Well fans let's face the facts: Sonic's more recent 3D ventures have been craptacular adventures with loose controls, horrendous cameras, glitches aplenty and overall no effort put into these once classic gems. Heck even Sonic's voice actor Jason Griffith, could've put more effort into that voce of his. It looked as though Sonic's future was bleak.

Up until this point...

Enter Sonic Unleashed, a surprisingly solid, fun and addicting game that fires on all cylinders. It's fast, insane, and overall, an improvement from past 3D Sonic titles...

Gameplay and Control 8.5/10
The gameplay is split into two parts: Daytime, where you control the speedy Sonic, and Nighttime stages in which you play as the fist-a-cuff fighting werehog. Well Sega it's ABOUT TIME. You apparently got the message that speed is what most of us fans want from a Sonic title. Not only that but you decide to implement a 2D perspective to some sections of the daytime segments, whihc brought me back to my days of sitting down and playing Sonic 3 on my genesis for hours on end. Indeed, Sonic Unleashed's daytime stages are the icing on the cake. They're highly enjoyable with tons of speed. The nighttime stages were actually...mildly enjoyable. I know there's more werehog stages than daytime stages, but thankfully you can clear them in about 5-10 minutes tops. There are three different controls hat will suit any player: The Wiimote and Nunchuck, the classic controller or the GC controller. Each one has tight controls, handling Sonic has never been so easy. Whereareas in previous ventures, I'd be slipping and sliding all over the place in games like Sonic '06 (shudders at the memory), Unleashed's controls found me handling turns and running like a dream. Though it's recommended you use a classic controller if you have one, since the boost and homing attack are initiated to two different buttons (Note that for the wiimote and nunchuck, the boost and homing attack are set to shaking the wiimote which could lead to accidentally boosting when you wanted to home in on the enemy, the GC controller just feels so unnatural, though it isn't a terrible choice, neither is the nunchuck.) Either way Unleashed is a blast to play.

Sound 8.0/10
The music in this game is amazing! I was honestly starting to get sick of the rock soundtrack that Sonic had and this was a nice departure from it. Not only was it original and catchy, but it made it feel more like I was playing a 3D megadrive game than a Wii game, really it's that good. The VA...FINALLY. It's actually bearable! Jason Griffith you finally learned from your many scoldings from fans that you need to improve your voice acting or suffer our wrath and it shows. He no longer sounds annoying, he sounds good...GOOD for pete's sake! Mike Pollock gave the performance of his career as Dr.Eggman, I loved it better than any other Sonic game he was in. Everyone improved greatly...However there's always ONE terrible voice actor in our midst...Chip. He's a likeable character, but Tony Salerno was not a good choice of voice actor for him. Overall though great job.

Graphics 7.5/10
The graphics are colorful and pretty. Sonic himself has his old school look back: The classic smile that I've been missing from his Genesis days can be seen on his face throughout daytime stages. The FMVs are GORGEOUS. It should be noted the 360 version's ingame cutscenes are considered FMVs in the Wii version (The fact these cutscenes can run so smoothly on the Wii is rather amazing). The REAL FMVs are even better, possibly rivalling a Pixar film. This is some of the best graphics for a Wii Sonic game I've seen to date.

Replay value 7.5/10
The ranking system from past Sonic games return. For daytime stages, getting an S-rank involves beating the clock in a fast-paced race to the goal, and Werehog segments involve doing three things: Collect rings, defeat enemies, AND beat the alotted time. All these will give you 1-3 Sun or Moon medals depending on the rank. If you get a C rank, no medal for you...that's where the replay value comes in. You may not do so well your first time through, but then you come back later to get a better rank. Simple enough right? There's more to it. Littered across the various stages are special items. They vary from concept art, music, movies and secret documents which reveal the location of items you may have missed...Collecting them all is a chore. There's also secret doors within the Gaia gate that reveal puzzles where you'll earn secret missions and bonus lives. In other words, SU's replay value is rather massive. However, a skilled collect-a-holic platformer can probably grab everything in a matter of days...yep, I'm dead serious, it's actually rather easy.

