I have always been a PlayStation gamer ever since the first console the PS1. From then on until now, I've lost count a rather long time ago how many epic/fun/amazing/emotional/enjoyable exclusives I've had the immense pleasure and honor of experiencing.

Let me first start by saying that MGS4 was my very first MGS game i got to play and enjoy, despite people and friends telling me to start from the first game i decided to just start with the 4th game and see what this franchise is about..let me just say that i was completely blown away..not by the long cut-scenes :P but how deep the story is, no matter you're new to the franchise or returning to it this game will capture you by its magic.

I will not spoil anything, by the end of the game you'll probably be in tears. Because how powerful the story, the controls, the music, the characters, the voice acting and the immersiveness of the game is, not to mention the beautiful graphics even by 2012 standards.

What is most great about the game is that it has huge amount of weapons and customizations.

I suggest every single PS3 owner to own and play this game, be ready to be crying...alot.
This game can be easily found anywhere for $10 or less even.

Final words:
Stunning! Epic! Amazing! Emotional! Legendary!

Tue, 14 Feb 2012 17:02:18 -0800 finalstar2007 reviewed Final Fantasy XIII-2 for the PlayStation 3... http://www.gamespot.com/final-fantasy-xiii-2/user-reviews/787779/platform/ps3/ ...and gave it a 9.5!

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is in my opinion one of the best Final Fantasy game this generation, the game has everything from a great/very emotional story to a great and fun battle system to easy trophies for those that enjoy hunting them.

With all that being said Final Fantasy XIII-2 has to be one of the most addictive games to come out in a long while, the game pretty much took me 80 hours to platinum and 35 hours to beat, if you haven't played FFXIII and do not feel like playing or buying that game then you don't really have to as FFXIII-2 actually offers a section that explains everything from XIII chapter by chapter so not only is it a great way to remind those that played the first game but also a great way for those that haven't even played the first game to find out what happened, there's no need to even read anything as the game will tell you what happened with a voice so set back, relax and enjoy the story of the first game.

Once you start XIII-2 you'll notice that this time around the game will ask you which difficulty you need to play the game on making you chose between "Easy" or "Normal", pretty much just like any other games these days, I personally started with normal but then ended up switching to Easy middle of the game (Yes you can switch at anytime you want during the game) which I found out was a great option to have in there.

As soon as you start the game you will start it with a bang as they say since you'll begin with Lighting fighting against a man named Caius followed by lots of action after, this game is very emotional for those like myself that enjoy emotional games, this is filled with emotions which almost reminded me of Final Fantasy X and the love that went between Tidus and Yuna, I don't really want to go too much on the story to be honest since in my opinion it is best if you play it and find out on your own but I guess I'll make it a bit simple, Lighting asks Noel ( a guy that comes from the future ) to go find her sister Serah and bring her to Lighting to save her and save the future, Noel and Serah start traveling space and time visiting many worlds together facing some happy moments together and some very sad moments together. The game has about 8 endings depending on how you approach the characters and the questions they ask.

The gameplay is still the same as FFXIII and is very new at the same time, it's now much faster than XIII and the leveling system is even faster which I thought was pretty awesome compared to XIII. Square Enix sure have improved this game big time from the first.

XIII-2 is filled with amazing soundtrack from the start of the game till the end non-ending great soundtrack.

Overall I'd say don't pay too much attention to the media out there hating on the game and I hope Square don't take them too seriously and keep producing great games like this. I have truly enjoyed playing this game and I hope to see more of this universe.

I give the game a clear 9.5/10!

I suggest every RPG fan and FF fan to give this game a try, if not right now then after it's a bit cheaper in price.

