

The stunts performed by the racers are perfect. The big jumps performed during the race. Freestyle mode is the best in all. Build your own ATV's using 24 parts from engine selection to grip of your ATV.

Simple:

At first you can perform only basic tricks. When the boost fills to sufficient level you are allowed to do intermediate, professional and last Special tricks. As you win races you unlock the next stages of tournaments and gain Rank.

Complicated:

At the start you are given task to complete the lap then preloading and so on. In my case I didn't understand how to perform intermediate & professional stunts for at least 3-4days neither the tutorials in the game help.
After struggling few more days I figured out that you should not use boost while jumping instead use preloading button. My highest score was 62,000 in freestyle till now but still I can't figure out how to perform 360 degree rotation while in the air.

The game is difficult via keyboard. You have to take care of almost 17 keys at a time if you want to perform different stunts & get maximum points. It is not easy on keyboard it takes time to master.
How 17?? (3 for tricks, 4 for tweak special preloading boost) (4-directions of vehicle) (6-numpad for player while in the air)

So Pure is a fun racing game with Pure stunts which are difficult to get.

Prototype 2 is developed by radical entertainment. In spite of some hiccups radical really did a good job which was assigned to them by Activision the project called Prototype 2.I will also tell the reason later that why I deducted a half a point from my review.

Graphics:

The graphics are gorgeous, the detailed character modeling, the environment (the city), weather conditions, combat animations They are treat for the eyes while you play the game. If you have good pc configuration then the game work smooth. There can be a problem of low frame rate sometimes.

Heller:

At first I didn't like him at all i.e. I didn't understand that why am supposed to be playing as Heller & not Alex Mercer. But later I became a fan of Heller the way he speaks, his build (Muscles, Solid Look), The Powers he got, and the destruction he can make. He might be the reason why one completes the game as fast as he can. Heller can fly, climb skyscrapers; destroy helicopters, tanks, hydra, Goliath, the other prototypes (the evolved doctors).
The best part is when you fly as Heller at a great height & when you land with a massive force Heller almost crushes the surface beneath him, this shows how strong Heller is & that feels Awesome!! Yes Heller is the Man of Steel.

Cut scenes:

They are in Black & White and some Red color is used for impact. The videos are nice & short and you will enjoy cut scenes of this game. They are to the point. The chemistry between Ms. Galloway (sexy) & Heller is kind of fun to watch.

Game-play:

Combination of keyboard and mouse is perfect for destruction. The city is divided into three zones red yellow and green. Heller gets upgraded as we complete the missions. Heller has claws, blades, hammer-fists, bio-bomb and whip-fist. You can create chaos around the city. You can throw cars, trucks. You truly get satisfied after you kill monsters like Goliath.
The game has lots of action in it; you will not get bored any minute after you start the story mode. Killing and consuming people using Stealth system is enjoyable.

Disappointment: (why I deducted)

The ending. I was somewhat disappointed at the end because the Boss is none other than our Hero (Alex). How can one imagine a Hero in a negative role? The boss fight was worth Alex using his powers against us but it would have been better if Heller & Alex unite together to fight the real Infected Boss.

The other reason is 'Hunting' introduced in the game. Yes the human Sonar. It is quite frustrating while finding the target but if one masters it you won't have problem later on in the story. The last is the controls are not that responsive at the Boss fights e.g. first fight against hydra.

To conclude Prototype 2 is an amazing game and way too superior in the fun department than other games.

Fri, 27 Jul 2012 01:13:09 -0700 007kt reviewed Fuel for the PC... http://www.gamespot.com/fuel-2009/user-reviews/797849/platform/pc/ ...and gave it a 5.5.

Fuel is an open world racing game which has a lot of space to drive & wander over 5000 miles. The review is for via keyboard controls only.

Menu:

The main menu is weird. At first I couldn't find options tab to customize the controls. We can access directly to challenges & career races or go for free ride.