Overall score 8.5/10
Really SU on the Wii is a superb game. It certainly beats the other Sonic 3D ventures and is the best one since SA2 hands down. If you're looking for a good, fun Sonic game that brings you back to your heyday, look no further than Sonic Unleashed.

Good: Fun daytime segments, mildly enjoyable nighttime segments, tons of replay value, gorgeous cutscenes and good graphics

Bad: I wish there were more daytime stages, collect-a-holic platform gamers will destory this game in days, could've been a bit longer now that I think about it...

Tue, 29 Jan 2008 18:45:22 -0800 kirby456 reviewed Mario Party DS for the DS... http://www.gamespot.com/mario-party-ds/user-reviews/544753/platform/ds/ ...and gave it a 9.5!

The DS has a handful of mini-game collections, like Bomberman Land Touch! and Duck Amuck, but Nintendo's madcap Mario Party series has arrived on the DS. This isn't Mario Party Advance either, this is straight up Mario Party fun like its N64 and Gamecube counter parts. This time, the story centres around Mario one night finding a sky crystal. The next day, when Mario and crew are discussing this rare object, Bowser invites them to a party, to make up for being such a jerk...an obvious trap, but Mario and his friends fall for it. The Koopa king then grabs the sky crystal, and with his new invention, the minimizer, shrinks our pals to the size of mice! If that's not bad enough, Bowser whisks them far away from his castle. Now Mario and the others have to find the remaining four sky crystals and show Bowser a thing or two.

Like previous installments, Mario Party DS involves running around a game board collecting stars scattered throughout. You can buy these for 20 coins. Any MP veteran should know the drill by now: Hit the dice block to see who goes first, everyone takes their turns, you play a mini-game, repeat. It sounds easy, however, during turn six, the final five frenzy will start, in which Bowser pops up and helps the player in last place in a variety of ways. They include:

Get 20-30 coins

Get 10 coins from others

Stars for 5 coins

Get 1 star

Get 300 stars

The last one you'll never get...NEVER. If you do, it'll scroll up one or two places up and give you something else. The friend spaces, which allow you and one character of your choosing to receive five coins, is replaced by duel spaces, which allow you to pick an opponent and compete for coins, or even...stars. The party boards are varied: Wiggler's Garden involves the usual set-up, Toadette's Music Room involves paying a certain amount of coins to buy a star, DK's Stone Statue you can get as many stars as you want from the Star Splurge space located at the top of the statue, Kamek's Library has you opening jars for 10 coins each, and Bowser's Pinball Machine brings it back to square one, collecting stars for 20 coins.

The real selling point of the game is its massive mini-game collection of 70. There's such variety in them too. Dust Buddies has you trying to escape being sucked up by a vaccuum, Toppling Terror has you blowing into the MIC along with a partner to blow down a Whomp onto the opposing team, Get the Lead Out has you mashing the A button to get the longest distance. There's so many to choose from, and the big deal about these...only very few of them are duds. Of course, you'll have the other usual modes to choose from and some new ones. The wild Party mode returns as well as mini-game mode. Puzzle-Mode features puzzles from previous installments and a new one called Triangle Twisters.

Now I'm sure some of you are disappointed this game doesn't have Wi-Fi, but the DS download play is more than enough. You can play all the modes from single-player with up to three of your friends...on one game card! The CPU don't put up much of a challenge on easy or normal. Hard gives you a decent challenge at least. WARNING: Do not compete against CPUs on Expert unless you think you're ready, because chances are, in mini-games, you'll almost never win, I guarantee you, ESPECIALLY in games like Rail Riders and Get the Lead Out.

You'll get the 8 main characters who've been in Mario Party for quite some time: Mario, Luigi, Wario, Peach, Daisy, Waluigi, Yoshi, and Toad. Even though Boo or Birdo aren't in this installment, 8 is more than enough as opposed to Mario Party Advance's four characters. The Gallery is also new. You can view character figures, board features, badges, and boss trophies you've unlocked via the single-player mode through Mario Party points, which are accumulated by playing through boards and mini-games.

Overall, Mario Party DS is a truely impressive entry, possibly the best entry yet, equally as good as the N64 originals. Because like the old saying goes, 'Ain't no party like a Mario Party.'