I have download the game on the XBOX360 and.......it is very amazing and unique. It reminds me a bit the metroid gameplay style'here you control a spaceship' but it is a very good game for the XBOXLive.
Very good music and brilliant animation and fantastic art style. After playing the game firsthand, it makes perfect sense that the creative force behind Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet is an animation artist.
The controls and gameplay are Metroid style exploration and puzzle solving, you even have a scanning device that'll show you an enemies weakness,. Your little alien saucer is nimble and ever changing. You'll find many an upgrade for your armor and various tools as you venture deeper into the Shadow Planet.
Getting to play Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet at is a wonderful surprise.Exploration, puzzle solving, and boss fights. A great adventure....that you don't want to miss.

Now most of you don't like to hear e truth (as you have been crying about Gamespot's 7.5 review on this game); however, I personally don't care whether you try to down my review or whether you enjoy it, I am just here to speak my mind on my experience with this game. So, are you ready? Ok...lets start with the story:

Story - You're playing as Cole (of course) & start the game off getting your "can" handed to you by The Beast. Your getting owned leads you to New Marias to obtain new powers to defeat The Beast. Along the way you meet some interesting characters which will become some of your allies or enemies.

Opinion on story- I enjoyed the story for the most part, but I will say that THE FINAL BATTLE & Your MAIN antagonist (Bertrand) were some of the most lamest additions to this game.

Fighting The Beast at the end (those two times) were flipping LAME! This is THE BEAST that Kessler was saying was so powerfull that he rocked "his world" & had to go back to "train himself" to become more powerfull than he was. Yeah.....RIGHT! THIS BEAST was like watching Star Wars for the first time, seeing how hardcore Vader was, getting to Return of The Jedi & watching the face under the helmet as Luke removed it........THAT'S HIM?! WHAT THE HECK, MAN?! WHAT THE HECK?! First of all lets make it clear that JOHN is The Beast & that his character felt so rushed & forced into this game that it felt to an extent like he didn't belong here. I expected so much from The Beast & yet it felt as if he was just thrown in there just to be the elephant in the room. John appears, John tells Cole to heal a conduit, John appears again as The Beast, John kills Laroche & his men, Cole fights the beast (with Kuo buzzing around), John follows Cole for the Final "fight" & John dies with Cole. I mean...WHAT THE HECK?! The Beast was suppose to be some almights "We will we will ROCK YOU" Conduit & instead barely did appeared & when he did it was LAME. John should've played more of a role in this game & should've been able to do MORE than suck people in (Giggity) & throw fire balls (energy) from his hands. HIGHLY disappointed in The Beast.

Spoilers over

Story - 5/10

Gameplay- If you enjoyed the controlls/powers of the first game then inFamous 2 should keep you smiling...for awhile at least. You get some pretty cool new powers & have some cool combos, but the combos become pretty repetitive with the slow motion & same ol scenes every other enemey. You pretty much have to unlock new skills through xp points & for some moves have to do stunts to unlock them. I had no real problem with the gameplay & pretty much enjoyed it. However, i did come across a few glitches in which I was either stuck in some poles or in some cases the camera would go berserk while fighting (which was a pain in the behind).

Gameplay - 7/10

Graphics- The graphics are a HUGE step up from the original game & actually made some cut scenes seem more vivid. I liked how New Marias was had the feel of New Orleans & how the characters seemed to be more down to earth in this one. Cole was more human in this entry than he was in the original game....in the first game he spoke like he swallowed glass & walked around with this depression like he had come to terms with the fact that he will be a bike messenger for life (It was depressing). Basically, this Cole in inFamous 2 was like Vin Diesle from The Fast & The Furious & The Cole from inFamous was Vin Diesle from Pitch Black. All in All...Sucker Punch did well with inFamous 2 as far as this department goes.

Graphics - 8/10

Music- The music in inFamous 2 was actually well done & felt more heroic is some cases.

