Left 4 Dead 2

Pros-

#1.The Charger,Spitter and Jockey

#2.Uncommon common infected such as the Clown Infected,Infected CEDA Worker,Fallen Survivor,Mud Men,Worker Infected,Riot Infected and rarely seen Jimmy Gibbs Junior infected add to the variety of infected/zombies

#3.Much more weapons variety for the humans compared to L4D.There is also the defibrillator which brings to life the dead humans

#4.The special infected/zombie characters you can play as compared to L4D is much more evenly switched after you die. When I was playing L4D I was the hunter many times in a row on a regular basis.I found that to be really annoying but that problem is completely fixed in L4D 2

#5.You no longer are force spawned on the final maps where the humans escape.I hated that about L4D because the humans could hear you and you weren't in the position you wanted most of the time.Fixing this is a huge improvement

#6.The maps all look different which add to the variety

#7.Realism mode and Scavenge mode add to the variety of the game modes

Cons-

#1.Forcing us to switch sides

My biggest problem with this game is that in multiplayer you are forced to switch from infected/zombie to human after each round or most of them.I realize that many people enjoy playing as both sides but I don't enjoy playing as the humans

Give the server host/lobby leader the option to make their server so you never switch sides. At the very least the developers should make a versus game mode where you can remain human or infected/zombie permanently.I would love a server that I could be infected/zombies every time and never have to play as the humans

#2.No spectators

They don't even allow us to become a spectator

We should at the very least be allowed to become a spectator on the server. It seems every L4D 2 server only allows 8 people and no spectator mode.If they at least gave the option for more player slots in some servers then this would easily fix the problem. If there was for example 10 player slots on some servers then I could just spectate until I could join the infected/zombies

#3.Forcing us to switch special infected/zombie characters after we die

I think that there should be a game mode or server host/lobby leader option that allows us to pick one character for the entire round.I think that most people could really improve their skills if they were the same special infected/zombie character for an entire round

If all 4 pick the same character then that would be really interesting.4 chargers or 4 boomers attacking the humans at once would definitely add variety to the game

I do NOT want every server to be this way.I just think it would be a cool game mode to try

#4.The graphics don't look noticeably improved to me compared to L4D

The Bottom Line -

L4D 2 is a fun game but it lacks the options in it's multiplayer for me to call it a great game.I do think it is better then L4D and I recommend that everyone should buy it.I just hope L4D 3 uses my ideas because I really think some people would like them

Call of Duty 2

Pros-

#1.Long campaign

#2.Several weapons

#3.Solid multiplayer

#4.Graphics are still decent

#5.I like the weather changes

Cons-

#1.The gameplay is unrealistic in some situations

* There is spawning of Germans in areas you have already cleared that seem to appear out of nowhere

* There is infinite spawning of Germans in some areas until you complete an objective. In one part I was to destroy a tank but instead I just killed all the German ground soldiers.2 German soldiers would spawn and jump over a wall near the tank and I killed 6 sets of them before I realized it would never end until I took out the tank

*Crossing an imaginary line will trigger scripted German attacks but it doesn't feel realistic in most of them

*When you get shot and are badly hurt all you need to do is find a safe place and wait a few seconds and you are good as new

*You can't use a knife which I know soldiers in WW2 used to kill

*The Russians don't speak Russian

#2.Many multiplayer maps have very uneven spawn locations and are not fair by any means for capture the flag. The allies have such an advantage that it takes some of the fun away

The Bottom Line -

Call of Duty 2 is solid and is definitely good enough to buy if you like WW2 and shooters. It just isn't realistic to me for the reasons I said.I did enjoy it anyway and I'm glad I bought it

I do suggest you buy this game but do not buy it by itself. You should only buy it in a pack of call of duty games.$29.99 is the current steam price for Call of Duty®: War Chest and you should really enjoy that bundle of games

Civilization IV : Beyond the Sword

Pros-

#1.Many civilizations to choose from

#2.Good graphics

#3.Good music and voice acting

#4.Many difficulty levels

#5.Many religions in the game

Religion does effect how some people treat each other. This is very realistic

#6.Multiple ways to win the game

#7.Custom games

I like that I can turn off barbarian and animal attacks.I know having them are realistic but I prefer to take them out.I also change other things and I like the freedom. If I could not make my own custom game then I would of rated this a 5 or 6