Good: Variety of mini-games, loads of bonus content, highly addicting, four players with just one game pak

Bad: ...?

Sat, 06 Oct 2007 12:01:16 -0700 kirby456 reviewed Crash of the Titans for the PlayStation 2... http://www.gamespot.com/crash-of-the-titans/user-reviews/503362/platform/ps2/ ...and gave it a 8.5.

Crash's last otuing Crash Boom Bang! probably disappointed many fans of the series. Twinsanity was okay, but it was too short and the glitches were quite frustrating. Tag Team Racing I considered even worse due to the fact that only eight characters, and a not so immersive story ruined the experience. But don't count the bandicoot out quite yet fans. Radical's just unleashed an all new platformer that's sure to please and even impress long time fans. Crash of the Titans is the latest, and the finest, entry in the series yet. The story centres around Cortex's plot to unleash an army of beasts called 'Titans' upon the Wumpa Islands and destroy Crash Bandicoot. To make matters worse, he's kidnapped Coco, and froze Crunch in a block of ice, leaving Crash and Aku Aku to fight off the invasion. For the first time ever in a Crash game, you aren't collecting crystals or travelling back through time or anything like that. This is also a beat 'em up (That's right, Crash is putting his dukes up), but don'tthink of this as another mindless fighting game. Crash has a ton of combo moves to fight enemies. Also included is something called the 'Jacking' feature. After defeating a Titan, you'll notice the O button over its' head. This means it's stunned, now's your chance! Now you can take control of the Titan and use it against your foes! An interesting feature about Jacking, is that there's a food chain to it. So you can jack a small Titan, then a medium, then a large, and so on and so on and so on. Did I mention you can even 'Jack' the big bad bosses of the game?

Of course, this game isn't without it faults. The fixed camera can make those ultra intense battles frustrating when there's an enemie off screen chucking bombs at you. And (Very rarely) the framerate drops under thirty frames per second, but these can be forgivable. Also new to the series is the addition of two-player co-op with a Carbon version of Crash as the second player. There are two different versions of this: Leapfrog and Backpack. Leapfrog has you switching roles every time you tackle a new jump, or obstacle, and backpack has you two working together, taking down enemies, but with the press of the circle button, any player can instantly sit out of the action in the form of...well...a backpack. This is very useful because player one or two doesn't have to worry about pausing every second if you have to use the bathroom or grab a quick drink. The game also has a good sense of humour as well. Spy cameras disguised as toilets, and the enemies random lines, rarely the same. as well as the cut scenes are guaranteed to at least make you smile with joy.

Overall, COtT is a very worthy addition to the series, and I'm not just saying or rating it so high because I'm a fan. This is the best Crash game I've played in a good long time. Fans will surely be pleased with this entry. Good: Great story, fun gameplay mechanics; Two player Co-op and a good sense of humour, very little repetition in enemy dialogue.

Bad: Fixed camera will frustrate...

I played the PS2 version, which I thought was fun, but the analog controls get a bit frustrating, then I play the Wii version. What do I think of this version? Good on the PS2, but AMAZING on the Wii! Th fourth installment of the series finds our limbless hero in an awkward situation: Bunnies or Rabbids have kidnapped him and his friends, and now, in a gladiator type situation, he must play through crazy mini-games for his freedom.

Gameplay: Perfect!
This is the most unique game on the Wii next to WarioWare Smooth Moves. Some mini-games allow you to use your hands like you were running, drumsticks, and many others uses. Also, the game itself is a fun little title demanding attention. The funniest mini-game in my book, was Bunnies have a great ear for music, in which you had to slap bunnies that were out of tune. A lot of fun!

Graphics: 9/10

This is the very first thing I noticed about this version...the graphics were waaayyy better than the PS2 version. From the selected mini-games to detail (In the Shake your Booty! mini-games, some of the bunnies are different colors, the bunnies have a bit more...how should I put this...enthusiasm than they do in the PS2 version during the FPS mini-games. Like in Bunnies don't like being disturbed on holiday, the bunnies will literally wake up if disturbed...)