Music - 8/10

Final Thoughts - Although this was a well done upgrade from the first game, I still feel that this game fell short on some of the main parts that COULD'VE made this a great game. The story just didn't live up to where the previous game made it seem it would go. The Beast was more like an angry child upset that their happy meal didn't come with a toy than the monsterous powerhouse Kessler made him scene. Hmmmm.....I only beat this on Good Karma so I don't know what the evil ending will be (The Good Karma ending was good but still felt as if it was missing something). Listen, if you are a fan of the series then you should definitely pick this up & enjoy it for what it is....a good game.

Wed, 06 Apr 2011 11:33:04 -0700 finalstar2007 reviewed Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel for the PlayStation 3... http://www.gamespot.com/ar-tonelico-qoga-knell-of-ar-ciel/user-reviews/761309/platform/ps3/ ...and gave it a 9.5!

Ar tonelico is a series that started on the PS2 a few years ago and began to be one of the most great RPGs having amazing and beautiful songs/soundtrack. Ar Tonelico 2 on the PS2 was known to be one of the most amazing games to release in 2009 and Ar tonelico 3 or Ar Tonelico Qoga the recent release on PS3 is no different.

Ar Tonelico Qoga has one of the best soundtrack in a game, the soundtrack keep you going for more and more till the game is beaten. the game also depends on the player to chose the path and the ending desired, your choices will determine which ending you get, the game has multiple endings again depending on the player with either having a sad ending, normal ending or a happy ending.

Battle system, , the battle system is action based more like star Ocean 4 ( if you played it ), its quick, fast and each battle system has a different great soundtrack, the thing i love the most is how fighting with monsters has a limit, which means you have a meter that show you the amount of fighting you do then after beating everyone you are clear to run around the jungle, town, desert or anywhere without having to worry about fighting monsters ever minute unlike final fantasy X for example which it asks you to find a specific item to start not having to worry about monsters appearing.

Dive system- The diving system is pretty funny concept and has its own mini story which also helps develop the characters in your team, one funny thing i found is there is a panic button while diving and also gives you a trophy if you click it over 100 times.

Ar Tonelico Qoga has many positive sides in it and some minor negatives so will list them as follows:

Positives:
# Amazing soundtrack
# Top-notch voice acting
# Fun gameplay
# Great battle system
# Hilarious
# Beautiful visuals
# Towns

Negatives:
Some little slow downs during battles which isn't that bad

One thing to note is that the game comes with a beautiful package with the game, a soundtrack CD and a hard copy art book. as well as the game dosent end after beating the game players can go back and change their decisions to view the other endings and also the game offer you an extra section to view all your music, unlocks and movies.

Overall the game is a must have by any PS3 owner and RPG fans, the game shouldn't be missed. lastly all thanks to NISA for bringing such a great and fun game

The game isnt the best JRPG out there but overall its a fun game that has lots of fighting to do

The game is basically about System Wars or the console wars where the dominate systems like PS3, Xbox360 and Wii are all together fighting along side an old sega console against piracy. all consoles listed above are demonstrated in the game as human girls that can transform into a fighting machine once their CPU in activated.

You start the game as Neptune ( the name of the old sega console ) which she forget everything about herself due to black heart ( PS3 ), Green heart ( 360 ) and white heart ( Wii ) ganging on her to remove her from the gaming industry, now you help her fight monsters to get a secret key to awaken the goddess of all.

gameplay is very straight forward and is random encounter which personally i didnt like that much.
music were very nice at first but after playing more and more the music started to get very annoying.

Cutscenes are very cute and some of dialog is truly funny to hear them talk about the gaming industry in the game itself
Overall the game is truly fun and if your a JRPG fan then it should be truly fun for you.

Wed, 05 Jan 2011 12:46:17 -0800 MusashiSensi reviewed Mafia II for the Xbox 360... http://www.gamespot.com/mafia-ii/user-reviews/751192/platform/xbox360/ ...and gave it a 8.5.

Story- The storyline for Mafia II is a gritty drama and chronicles the rise of Vito Scaletta, the son of Sicilian immigrants. As the game progresses, Vito joins the Falcone crime family and becomes "a made man" along with his best friend Joe Barbaro. You experience the ups & downs of being a made man & just what it takes to survive in the family for another day.