#8.Cool animations after you build most wonders

#9.Random events add more of a challenge

#10.Conquering a civilization that has been pissing you off is fun

#11.Cool mods to check out

Cons-

#1.Building units or buildings without my permission

Sometimes some of my cities would start building a unit or building without getting my permission.I know I didn't choose it.I get suggestions that I should build some things.Sometimes it just builds them without suggesting or asking me.There might be a way to turn this off as I have not looked.Even if it can't be turned off my complaint is minor

#2.Unrealistic combat in some situations

Could a tank ever be killed by some of the units in the game?Even if a tank ran out of ammo and fuel then only way some units could kill the men inside of it would be to wait for them to exit the tank. There was certain battle winners that seemed really unrealistic.Overall the combat odds of winning a battle seemed realistic enough but I hope it is improved in Civilization V

#3.Not being able to see the cities the way Total War allows you to

Compared to Total War in which you can see your city up close,Civ needs some major improvement

#4.Not upgrading the battles the way Total War has

The up close combat in Total War is far from perfect. The AI can be stupid and unrealistic but the up close combat battles are an option that Civ needs in my opinion

#5.Not enough religions and lack of religious options

I think more religions should be added.I also think being able to choose atheist, theist and agnostic should also be added

The Bottom Line -

Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword has plenty to offer strategy fans.I have spent countless hours playing it and I can make custom games very different from each other.I would say it is the best Civilization game I have ever played

I do think it needs even more options for custom games though. It just doesn't have enough options for me

I do recommend that all strategy fans buy this but I didn't find it to be amazing or revolutionary. It is just a good turn based strategy game that can give you hours of fun

Major League Baseball 2K10

Pros-

#1.Decent graphics but not amazing

Cons-

#1.The fielding in the game is terrible

On the computer team they are great but on mine they start and stop and miss easy ground balls they should get or at least try for. When I push the buttons then they will dive at them but it feels unnatural

Once they pick up the ground ball they will throw it to the wrong person or take their sweet ass time throwing it to the right one.

I could find no option in the game anywhere for the computer to control my fielders. If it could then I would up my score to 5

#2.The settings were a pain for me to figure out

I think they should of had more detail about what each one did.I tried to make all these custom adjustments but it was not obvious if they were helping me or hurting me when I was reading about them

The Bottom Line -

Do not buy this game it is not worth it

I own all the Stronghold games and Stronghold: Crusader is by far the best one.

Stronghold: Crusader

Pros-

#1.Many enemies with completely different styles of castle building and units used. Some are really easy and others can be quite hard

#2.Building your own custom castle with many options to choose from. You can have a moat and a draw bridge

#3.You can throw boiling oil on enemies

#4.Some levels are quite hard and are a definite challenge but others are quite easy so there is good variety

#5.The game will say your name when you start it

#6.A large variety of units to choose from to fight for you

#7.Using siege weapons is cool and one of them will light the buildings inside of the enemies castle on fire

#8.Creating or buying food, weapons and beer are just as important as your combat strategy in the harder levels

#9.Multiplayer games against friends are really fun

#10.Making your people fear you will increase production and you do this by building gibbets, gallows, stockades, chopping blocks, stretching racks, dungeons, cesspits, and dunking stools

#11.Making your people love you will increase happiness and you do this by building gardens, statues, dancing bears, and maypoles

#12.I think the sound effects and music are good

#13.There is several voice taunts in the game and they are funny to use in multiplayer

Cons

#1.Each lord looks the same and fights the same in the game. Each Arabian lord/sultan looks the same and fights the same in the game.I think the creators should of given every enemy lord their own character design and given the player more options then just the two we have

#2.There is no story. The original Stronghold was much better when it comes to the story

#3.Real time strategy should not of been the only option. In some situations I have to wait ten minutes or more before I get enough goods to sell and build my army.I already have my defense set up and I don't need to watch it.If I could increase the speed of the game then it would of been an improvement and saved me time where I can't do anything but wait

#4.The graphics look old but they don't bother me but they are a con of the game

#5.The game is unrealistic in the sense of being able to slowly destroy a stone wall with just a sword or the other melee weapons your soldiers carry.I could just see myself with just a sword try to destroy a real castle wall.lol

The Bottom Line -

Stronghold: Crusader is a must buy.Building your own custom castle and defending it is really fun

The Stronghold Collection on steam is $29.99 as of today and is easily worth that.I also suggest you try Stronghold 1 for the story and Stronghold Legends.I don't think either are as good as crusader though but all 3 games come together so it's still a great deal

I think Stronghold Crusader Extreme and Stronghold 2 both suck so avoid them. You do have to install Stronghold Crusader and Stronghold Crusader Extreme together on steam but just avoid playing extreme

Do yourself a favor and buy Stronghold: Crusader and you will thank me later

My 2 cents

I have never played Dirt 1.