Sound: Perfect

Yesssss!!! From remixed versions of Girls just Wanna Have Fun, and La Bamba, to the Rabbids crazy little screams and stupid idiotic stares, the sound will not only make you laugh, but dance to the many songs.

Replay Value: Perfect

You have an account on Rayman Zone? Think you're the best player ever? You can play Score mode and get codes to submit on the site to become the best of the best. And there are so many mini-games to choose from...HOORAY! Move over Mario Party, looks like you have some competition!

Reviewers' Tilt: 9/10

You'd have to be someone with no good sense of humour whatsoever to hate this game.

Overall: Get it right now!

Rayman fans may be disappointed, but, hey, with a funny game like this, you can't help but smile at those darned bunnies...

Good: Unique gameplay, simply hillarious, good use of songs, 70+ mini-games.

Bad: Where's dialogue when you need it? A bit repetitive at times...rayman fans may be disappointed.

Such a shame that Kirby's first racing game wasn't all that good huh? Originally to be released on the N64, Kirby Air Ride is a not too bad racing game, however, it could've been way better.

Gameplay: 7/10

I thought it was easy too, but, you've got to look past that okay? I mean it's enjoyable, it can be fun, there are plenty of things to be unlocked and stuff. Also, there are a few fun modes to be tried out too, you know?

Graphics: 9/10

Alright, the graphics were great, excellent I might add. It was alright for a Gamecube game.

Sound: 9/10

The music and SFX were amazing, well I thought it was...

Replay Value: 5/10

Judging by all the mediocre review I'm hearing about this game, I'd say that you weren't really impressed with this game. I mean if you're the one who likes to unlock everything, ne my guest, but you die-hard Kirby fans won't even bother right?

Reviewers' Tilt: 5/10

You didn't like it, I get it okay?

Final Verdict: Rental at best

This is probably worth a weekend rental, but die-hard fans, I mean die-hard fans, will want to buy this game. Enjoy...if you can.

Good: Lots of things to unlock, can be enjoyable if you give it a chance...

Bad: Over simplified gameplay, 'nuff said.

Now, I wasn't quite expecting this. Sure you use the stylus to control Kirby, but it's actually pretty easy...once you get the hang of it that is. Kirby Canvas Curse is the little puffball's first game on DS. The story, A witch come out of nowhere and transforms our hero into a ball! (dun-dun-duuuuuunnnnn!) Anywhom, you've got to use your stylus to get Kirby in the right direction or out of trouble. Let's take a good look at the game shall we?

Gameplay: Perfect Score

Quite an inventive control scheme. You use your wand and draw a path for Kirby to follow. Tap enemies to stun them long enough for Kirby to get rid of them, or take their abilities. You tap Kirby to use those abilities or the basic dash attack. It may take a while to get used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's really easy. Graphics: 9/10

It had a slight 3-D vibe to it, with a bit of the same ol' 2D graphics we know and love. The backgrounds are colorful, excellent even, and the character models are superb!

Sound: Perfect Score

I simply enjoyed the music. They were remixed versions of songs from previous titles. I think you'll enjoy the music, and the sound effects aren't bad either.

Value: 7/10

It's pretty good. You'll be tempted to try out the cool time attack and Ink attack modes. Ink attack( 'cause I forgot the name of that mode.) You must use as little ink as possible, so use some of Kirby's many other moves to help him out! You also earn medals to earn songs and sound effects for your music player and new characters to play as in Story mode: Metaknight, Triple D (King Dedede) and Metaknight.

Reviewers' Tilt: 8/10

I don't see why some people can't except a change to the Kirby series like this! I mean, it's actually good and it's not overrated. Also, it's about time there a different change to the series. Don't some of you remember Kirby Tilt 'n Tumble? You had to use your Gamboy Color and tilt it to move Kirby around.

Overall: Get it right now!

Kirby Canvas Curse is a step forward for the series, as well as a unique way of playing. All i have to say is not bad, not bad at all!

Kirby Canvas Curse: 8.8/10

Good: Unique way of playing, lots of fun, tons of stuff to unlock...

Bad: A bit too easy...once again...