Gameplay- The gameplay is familiar if you have played games like Scarface, The Godfather & so on, so you will not be struggling to get the controls for the game on point. You get to customize your apparel & pick up some sweet rides.....well....for that time at least.

Graphics- The graphics are sweet & detailed. There is nothing here on the scale of Mass Effect 2, but you will appreciate the details.

Music- The music that plays on the radio was chosen very well & actually fits some of the moods of the story. I love oldies & I must say there are some classics here.

Verdict- I enjoyed this game very much as I am an organized crime buff & pretty much liked the story here (especially the ending). You will not be disappointed with this game & if you are just say "Musashi made me do it".

Story- Every 50,000 years an ancient machine race invades the galaxy and wipes out all advanced organic civilizations with ruthless efficiency. You assume the role of Commander Shepard, one of the few who believe the ancient legend, to lead an elite reconnaissance squad across the galaxy to stop the next invasion of the machine race.

You must act without remorse, without hesitation, and outside the limits of the law to preserve civilized life. You are the tip of the spear for humanity and you alone know the consequences of failure.

Music- The music for this game was awesome ESPECIALLY THE ENDING THEME (M4 Part 2 by Faunts).

Gameplay- The gameplay is very smilar to the old KOTOR series games, so if you have played those, you will be use to this game. It is very simple to upgrade & use your weapons/powers. The fact that you can create your character to your specific taste makes you become one with this character.

Graphics- The graphics were actually good & the worlds were beautiful...well...some were. Lol.

Verdict- GREAT GAME! PLAY IT!

Story- Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is the direct sequel of 2009's Assassin's Creed II picking up right at the end of the last game. The story once again features the titular character of Ezio Auditore da Firenze, now a legendary Master Assassin, as you are taken through his time in the Italian capital of Rome. It is here that he discovers new and old allies alike, founding a new Assassin's brotherhood in order to battle the tyranical Templar family, the Borgia, and helps the city experience the true wealth and wonder of the Renaissance. It also continues the modern day Assassin's journey, where Desmond Miles and the team look through Ezio's memories in order to discover the location of a Piece of Eden.

Graphics- To me they were the same as they were in the 2nd game, so not that much of an upgrade.

Gameplay- The gameplay was the same with a couple of new additions (riding in tanks, recruiting new assassins to do your killing for you, etc). However, recruiting the new assassins became a waste after awhile because my Ezio became so strong/skillful that I almost forgot I had recruits.

Music- Nothing worth mentioning.

Verdict- This game fell short & just barely got back up to me. I was really letdown by this game, but I am still a fan of the series. Lets just hope the next entry is better than this one.

As usual I am late to reviewing this game, so I will just skip the intro & get to the point.

Story- You play as Ezio Auditore da Firenze the son of an Assassin who eventually becomes an Assassin of great importance. Without spoiling anything major, you will be diving into many important history based themes & coming across some BIG names.

Gameplay- The gameplay worked for me & although it did take some getting use to, I caught the hang of it & enjoyed myself very much.

Music- The music was ok for this game & really didn't move me or make a memorable impact on me.

Graphics- The graphics for this game were really lovely. The people, the city, the environments were all lovely.

Verdict- I played the game twice & enjoyed it very much both times. I feel that if you are looking for a good game with a good story to jump on board & make a killing.

DeathSpank is an RPG game that can be found on the PlayStation Network ( PSN ) on PS3 and unlike any download game this is by far the best download game i buy for the year!