Environment:

It is one of the best I have seen. From day to night transformation it really looks beautiful while riding. The developers have certainly achieved their task on how a post-apocalyptic environment looks like. The big map is divided into camps. There are around 20 camps & each camp has career races & challenges to be completed. The camps are unlocked by earning stars via winning career races.
Winning challenges one gains fuel that is used to buy new vehicles. The graphics are nice 10/10 on normal settings also. Sunrise, sunsets, sandstorms, Thunderstorms & scenery are the best feature in the game.

Free Ride:

One can explore the map however & whenever he wants to. Free riding is kind of fun but for how long???
There is nothing as such special to explore the map by free riding. You will only come across trees, burning trees, grass, bushes and rocks in the map. Ride 10min to 15min just to get liveries & view vista points?? Later on exploration of nothing gets boring.

Controls:

The controls are OK for some vehicles but as the speed or acceleration of the vehicles increase as you proceed through the career the controls change from OK--->Bad. The vehicles struggle to stay on the racing track. The real problem is to control the vehicles at tight corners while climbing cliffs or coming down the cliffs or in short lap races.
Many times in checkpoint races or long lap races I missed going through the checkpoints due to bad controls & that's really frustrating because on mistake costs you the race and your important 5min of your life goes to waste just because of one mistake.

Vehicles:

We have both cars, bikes, trucks & bugys to ride on. Engine sounds good. The only problem seems to be that engine fuel injections are locked i.e. speed limit for a respective vehicle. You will feel that the vehicle is slow w.r.t to speed shown in the speedometer.
There will be situations where you're in the 1st place & you can't drive at your best speed since you have already reached the maximum speed for that vehicle. So it feels dull to drive where you can't throttle at maximum level. There is no boost while driving. Vehicles get stuck in bushes or wooden logs. Sometimes rocks also decelerate your vehicle.

Races:

There are checkpoint races, lap races, blitz, chasing the chopper etc. Some races are good you can win them at first attempt but some are really annoying. You have to try again & again. In every race should finish only 1st. That is harsh because you don't get anything even if place 2nd or 3rd, no achievement, no award, no fuel except a taunt "TRY HARDER OR FAIL FOREVER". It increases your frustrating xp level. Cheating is the only key to win races. Some races are quite long i.e. approx. 25-30min long & boring.
There is no point of having other drivers in the race since you always have to finish 1st so you have to play each race as 1v1 with the driver who is at the 2nd place if somehow you are able to find a way to get to the top of the list. If you use the reset button by any chance you will certainly go down by 3 to 4 positions.

AI:

Sometimes AI remains behind 200+M or doesn't even try to win the win the race. In some races you won't able to catch up -20M to AI try whatsoever. In many races AI cheats. Sometimes AI will overtake you at the last corner or the last checkpoint of the race that means 2nd position that will annoy you because you can do nothing but see the AI overtaking you easily.

So the game could have been a lot better. The game physics are not that good if you compare it with graphics of the game. You can enjoy this game but it surely Fuel fails to deliver as a good racing game.

Tue, 24 Jul 2012 02:46:40 -0700 007kt reviewed Split/Second for the PC... http://www.gamespot.com/split-second/user-reviews/797736/platform/pc/ ...and gave it a 6.0.

The game has too much to show but it's meaningless due to lack in basics. The game looks very attractive at first but later on you get bore.

Attraction:

Explosions, big explosions, Destruction's, power-play, air strike, survival, race. 5-6 challenges to complete in each episode.

Cars:

They look like toy cars. They are characterized by acceleration, drift etc. but you can only see that difference via its handling (controlling), speed is unknown.

Menu:

Not good. There is no need of animation in the backgrounds or on the Tabs.

HUD:

No speedometer!! I don't know at what speed am I driving & it come under racing genre. Display of position, lap & power at the back of the car.

Camera:

The view from behind the car while racing is at very low height. The ground clearance of camera is almost zero so the player can get a nice view of explosions, destruction's but it doesn't help while racing.