Remember the good ol' days of Konami? Well, for those who don't, they were great in making games based on shows of the 1980-90s era. One of them being TMNT. Now the heroes on the half-shell are back in a brand new game, but it isn't the classic style you're thinking of.

Gameplay: 6/10

It's a mindless beat 'em up. You get to thugs, beat the crap out of them. You can't even throw them! And where are the specials they had back in the SNES, Genesis days? Has Konami lost their edge?!?

Graphics: 7/10

They are pretty good. Cell-shaded and all. But these people are right with this new look they gave the turtles, it's nasty. They look like they've been taking steroids and now, when they're called back on TV, they look like monstrosities....

Sound: 5/10

I really would've liked it if they had the original vibe and music that the SNES games had, it really could've helped....

Replay Value: 4/10

I don't think original TMNT fans will play this again, but to you newcomers to the series, you'll probably enjoy it.

Reviewer's Tilt: 5/10

I'm not seeing the best review about this game, but it's all right...

Final Verdict: Rental at best!

Might as well rent the game TMNT fans, I'll just wait for the movie to arrive. If that isn't any good, I'll watch the original 1990s version, which was awesome.

Good: Well, the graphics are a bit colorful, gameplay is okay...

Bad: Mindless beat 'em up madness, sound could've been a bit better. Next time Konami remake one of your original games for these systems. Character designs for turtles aren't cutesy anymore...

They're back and better than ever before. The Super Mario Bros. return in their first platformer in 13 years! And what do I have to say about this? It's on par with Super Mario 64. The plot is simple: Princess Peach is kidnapped by Bowser's son and Mario has to go out and save her. You go through eight worlds and fight against various foes, old and new. Of course, there are new moves for Mario and Luigi to use at their disposal. Of course, there are new power-ups. There's the mega mushroom which makes you King Kong size, and you can go on a rampage and crush anyone in your way. The mini-mushroom, making you Honey, I Shrunk the Kids tiny, making you squeeze through small openings. And the koopa shell, enabling you to dash and go inside the shell, making you the living koopa attack. Of course it isn't going to be that easy like other Mario games...okay it still is, but at least they challenge you in some parts! Of course you still get your classic power-ups from previous Mario titles. New Super Mario is a fun platformer. And stays true to its 2D roots, like its original games. You'll have a blast guaranteed!!!

Good: Classic platforming action.

Bad: I'm thinking....still thinking...

I admit it, Sonic has been losing his touch lately. With those games like Shadow the Hedgehog, I ain't complaining about any guns, but that just plain slows you down. Sonic Heroes I found to get plain boring, plain quick. Sonic Rush actually stayed true to the original Genesis roots. You play as good ol' Sonic and a new character, Blaze the cat. Yeah, it feels like some renewed version of Sonic and Knuckles, but its good trust me...

Gameplay 8/10

Actually, it was classic Sonic action, with a small touch of Sonic Adventure during the boss battles. I also admit, it's really fast, and you'll be running into enemies from time to time, but I've gotten used to this by now. Also, the Blaze the cat story is hard. But let's not forget how challenging Knuckles' story was back in the game Sonic and Knuckles. You couldn't even defeat the boss from Zone 6 Act 1 if I remember, because he has the shortest jump. So when I start hearing a bunch of punks, reviewing this Sonic game as too hard for Blaze's storyline, I don't wanna hear it! Oh, yeah I also didn't like that boost system...Using spin dash uses energy, guess Sonic Team wanted to give people more of a challenge...And that's another thing. I'm sick and tired of hearing people complain about how Sonic games are too easy (Classic Genesis titles) then when they release a challenging one, people give it low ratings, complaining that it's too hard, I mean c'mon!!!

Graphics 10/10

Actually the graphics were pretty good. They were along the lines of New Super Mario Bros. and the backgrounds were lush and colorful.

Sound 9/10

Great music...all that stuff

Replay Value 7/10

Alright, unless you want the secret ending, go crazy and collect those emeralds for that extra zone. Go ahead and unlock everything. Oh, and if you're a diehard Sonic fan, go crazy and play it again.

Tilt: 9/10

Not bad, I would say

Final Verdict: Go buy it

I really don't care. It's a good Sonic game, Sonic and Knuckles style, I think it could've used at least an extra character or two, but it's still okay. Have fun!