Dirt 2

Pros-

#1.Good graphics

#2.Many cars to choose from

#3.Good audio,it sounds realistic to me

#4.They will call you by the name you choose

#5.Multiplayer

#6.Flashback

#7.Replays of the race

#8.Multiple camera angles

#9.Some cool maps

#10.Crashing the car on purpose is fun and cool when you aren't racing

#11.Changing the color/liveries of your car

#12.Custom dashboard toys

#13.Custom horns/sirens

#14.Custom windshield toys

#15.The menu feels more alive and fancy then most standard menus

Cons-

#1.I think the controls need more improvement. They are decent but I have played other racing games with better controls

#2.The crowds are just clones and are not realistic at all

#3.The weather doesn't change.I want to drive in the snow or rain

#4.There is no track deterioration

#5.Some people will hate the menu

The menu takes extra time to select and find what you want in it.The menu style should have had two options. The first option can be how it is now and the second option should of been an easier simplistic menu that the majority of games have.If the player could change the menu style to something easier and simple then this would solve this problem

The Bottom Line -

Dirt 2 is one of the best racing games that have ever played.I highly suggest that you buy it.The current price on steam is $39.99 and I think that is a little too high unless you are a hardcore racing fan.If you are a casual racing fan like I am then I suggest you wait for a steam deal and pay $20 or less.

Evil Genius

Pros-

#1.Graphics are decent

#2.The game is obviously based on Dr Evil from Austin Powers which is cool

#3.Watching your minions

#4.Building your base

Cons-

#1.The WORST thing about this game is that there is no way to speed it up.Real time strategy is just too damn real in this game. It is completely unnecessary as the only option.

#2.There is not enough options in how you want your base to look.It could of used the same concept as the sims games.I guess it does to a small degree but I want more options.

#3.No multiplayer.

#4. The current way the minions plot and steal is boring and lame.

You don't actually see them do either. All you see is them in a location on the world map.

I would change it so you click on an area in the world map and then it loads it and you actually SEE it.Say you get to actually watch the minions rob a bank, museum or rival evil mastermind and their success or failure is based on the type of minion, amount of minions and the weapons they bring.

If they are plotting then they can break into a location and steal documents or do surveillance. Then you get a idea of what the defense is and how to attack it or steal it.

I'm not saying you are forced to watch them but it would be a big improvement to the game if you wanted to.

#5.You only have one base.

Why can't I build new bases in other parts of the world.Don't most Evil Geniuses have many backup hideouts and bases at the same time?

The Bottom Line -

Evil Genius is fun for a little bit but the game is unfinished.I would of made it so there was a certain amount of Evil Genius at the start of a level or game and the objective is to be the boss of all bosses. You either kill them, kidnap them, rob them until they go bankrupt or blackmail them so they give into your demands and you win.

Then there is the government agencies trying to stop all of you and arrest you or kill you.

This game needs multiplayer as it would be much better.I would send my minions to attack my friends minions with bats and frying pans just for the laughs. You could have minions steal the clothing of rival minions and then sneak into a rivals base.

There is so many ways this game could be improved that my mind is going to explode with ideas.

It is still worth buying in it's present condition though.Wait for a steam deal and get it for $5.

GRID

Pros-

#1.Good graphics

#2.Many cars to choose from

#3.Good audio it sounds realistic to me

#4.There is a guy that talks to you during the race trying to help you and he says your name

#5.Multiplayer

#6.Flashback

#7.Replays of the race

#8.Multiple camera angles

#9.Some cool maps

#10.Crashing the car on purpose is fun and cool when you aren't racing

Cons-

#1.It is very hard to control the cars in this game. This alone is why I give a low score. If I drive slow then I can control the car but I will always be in last place

#2.The computer cars go faster then mine when we both have the same car and are both going full throttle

#3.Even the easiest difficulty setting is too hard for me.I will be in first for a little bit but then I will get to a sharp enough turn and lose control. If I slow down too much then I will get hit in the rear. They should of made the easiest difficulty even easier