Game-play:

You earn power by drift draft. Use of power-play at fixed places only. 2 types of power-play level 1 & level 2. Most of the times you have to use only level 1 power-play .Control of the cars are bad. You mostly crash in the race at the corners & get wrecked if you're at 1st position. There is no way that you can maintain the lead. The car crashes when you try to dodge missiles in air strike & detonator. It is very difficult to destroy the helicopter in air revenge & get 4th or 5th place only. You just need to press two buttons (power-play) to win the race. The power-play can only be used for the cars that are in the lead.

In spite of such great animations of Massive destruction's & explosion you will not experience fun while racing. Graphics are just OK but the main issue is of low frame rate. So a good concept but some of them look really great on paper only & not after being implemented.

Fri, 20 Jul 2012 10:37:09 -0700 007kt reviewed Blur for the PC... http://www.gamespot.com/blur/user-reviews/797562/platform/pc/ ...and gave it a 7.0.

Blur is designed in such a way that it is addictive only for couple of hours & suddenly you will totally dislike the game saying do I have to do the same homework again& again!!

Graphics: Nice & clean.

Fun: Only Multi-player

Cars:

Cars are classified in ABCD CLASS. Each car is characterized by Acceleration, Speed, Grip and Difficulty Health. There is no big difference on what basis one chooses car to race. I used only one car as such for completion of events in a class.

Game:

There are 9 bosses in single player. Race, Destruction, Checkpoint, 1v1 are the types included. There are more than 15 tracks to race on. There are eight weapons present in every race. For checkpoint only nitro boost & for destruction bolt hit power up are available. There are no accidents shown in the race, the car resets automatically. There is no damage detected between 2 cars while racing.

Game-play:

This is the part where it gets boring after some time. Respective Boss is present in every race before you go 1v1 with him. If he's present in each race there is no point in racing 1v1 with later on because you already beat him more than one time. Fan run present in the race is basically race ruin run. It acts a distraction in the race. There are fan demands also in each race but if you're at 1st position in the race fan demand always fails because no opponent is present near you to fulfill the fan's demand.
The game does not require any brakes. You just have to accelerate & turn. Some of the tracks width is of playground size. No driving skills required to win the race, just swallow as many power ups & use them.

Power ups:

Power ups are present at fixed positions on each track so one can easily memorize where & which power up is present on the respective track. That makes the racing repetitive or boring. The strategies applied by most of the players are placing mines where the power ups are positioned so that the other won't be able to pick it up. The other strategy is picking only nitro boost power up to gain speed.

Concluding the review blur is a good concept for an action racing genre but shallow implementation makes blur only a good racing game & not a great game.

Fri, 20 Jul 2012 01:07:48 -0700 007kt reviewed Ridge Racer Unbounded for the PC... http://www.gamespot.com/ridge-racer-unbounded/user-reviews/797545/platform/pc/ ...and gave it a 3.0.

This review is for PC single player with Keyboard only.

Good:

Graphics
Car models
Environment (shatter city)
Track Editor

Bad:

Controls of the car.
No customization of controls
AI which doesn't allow you to win at all.

Worse:

Drifting of car in the game
No choice of difficulty (only hardcore mode)
Destruction of environment (in the tracks)
Too fast & blurry, always end up with crash or frag

Drifting:

Drifting in this game=lose control of the car at the corners. I didn't understand how the hell it gets blurry when I drift at the turnings. Via keyboard the car almost takes a 360degree turn at the corners.

Destruction of environment:

If you're a traditional racer you will always stick to the road. In this game you can destroy environment while racing. The problem in this is you do not know what things can be destroyed while racing. Some have tags such as oil truck & walls but when you try to destroy them you crash! So the moment you think that you can destroy that object you crash! So there is no sign given to the racer which objects are destructible & non destructible. I am not the game designer for the tracks or game already to know where the shortcuts & destructible objects present in the game are.