Good: Challenging gameplay in Blaze's storyline. Recommended to Sonic fans who didn't find a worthy challenge with previous titles...good ol' fashioned Sonic gameplay.

Bad: You're running blind (Meaning you'll run into enemies from time to time) Could've been a bit longer...

When I bought my DS during a boxing day sale at Future Shop, I decided to get this little game to start it off. I was pretty impressed. Kirby Squeak Squad is the pink puffball's second DS game. The story is kind of ridiculous: Kirby's strawberry shortcake has been stolen and thinks that King Dedede might have something to do with this, thus he goes on his latest adventure. As you progress however, you soon discover that you have a few new enemies to deal with: The Squeaks, a gang of thieves who steal treasure chests. You travel through eight different worlds each with five levels and a boss to deal with at the end. This is probably Kirby's longest game to date, but alas, the game is far too easy. You will probably finish this in a day possibly even less. If Nintendo and Hal laboratory made this more challenging, then this would be a tough Kirby game and would probably take you longer.

Anyways, each level excluding the first two, has you finding chests, two small chests and a big chest. Here's the catch: The Squeaks are dying to have the big chest you obtain in each level and you'll have to either try to defeat them, get to the goal door, or if they manage to get your big treasure chest, go into their hideout and face them to get it back. Once you reach the goal door, you get to open the three chests you obtained which could have, a medal for a special surprise, spray paint, muic, sound effects, boss badges (To unlock the traditional boss endurance), artwork, star pieces, or scrolls to get new attacks for the copy abilities. The main thing bout this game however is the mix and match system. Other than Kirby's new copy abilities, this system makes you mix two different copy abilities together to create a new one (Once you get the sword scroll, you can mix fire, ice or thunder with the sword ability to make a new elemental sword). And some copy abilities have an effect on the enviroment (Try using fire in the grasslands or woods, or freezing lava with the ice ability, maybe even try turning the ground into an electric circuit that harms grounded enemies in water or in factories even thunder clouds). The mini-games are enjyable and unique too.

Kirby Squeak Squad is a fun little title, that, thanks to the new copy ability system, makes Kirby fans squeal with joy, even you non-Kirby-fans out there. Though not as good as Canvas Curse, Squeak Squad will impress you thanks to its mix and match system, chanllenging bosses and fun mini-games.

Kirby Squeak Squad gets an 7.9/10

Good: Longer than other Kirby games, fun sub-games, collecting all 120 chests can be challenging and so are the bosses.

Bad: Too easy.

This game has its ups and downs. We'll I'll like to say that i like this game, better than the other versions.Scoring here is harder, and Goalkeepers are way damn better.Shooting from real far doesnt always offer a goal(like the versions do)and thats a good thing, plus in the other versions, you can almost say that when your using a big club, and shoot from far,it can garrantee you that it would be 80% goal 10% goalie block 10&you miss. Here nope, its just better. It doesnt always gurantee you a goal.manager mode her is waay better than the other versions too.Anyway, what sucks about this game is that there is only like 6 leagues, which sucks becasue the other versions have like 32.When your on 1-1 with the goalkeeper, its better here, also when you take out the keeper to kick a ball. This game is better it rocks,i reccomend it.Oh and commentery sucks here too.