#4.The crowds are just clones and are not realistic at all

The Bottom Line -

Grid has many good things going for it.It is just a shame that racing isn't one of them.I would rather cruise around at my own pace or try and crash into friends cars then race. The crashing is quite fun when you do it on purpose

If you want to cruise or crash then buy it

If you want to race then don't buy it

If you want to buy this then get it on the cheap as in $10 or less

Prototype

Pros-

#1.Cool "powers"

#2.The ability to steal tanks and go on a rampage

#3.Lots of blood and gore

#4.Hacking people to bits

#5.The ability to look like any human you can grab and consume

#6.Open world

Cons-

#1.Unoriginal story

The Bourne Identity is a 1980 spy fiction thriller novel by Robert Ludlum about a retrograde amnesiac who must discover who he is and why several groups, including an assassin and the CIA, are trying to kill him

There is also a game called Second Sight which came out in 2005 about a guy with amnesia who has psychic powers who has people trying to get him

Then there is Spider Man and GTA.Spider Man is a guy with "powers" in New York.GTA 3 is an open world based on New York

Now I have nothing against the concept of a guy with amnesia.I'm just pointing out the story in Prototype isn't original

#2.The graphics are nothing special

#3.You can only drive tanks but not other cars. This doesn't make sense to me

#4.I couldn't get into the story or care about any characters in it

#5.The atmosphere is always the same

#6.No multiplayer

#7.You have many powers you can get but some of them you will never need

The Bottom Line -

The "powers" are reason enough everyone should buy Prototype. The story didn't do anything for me but hopefully you wont feel the same way.The combat feels more like a hack and slash which is ok but I can only enjoy that for a little bit

Buy Prototype for $10 or less on a steam deal. The "powers" should at the very least get you to say it was worth that.Prototype is the kind of game I enjoy for 15 minutes but then get bored.I just think it needs more depth and variety to be called good or great

Company of Heroes: Anthology

Pros-

#1.Good graphics

#2.Good sounds

#3.Great single player

#4.Great multiplayer

#5.Cinematic mode

#6.The atmosphere gets destroyed

#7.Many units to choose from

Cons-

#1.Graphics are starting to look old

#2.No Russian,Japanese or Italian armies

#3.No naval battles

#4.Tanks can get stuck or slowed down because of bad AI.It isn't realistic when this happens

#5.Tales of Valor is shorter then the first 2 games campaigns

The bottom line-

Company of Heroes: Anthology is a must buy.It is called Company of Heroes Complete Pack on steam. They are the same thing with different names

They come with 3 cool games and I would be shocked if you didn't like them

On steam this is 49.99 full price and it is easily worth that.If you have low cash then I would wait for a steam deal and get it for $25 or less

Soldier of Fortune II: Gold

Pros-

#1.The multiplayer is really fun

#2.A few really cool maps

#3.Many weapons to choose from.Throwing knives at people is awesome

#4.Some cool music and sounds

#5.Many game types to choose from.I like infiltration and capture the flag the most

#6.This game is all about gore. You can shoot someones arm,leg and even their head off

#7.It works on Windows Vista with no problem

#8.Great gameplay

Cons-

#1.I didn't like single player. My review is based on multiplayer only

#2.All the characters look different but they really are all the same

#3.Some of the maps suck

#4.Graphics look old but it was released in 2002

#5.The bots on servers suck.Go to a server with no bots

#6.No voice chat. This game came out before voice chat was common

#7.You have to update punkbuster yourself.I know how to do this so send me a message if you don't know how

The Bottom Line -

Soldier of Fortune II: Gold was my favorite shooter for years and years. It is still in my top 5 favorite shooters

I have still not seen another shooter that has throwing knives. Many newer shooters could learn from the multiplayer gameplay in SOF2

This game compares to Counter Strike but I like SOF2 more

I definitely suggest you buy this game.Make sure you buy the gold edition when you do

The game costs around $20 used.I hope they put it on steam one day

Play infiltration and capture the flag and try all the maps out

BioShock

Pros-

#1.The atmosphere is awesome and I have never seen an underwater city look so cool

#2.The old school advertisements and music is something my grandparents would think was cool

#3.The "powers" that we acquire make the gameplay feel new

#4.The story is good and you should be surprised by it

#5.The Big Daddy is cool and fighting him is fun

#6.Having a machine and Big Daddy fight for you is cool

Cons-

#1.Machine hacking

The machine hacking is cool the first few times but now even the thought of it makes me want to punch the creators of the game.It just gets so repetitive and we should of been given the unlimited "power" to instantly hack every machine very early in the game so it wouldn't be an issue that we would have to keep dealing with