The game is well worth the $15 and is truly enjoyable. Basically you go after some strange artifact that was requested for DeathSpank to find and along the way he meets a lot of people ( with amazingly funny conversations ) and along the way there will be many and many side quests to do if your after to get all the trophies their pretty easy to get once you do all the major side quests you should end up with a 100% trophies by the time the game ends.

i will try to list what was positive and what was negative about the game:

Positive:
-Battle system is pure fun and gets deeper and deeper the more you get into the game.
-Trophies are truly easy to get.
-Hilarious voice acting and conversations make it addicting to play for hours and hours.
-Graphics amazingly beautiful
- Sound track really good
- Hours and Hours of fun
- Has a sequal!

Negative:
- in my opinion there was nothing negative about the game

Overall i suggest anyone who has a $15 to cash in to play this game and enjoy. this is by far the best download game so far:)

I just beat this game last night & this game really has to be the BEST game I have played this year so far!

Story- You play John Marsden an ex criminal who is trying to live a normal life as a decent man until the government stops that dream by kidnapping his family & holding them until John takes down his old gang. The story is well driven, full of excitement & hits you where you least expect it. The characters are really life like & full of energy which is why you will find yourself caring for them (Well, some of them) like family before the end of the game.

Gameplay- The gameplay mechanics are really cool. Riding a horse around the BEAUTIFUL scenery instead of a car was really was a real nice twist from rockstar. The cover system was a little uneven at times; however, it is nothing worth shooting yourself in the foot over.

Graphics- The first thing I noticed while playing was how the horses muscles moved while running & how the characters reacted while being hit with bullets. Everything from the mountains, sky, sunset, sunrise, rainfall/storm, moon in the sky & detailed grassland/prairie was BEAUTIFUL!

Music- The music really set the stage for some scenes & especially "Far Away" which was sung by Jose Gonzalez. (Deep).

Verdict- Well, This game will get a 10 from me (honestly it's getting that because of the ending, but it would've been a 9.5 if I didn't like the ending). All in all, you'd be be one cow pie on the bottom of a dead mans boot if you didn't pick this up, ya hear? (Lol).

Another day 1 buy & late review. I promise that this will stop since I am on my break from school.

Story- You're playing as Kazuma again & a year has passed between the 2nd & 3rd game. You're now the owner of your own orphanage in Okinawa & have left your Yakuza life....or so you think. Early on in the game you find out that the Yakuza family's in Tokyo & in Okinawa are now after your land (No spoilers, so I won't give the reason). You find yourself in the middle of a turf war & since you're Mr. Kick the snot out of everyone.

Music- The music when during the end of the "bull scene" was touching. Graphics- The graphics were better...but nothing jaw dropping

Verdict- The start of the game is SLOOOOOOOOOOW & the ending...the ending to me just seems to be the repeat of the last two in different forms. I was hoping for a great game & instead I was given this.

This was a day 1 purchase for me & another later review, but it must be done!

Story- The story picks up right where the sequel ended putting us on Olympus with the Titans & the Gods. Kratos is stopping at nothing to kill his father Zeus to obtain his vengence & will rip ANYONE inside out who stands in his way.

Gameplay- The gameplay is pretty much the same with some new weapons included to make the experience a little different. Honestly, nothing new was added as far as gameplay that would make you say "OH MY GOD...OF WAR!".

Music- The music for God of War is well done & very epic during some fight scenes. I had the score on my zune, so I really like it.

Graphics- This time around the backgrounds & characters are very detailed which adds more realism to the characters & enviroments. The muscles on Kratos back actually move while he walks & the facial expressions on SOME characters seem really well done.

Verdict- The game had it's good/bad moments, so it wasn't a PERFECT game. However, God of War 3 is one of the best games that I've played in 2010.

I bought this game day 1 & I am really ashamed that it has taken me so long to review it (Med school has me tied up). Anyways, lets get to talking about this GREAT GAME!

Story: Once again you're playing as the smart mouthed, gun slinging, wall climbing & straight butt kicking adventurer, Nathan Drake. This time we're on a quest to find the treasures of Marco Polo's lost fleet which will bring us across many memorable characters. There is betrayal, romance, EXPLOSIVE CHASE SCENES & a touch of the supernatural involved in this sequel, so you will not be playing a snorefest.