Difficulty:

Too hard & no choice to change the difficulty (career mode). There are time attack races further with crap controls, how is it possible to win the race when the given car has no power, speed to win the racer at 1st position. After playing this you will realize that other games such as Blur, nfs and Dirt & Grid are much better because they at least allow gamers to complete the game (career mode).

Blur(screen):

The game has too much of blur the boost colors, the speed of the car. Sometimes you fail to recognize whether it's a right or left turn ahead.

I doubt this game is tested on PC with keyboard controls because no customization. I think racing genre for PC (Keyboard) died ten years back. I also doubt that today games are tested for consoles & are released for PC (GAME-PADS) & not for keyboard controls.

So to conclude assume that your married to a Beautiful Girl but as time goes by you get to know about her, slowly slowly you start to realize that she's a hardcore slut & when you realize that there is no need for her to stay anymore & you want to throw her out of your life! The same situation arises when you deal with ridge racer unbounded.

Mon, 02 Jul 2012 05:26:36 -0700 007kt reviewed Max Payne 3 for the PC... http://www.gamespot.com/max-payne-3/user-reviews/796762/platform/pc/ ...and gave it a 6.0.

Max Payne's third installment is developed by Rockstar & not Remedy so one should be ready to adapt to the changes that have been done to the game. The review is for only single player.

For playing this game gamers should have more than 25gb space with high end specification PC.I have a decent configuration i5 processor & 1gb graphics still I had to lower down resolution to get better fps & was not able to enjoy the game graphics to the fullest.

I am a Max Payne fan that means I have already played 1&2, I had expectations from the third installment but they went up in smoke as I started playing the game.

Character:

Max Payne is a clumsy character. During fights he runs slowly like a snail. He is so fat that until he picks up the guns laying on the floor somebody kills him. Max is shown dumb in this version. He is not at all intelligent as the story progresses .He tries to figure out things what has happened in the past & how he ended up in Brazil.

They have tried their best to fill in emotions in Max Payne but its hardly recognized compared to 1&2.Max Payne in 1&2 was full with emotions (love+Pain+anger+curious) trying to figure out the truth & to get revenge.

Story:

The game has average story, no mystery as such. The main objective of Max Payne is to save a girl & protect her by the way the girl is pregnant poor girl! In Action. The story almost revolves around the rich lords in Brazil & not on Max Payne. In 1&2 the story was all about Max MAX & Max Payne!! fighting his blood-soaked battle.

Cut scenes:

From a Max Payne game I was expecting cut scenes in comic-book-style & not videos. Too many cut scenes in the game & they are boring. Apart from dialogues many of them are opening doors, gates getting cover before game-play starts. Unnecessary blurring & lighting in the cut scenes which causes headaches.

Game-play:

At first look, it looks exciting but after 20-25min it seems boring.

Cover System:

Why introduce cover system in Max Payne? The game lost its originality by introducing cover system. This game-play is already practiced in many games released in the past. Cover system makes the game a normal shooter (i.e. at every level you do is cover+fire).

Bullet time:

It's not that effective, Max gets hit many times in bullet time mode.Only good for aiming.

Weapons:

Reloading of weapons is frustrating & slow, Max does that every six seconds. The AI takes approx. 15-20 bullets to die. If bullets gets over there is no auto-switching of weapon by the time you switch the weapon manually you die. Only one gun in the game was good with 100 bullets round but after some levels Max switch backs to Pistol & our super machine guns vanish.

Sound:

Really miss the old sad theme of Max Payne. They haven't much used it in the game.

Aim:

The small reticule disappears often in the background. The aiming system has some shortcomings, you often die when enemies cover a 270 degrees angel [FOV] & attack at the same time.

Funny Action Scenes:

Poor Max Payne had to perform many Hollywood action stunts, shooting from Helicopter, Boat, Bus & train covering all types of transport besides those shooting incoming Missiles, grenades in slow motion. Lastly destroying an Aeroplane in the last chapter.