#2.Combat gameplay

Even with all these powers and weapons the best weapon for the majority of the game is the wrench.Only the grenade launcher is better but you will never have enough ammo to always use it.I'm just saying the wrench seems to do more damage then the shotgun and pistol and I wouldn't of made the game that way

You also have to switch between guns and switching through many powers in real time combat and that can be a pain

#3.Some useless "powers" for combat

There is a few "powers" that are good for combat but several of them are useless or close to it.You would be better off just using the wrench then wasting your time with rage, insect swarm, security bullseye and cyclone trap

#4.Not enough variety of enemies

Fighting the splicers just gets so repetitive. There is a few unique versions but they should of added more variety of enemies that were nothing like the splicers at all

#5.Searching for loot

It isn't that I dislike the concept. It is just the amount of time you need to do it to find everything is just way too much.I think searching through something that has nothing in it is just a waste of my time.I mean in the game you click to search some objects or bodies and there is nothing there

I would of made searching for loot much easier and with less wasted time finding nothing. If there was nothing to be found off a body or object then I wouldn't allow the player to search through it.I also would of made every object we can find viewable unless it was on a body.If this was changed to my idea then it would cut the time spent doing this significantly

#6.No multiplayer

The Bottom Line -

BioShock has a cool atmosphere and interesting story. The "powers" that I actually use and the Big Daddy make the game unique, interesting and fun

The overall gameplay is just average but don't let that stop you from buying it

I do recommend this game to you for the atmosphere being the best feature.Even if you are not into that then the "powers" or Big Daddy should be worth the price you pay

BioShock is $19.99 on steam full price but get it for $10 or less on a steam deal and you should tell me it was worth that price easily

Galcon Fusion

Pros-

#1.Easy to learn

#2.Several game modes make it more interesting

#3.Multiplayer

#4.10 different difficulty settings so you will find the one that fits you

#5.The game is cheap.$9.99 full price on steam

#6.This is the kind of game that is a workout on the brain like chess or poker

#7.It can help teach children addition and subtraction

Cons-

#1.Graphics don't impress me

#2.Music is nothing special

#3.No story

#4.Repetitive gameplay

The Bottom Line -

Galcon Fusion is a decent strategy game that is worth a try.I have been in multiplayer games that were very interesting and cool. You can switch between game modes and difficulty settings until you find the one that you like the best

This game isn't going to be for everyone so I am giving you the warning now.The more you like strategy games then the more likely you will like this

Get it for under $5 on a steam deal and give it a try

Thu, 22 Jul 2010 03:41:28 -0700 dantheman04 reviewed Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box for the PC... http://www.gamespot.com/burnout-paradise-the-ultimate-box/user-reviews/730022/platform/pc/ ...and gave it a 7.5.

Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box

Pros-

#1.Many cars in the game

#2.A few motorcycles

#3.You can buy upgraded cars if you don't want to earn better cars yourself

#4.Good graphics

#5.Solid controls

#6.There is a good variety of different places to drive to that look quite different from each other

#7.Multiplayer is fun

#8.Wrecking your car is awesome and one of the best parts of the game

#9.Many cool jumps

#10.Large variety of music

Cons-

#1.Annoying DJ

#2.You can't customize your car exactly how you want

#3.Not giving us the full game

I think that if companies want you to buy extra stuff then they should come out with an expansion and not try to rip us off after we bought the full game.I mean we all bought the full game so why not put everything in it

If all those upgraded cars we can buy on the side are in an expansion then I wouldn't have a problem with them charging for that.Selling them on the side when they should of come with this game is a greedy business tactic and not cool

#4.No story

#5.It is almost certain you wont like all of the music so you will have to remove the songs you don't like

#6.No police chases.I really enjoy the cops chasing me or when I can become the cops and go after friends and calling in the spike strip and backup. They do have a game mode called marked man but it just isn't the same

#7.There is no driver in any car

#8.You can't pick where you spawn

#9.There is no rain or snow option

The Bottom Line -

Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box is a fun driving game.I really like to cruise around with no destination and just to relax. When I want to compete I can do races or take down friends in multiplayer

This game isn't going to be for everyone as the lack of police chases and no humans inside of the cars is a little unrealistic

I do recommend this game to you though and I would say it was worth the $29.99 steam price as of today. You may want to buy the extra upgraded cars the game offers on the side so the less you pay the better.Get it for $15 or less on a steam deal

Tue, 20 Jul 2010 18:05:43 -0700 dantheman04 reviewed Kane & Lynch: Dead Men for the PC... http://www.gamespot.com/kane-and-lynch-dead-men/user-reviews/729817/platform/pc/ ...and gave it a 5.0.