Gameplay- The gameplay is the same as before with an effective cover system & QTA's (Quick Time Action's) thrown in.

Music- The music is awesome! I am a huge fan of music in general & Uncharted's score is one of my top 10 favs.

Graphics- The graphics were amazing & very detailed.

Verdict- Although, there were some story elements that reminded me of the 1st game, but it was still a GREAT game by far. If you have the ps3 & want to invest in a great series....Uncharted is the series for you.

Trinity Universe is a Japanese RPG and a dungeon crawler exclusively for PS3. the game uses a turn based battle system with random encounters which i personally loving so much. The game is set in this world where the child king called Kanata must be scarified in order to bring the world into a more stable world but during the sacrifice a mistake happens and the child turn into a half human half dog and runs away from his castle as he dosent agree with being scarified, he goes into an adventure to find other ways to save his world without hm being scarified and along the way he meets lots of people to help him out.The game is full of humor from start to end and has lots of fun to get trophies if your into collecting them, probably playtime of 80+ hours should give you a plat.

Gameplay: Its a turn based battle system with random encounters, every 15 to 25 seconds you'll encounter a battle. battles are fast and smooth, you can heal whenever you want if that is quiped and can also use the search option to look for hidden items, you can walk around and see the characters bodies all in 3D environments.

Graphics: Graphics and all the characters which can be seen moving, breathing like an alive anime is just beautiful, this is so far one of NIS best looking games.

Overall: i think the game can be enjoyed by hardcore RPG fans and those new as well, the game is easy to learn, fun and can give you lots of hours of laughter with all the humor around, trophies and leaderboard is a plus all in all i give the game a 8.5/10. really good and worth it, all JRPG PS3 owners should give this game a try.

Amazing game, amazing graphics and great sound track that can never be old on the ears.

Uncharted 2 is by far the best action game on the PS3! in this game as the first game you play as Nathan Drake a treasure hunter which try and solve the mystery of the gentinani stone ( which i think i just spelled wrong lol) anyways and as he go on to find and solve this mystery he finds himself into a very deep and dangerous puzzle that happened ages ago. you'll be traveling into beautiful contries such as Nepal with amazing and stunning graphics that looks almost like the real deal.

The presentation is amazing, it just feels like your into a movie. plus having an amazing online experiences makes it the best game made by ND

Finally, this masterpiece must not be missed by any ps3 owner, this game is indeed the game of the year! and you must! no you have to buy it!

Not sure how to start, this game is simply amazing, this games gives soo much even more things and improvements than the last games, graphics are gorgeous, sounds are amazing makes you never bored.

the story about finding Clank which was taken by the zonies ( small time travelers creatures) so ratchet try's his best to find his best friend after what happened in tools of destruction and quest for booty , what i find most amazing is this game would be the classic feel into it with amazing graphics just makes it simply one of the best R&C games yet! the game is worth the time and worth the money! every ps3 owner must get it.

Another thing would be the puzzles which fit the series and the story just right. with great graphics, amazing sound track, many many weapons to use, wonderful story, great puzzles and great characters its a must buy!

Story- Extreme-G is set in the distant future where Earth is a mere wasteland. From their new found planet the human colonists watch with joy as their remote controlled power-bikes wreak havoc through their ancient cities.

Gameplay- The gameplay was actually very fun & immersive. You could actually shoot projectiles (missles, mines, etc) at your opponents which made this game very fun to play especially when gaming with friends.

Graphics- The graphics to me were pretty decent compared to some of the bigger games with better graphics (Mario 64, Wave Race, Star Wars: Shadows Of The Empire).

Music- The music was ok, but I have heard better.

Summary- This was one of the coolest racer games on the 64 back in the days. I had alot of fun with this game & will advise you to pick it up if you are an old gamer.