So to conclude there is no originality in game except for the name (title) Max Payne. Game-play of 1&2 was completely different from this version & not taking covers behind pillars desks etc. The game may top sales in Business but as a game it's just a mediocre shooting game, nothing special. This is a best example, what exactly happens when the owner of the magic lamp changes.

The game is far more imbalanced Attack>>>Defense

The good points:

Player skills:
Many choices, plenty of skills can be performed during match.

Graphics:
Seems best for a sport game

Licensing:
Licensed teams, players

Defense:
Introducing contain (pressurizing) the opposing team

The bad points:

Imbalanced Game-play: Attack>>>Defense
Far more importance has given to the attack than defense. The game-play is mainly concentrated on attack skills, no defense skills in fifa 12.

Sliding tackles:
They are useless. Sliding tackles are ineffective to such extent that it doesn't even trip the player while tackling. There is a big problem with normal tackling also; the referee gives fouls on that also. The most frustrating scenario is near the goal when the referee gives penalty every time for normal tackles also. There is a big question on how to stop the opposing team from scoring the goal.
Sliding tackles are a part of skills in defending. Teams like SPAIN use it more; they win more matches on defending & not attacking.

Skills:
EA has made every player in fifa12 like Ronaldo or Messi. The AI while attacking a single player dribbles the ball dodging 4-5 defenders every time, how is that possible??

Goalkeeper:
EA has made him the SUPERMAN in 12thversion. The goalkeeper literally fly's from one corner to the other; blocks all shots whether you shoot with maximum power or not. It is very difficult to score 1on1 situation with the goalkeeper.

AI defenders:
They act as dumb as possible in the match. They create gap for the opposing team in spite of using the contain strategy.

Referee:
Wrong off-sides, wrong tackling decisions.

AI attack:
AI scores every time when shots on target. With teams like AC Milan or Man Utd AI only scores goals attacking from the corners & scoring goals via volley (headers). It is scripted.

Player Impact Engine:
Fails completely. Players from the same team collide with each other often in the match & fall giving away the ball to the opposite team.

So FIFA 12 is broken; an unfinished product delivered to gamers, much worse from its predecessors & does not have any WOW moments in the game.

Tue, 27 Mar 2012 04:30:25 -0700 007kt reviewed Batman: Arkham City for the PC... http://www.gamespot.com/batman-arkham-city/user-reviews/790863/platform/pc/ ...and gave it a 10.0!!!

Gamers were enthusiastically waiting for the second present from Rocksteady Studios & you know what! After opening the present they will definitely feel that it is bigger better & full of surprises.

Environment:

The city looks gorgeous and dark, filled with dangerous criminals. They did an excellent job at Graphics & the environment is absorbing. Big map, lots of space to wander. It sets as one of the best examples for world building & asset management. It gives an immense pleasure to grapnel around and glide over the rooftops towards your destination marked.

Character Models:

Fantastic 3d character modeling such as Batman, Catwomen, The Two face, Ivy, Robin, Joker, Mr. Freeze etc. Perfect Animation given to the characters. Catwomen appears to be one of the sexiest characters designed for a game. The takedowns seem to touch the reality. The bosses and the characters are versatile & you are forced to get involved in their personalities.

Game-play:

Combat is simple but grows on you. New weapons are introduced in second edition that makes the game more fun & exciting. There are lots of upgrades available during gameplay. Each character has different weapons, combos & special skills i.e. batman, catwomen, nightwing, Robin.AI is pretty tough & active. Enemies get cautioned if we kill or takedown one of the guys from the group & they search you to take you down. In one of the levels i.e. fight with Joker (with hammer man) if the player doesn't have cluster Bomb it is difficult to complete that level. Joker fights like Superman along with his boys to kill you.