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men

Pros-

#1.Lynch is interesting

#2.Many different maps

#3.Co-op.I have not tried it but at least there is the option

#4.The story is unique in the sense that there is no "good guys"

#5.There is multiplayer but there was nobody online playing for me to try it

Cons-

#1.The AI is really stupid and unrealistic and will kill the game for some people

#2.The story is nothing special but Lynch is the one good thing in it

#3.The cover system and the aiming system both hurt the game and should of been improved

#4.Not being able to skip cut scenes.I don't remember if I could skip some of them but I know for sure I couldn't skip them all and that sucked

#5.The swearing is in overkill.I swear every day but it seemed a little excessive in this game.I could be wrong on this as I have no idea what the average prisoner or robber in America would call excessive swearing

#6.I didn't like the ending of the game

The selfish ending where he leaves the men behind to die seemed realistic. You shouldn't feel happy or rewarded for being selfish.I would of taken this ending out of the game anyway because it sucks even if it is realistic

The saving your men ending I didn't like it either.I think Kane should of died and Lynch and Jenny should of escaped

I know that is not realistic if they were planning to make another Kane and Lynch game which they did.Kane would obviously have to survive both endings.I would rather Lynch got his own game

I just would of felt more sorry for Kane if he had died.I didn't find Kane to be interesting or likable. With his daughter dying I felt sorry for her and not him.If he had died then they could of shown her forgiving him.I think that would of been the best ending

The Bottom Line -

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men is not for everyone. The gameplay is a thumbs down but the game does have a variety of different map locations.Lynch was the only interesting part of the story

The game is made by the same people who make the hitman games.I kept waiting for Agent 47 to show up because it looks so similar to the hitman series.Do not be confused the hitman games are much better then this.Hitman Blood Money has better graphics and gameplay and is older then K and L

Kane & Lynch also reminded me of the Max Payne series in the sense of nothing seems to go right for Max or Kane. The Max Payne games are much better then K and L so don't read too much into my comparison

If I was you then I would pass on Kane & Lynch: Dead Men.The gameplay being the most important reason. The AI being so stupid and how hard it can be to aim at targets that are easily in range of the guns you shoot is very unrealistic

If you must buy it then get it $5 or less on steam and have low expectations

Mon, 05 Jul 2010 16:30:50 -0700 dantheman04 reviewed The Godfather for the PC... http://www.gamespot.com/the-godfather/user-reviews/727648/platform/pc/ ...and gave it a 7.0.

The Godfather

Pros-

#1.The driving in this game was good for a GTA type game

#2.Several ways to make a business owner pay

#3.Decent Graphics

#4.Some of the buildings look cool on the inside

#5.It is a challenge to beat the game and you will die a lot

#6.The story is solid

#7.Throwing people off buildings

#8.Creating your own character

Cons-

#1.There is clone armies of mobsters who guard buildings.Needs more variety

#2.Cars will magically appear out of nowhere

#3.Not being able to take mobsters in your family with you on all take overs.Just you alone against 20 mobsters is a little unrealistic if you ask me

#4.The AI mobsters will act like stupid bots

#5.Not enough vehicles to choose from

#6.Finding where you upgrade your clothing is complicated for no reason. You can upgrade your skills in game but to upgrade clothing you need to go to the load screen and click edit.I think they should of made a store in the game map to go to or at the very least made it the same as when you upgrade your skills

#7.No multiplayer

#8.It gets really repetitive

The Bottom Line -

The Godfather is a solid GTA type game and is worth a try especially if you love the Godfather movies like I do.It is by no means perfect or realistic but I did beat the game and had fun.

It is not for sale on steam anymore but you can get it on amazon.com for as low as $16 including shipping as of today.

Mon, 05 Jul 2010 04:30:26 -0700 dantheman04 reviewed Gangsters 2: Vendetta for the PC... http://www.gamespot.com/gangsters-2-vendetta/user-reviews/727553/platform/pc/ ...and gave it a 6.5.

Gangsters 2: Vendetta

Pros-

#1.Drive by shootings,hit men,bank robbery,prostitutes,armored cars,blowing up buildings and police bribery

#2.Taking your entire gangster family right to the enemy building and killing everyone using machine guns

#3.Taking control of new territory which allows you to buy more gangsters and weapons

#4.The game is challenging in some levels

#5.You can get the FBI to shut down a rivals illegal business

#6.It does have multiplayer but I never tried it

Cons-

#1.Weak Story

#2.All the lowest level gangsters or soldiers are the same only they look different and can be upgraded with better guns. The top gangsters in your family or your lieutenants have special abilities but they all feel the exact same as each other.I'm just saying the lack of variety might really bother you

#3.To hire a business specialist and make him go to the business you want him to run is complicated and it shouldn't be

#4.The game is really repetitive

#5.For all the options the game has it is shallow at the same time

The Bottom Line -

Gangsters 2: Vendetta is fun and a challenge.I beat the game a few times. If you like mafia games and if you like strategy then give it a try. This game isn't going to be for everyone so don't get upset if it's not for you.

I suggest you watch a video of the gameplay if you just aren't sure.

You can buy it at Amazon.com for around $12 including shipping as of today.

Team Fortress 2

Pros-

#1.Excellent Graphics

#2.Good sounds

#3.Many weapons to choose from

#4.Many characters to choose from with different sizes and speeds

#5.Many cool maps

#6.You can even change the characters hats

Cons-

#1.The worst thing about this game is that it has no story.I have a friend that would rate a game a 5 or 6 if it has no story regardless of how good the gameplay is.It doesn't bother me that much but it is a con of the game.

#2.If you are a noob then it may seem quite hard at first. The spy character is really hard for some people to learn.Just copy what the good players are doing and you will get the hang of it.

The Bottom Line -

Team Fortress 2 is a awesome shooter. It is a must buy if you like shooters. All the other good shooters out there and many of them don't have the options of this one.If you can get over the lack of a story and that it is a non military shooter then buy it.

It is $19.99 on steam full price as of today. It is well worth that price in my opinion but you can always wait for a steam deal and get it cheaper.

Sun, 04 Jul 2010 05:04:16 -0700 dantheman04 reviewed Plants vs. Zombies for the PC... http://www.gamespot.com/plants-vs-zombies/user-reviews/727417/platform/pc/ ...and gave it a 8.0.

Plants vs Zombies

Pros-

#1.Good Graphics

#2.Great Voice Acting and Sounds

#3.You slowly gain new types of plant defense which makes the game more rewarding

#4.The zombies are hilarious

#5.To unlock all the zombies you have to beat the game twice which adds to it's replay value

#6.The Boss of the game looks cool

#7.The music video after you beat the game

Cons-

#1.It can take a long time to get to a challenging level

#2.There needs to be different difficulty settings for the main game

#3.They should of added a way where the player can choose what zombies attack and how many in a specialty mode after the game has been beaten

The Bottom Line -

Plants vs Zombies is really fun and a must buy for strategy game fans.I was afraid the game was going to be too childish and easy but the strategy gets adult level hard.It is not that hard though and I have beat the boss on a single try. This is a game that really is for the whole family.

If you can get this game for $10 or less then get it.I highly recommend it.

I also recommend you buy Defense Grid: The Awakening and read my review about it.It is the same defense concept only a completely different game.

Portal

Pros-

#1.Good graphics for being almost 3 years old

#2.The computer enemy had very unique and interesting programing

#3.The portals are the best part of the game and a awesome creation

#4.The puzzles/levels get harder but not so hard I had to cheat or got angry with the game

#5.The funny things the computer enemy would say and the small machine gun bots

Cons-

#1.It's one of the shortest games that I have ever played

#2.I think the female character we play as looks weird.I would rather not look like her

#3.They could of added more options to the portal gun.One could launch you without you having to jump or another could be in a slower no gravity mode. There is plenty they could add to the gun to give more variety

#4.They could of added more different types of bot enemies

The Bottom Line -

It's a fun game and I would say it's worth $10.I liked that I didn't cheat and watch someone else show me how to beat it.I beat the entire game without any guidance. You do feel smarter as you beat it.

It's hard for me to compare it to another game.It is a puzzle action game more then a shooter.

Just buy it and give it a chance.