Story:

Story is captivating & you urge yourself to finish the game as early as possible. Arkham City has one of the most shocking ending to a game ever. Great voice acting by Kevin Conroy, Troy Baker, Mark Hamill, Grey Delisle, Tara Strong, Nolan North, Wally Wingert & Maurice LaMarche etc. Great dialogues written by the writer Joker saying "You're making me late for my spa treatment!" "Get out of the way, Bats! I've got a date with immortality!" Two face saying "Looks like your luck's run out Batman". Black Mask saying "First you fall then Gotham". Mad Hatter saying "When you wake up you will be mine" & last "Death is Cold Batman".

This comes to conclusion that Batman is the best Super Hero of all time even though he doesn't have any Super Natural Powers & will attract more people to become his fan. If you are a Hardcore Gamer you should absolutely play this game before you die.

The game review is for pc only & for keyboard controls (single player)
The story takes off pretty good but it slags later on. New concept not implemented or executed properly.
The graphics are neat & tidy. The cut scenes are pretty good quality. Different gameplay is the strength or USP of the game. The shift from one car to another easily excites the gamer & urges him to play the game. There are other activities besides main story based missions.
But the excitement of changing i.e. shifting from one car to another sometimes irritates because one cannot enjoy a race, it gives a pause in gameplay while racing. While racing at least this option should had been turned off for better gameplay.
I didn't finish the game or I can say it was impossible for me to finish the game. The game has unbalanced levels which are difficult to complete. I was playing via keyboard. I don't know if somebody have experienced it but Driver- San has pathetic keyboard controls. One cannot control the car during tight turns. A slight tapping of right or left button makes the car spin around with no control whatsoever.
The most frustrating activities are, time based activities, and due to bad controls one cannot reach the finish line within time. Within which is hitting the billboards+ time limit ,It's a big question how one would complete that kind of mission with great speed & with such type of car handling with a cherry on top i.e. City Traffic.

Thu, 15 Dec 2011 23:58:46 -0800 007kt reviewed Need for Speed: The Run for the Xbox 360... http://www.gamespot.com/need-for-speed-the-run/user-reviews/783379/platform/xbox360/ ...and gave it a 7.5.

Every year EA releases Need for Speed franchise racing game but since two or three years I feel like playing burnout racing game rather than a NFS racing game! Has EA lost their confidence in making a Good NFS racing game & going for copy paste from Burnout series? I will start the review with good points of game & so on….
Good:
The Run concept a new concept implemented, broken into stages. The game involves gaining positions during the race, make up time race (beat the time), challenge the opponent min 3 at a time & 1v1.
Run down the hill was the best race in the game where avalanche occurs during the race.
The Run, I would say was a good marketing strategy creating excitement for gamers. Reset introduced.

Bad:
Here we go.. Graphics nope I thought playing another version of burnout series.
Car rendering same as hot pursuit no difference at all. The game is very short.
No free roam, no customization.

Worse:
Controls no no …….…bad!!
Can drive only few cars in The Run campaign (I used only about 5)
Reset .. Every time car goes off the road it resets automatically, do racers drive in that discipline??(Almost 90 resets)
Graphics too much detailed that nothing seems good besides our car while racing. The opponent cars are not even visible some times.
Can't change the car after the race!!! Or in garage.

Funny:
The cut scenes, why don't they just show them?? Why do we have to press some buttons for such stupid actions like for getting out of the car & for running lol.
The AI is terrible. The opponent waits for me if I have messed up in the race & lets me win the race. They just move in a straight line…no overtake no dirty passing nothing numm AI.
The car speed ROFL!! Very slow the speedometer shows 100km/hr but car moves like 10km/hr. I suppose NFS is known for its speed.
Cops they align themselves before us along the road. The cops chasing us do nothing but racing with us.
The camera angles are same as in hot pursuit 2010 & burnout series. Even the 1st screen that appears on starting the game is same as in hot pursuit with same music. Same wrecked cut scenes.
Can change the car only during the race at gas station seriously??? IN the Race?? That too, available only in few races.
The tasks such as avoid gunfire from helicopter & from other cars & cut scenes where there are blasts & accidents feels like a Hollywood chasing scene rather than a game.

So EA has focused on other things rather than game physics for the Run.