Okay, I decided to rent this game, and I was quite impressed with this version. The Wii version used the motion sensor technology, this uses the analog stick and bottom shoulder buttons. Okay now before you go saying 'This game is gonna be crap.' There are a few good things about this version. For one I was impressed about how they managed to take full advantage of the two main analog sticks. Other than Ape Escape, this game did a good job with that. Another thing is the graphics, not the best, but enough to grab your attention. And the mini-games in particular were a whole lot of fun. And I have a few things to say about Gamespot's review (Just correcting them a bit). One, the introduction's in there, I started Story mode and immediately the little introduction popped up with Rayman and the baby Globoxes. Two, that grabbing mechanic wasn't nixed. You just press the square button to grab the darn bunny and press it again to send him flying into other enemies( I guess no one reads the rules and controls anymore...but who does anyway?). Anyway the thing that will really make you buy this game is its good sense of humor. Never have I played a funnier game than Rayman Raving Rabbids. Their war cries and screams and little frantic antics will possibly leave you crawling on the floor in laughter.
However the game has its downsides. Some of the games were a bit unresponsive at times (Bunnies are over-sensitive for example) and that dancing mini-game can be easy at times, especially if you're the kind that can easily find the beat of the music. Oh, and you people who hate those games that look retarded and kiddy like this one may wanna stay from this title. Also not all the mini-games you find and play will be entertaining and fun. That one where you had to put the picture back in order as best as you can may get some a bit frustrated.
Yet, my favorite part in the game was where you got to customize your own Rayman. In story mode, you can unlock costumes and songs by beating all four of the qualification rounds. So you can have the head of a gangsta, the body of the DJ, the shoes of a gothic and rock n' roll sunglasses. This game is great for parties. I don't really know how this game got a 7.1 out of 10 but that's Gamespot's opinion. Either way I recommend this to any game player( except the ones who hate retarded kiddy games).

I give this a 9.0/10

Good: Fun mini-games, a good sense of humor, being able to customize your own Rayman

Bad: Not all the mini-games are fun, a bit unresponsive at times for at least one or two mini-games...people who think this game is retarded and kiddy won't like you playing this in the house

Sonic Riders is Sonic's latest entry in the popular Sonic Franchise....and it's not half bad either. 3 new characters are introduced: Jet, Storm, and Wave, three Babylonians who wield floating boards called extreme gear. A new tournament has been announced by Eggman and Sonic and his buddies are determined to win the tournament and show their new rivals a lesson! You start off with six characters Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Jet, Storm and Wave but as you progress through the game, more characters will become playable including three from different Sega games( You'll have to find out yourself!). The controls are hard to learn at first and can be a frustrating experience, but surprisingly, once you get the hang of it, you'll have an enjoyable time. There's one thing that annoyed me and will probably annoy you too if you consider buying it: The air metre! That annoying little bar increases with the rings you collect and can be used to do attacks to slow down your opponents, tornados if the opponents are in point blank range of attacking you and taking hard turns even consumes air! You can regain air by doing tricks or collecting power-ups. The graphics have improved very well. Anyways once you run out of air you'll be forced to go on foot to either an air pit, a power-up box which produces air, or a trick ramp(really slows you down, really annoying). The mission mode is pretty good but some missions seem impossible(i.e. keep your speed over 140, make it to the finish line with at least half your air etc.). Either way, Sonic Riders can still prove to be fun but some are saying Sonic is losing his edge. Sega, Next time how about you make a new Sonic platformer with the Sonic Riders graphics and good gameplay mechanics? Either way you'll have a blast!

Good: Nice Storyline, good quality graphics improve over Sonic Heroes on PS2, Good selection of characters.

Bad: Not-so easy to learn controls, mission mode needs to be a little easier. Do any of you hate the Sonic X voice cast?

Okay, I was quite disappointed with the first one on Gamecube, but this one is a whole lot different! Naruto Ultimate Ninja is the first fighting game on Playstation 2. There are 6-7 different modes: Scenario(In which you play as your favorite character.), Mission(You perform missions and earn money!), Practice(Recommended for beginners new to the fighting genre), Free Battle(Duke it out mano a mano with a computer or a friend). Naruto's House( View things you've earned from the shop and change settings) and of course the Shop( Description isn't necessary here.). After telling you all this, you might think this is a bit like Budokai...you're correct. It's almost identical to DragonBall Z Budokai except for using a few of their specials. You press triangle 1-3 times and whack the opponent and you must very quickly press the buttons that appear on your side of the screen. If you do this special succesfully, you can go on to the next screen to perform a different attack. If you do this a third or second time, you can do Critical Damage to your opponent. Becareful though! The cpu or your friend can do the same as you and use their special and even reduce the damage of your specials! The cpu holds a pretty good fight which will probably leave an experienced fighter trying 2-3 times to beat the stuffing out of him. The graphics are manga style and this will prove to be a nice Budokai clone for Naruto fans alike. Even someone who hasn't even heard of Naruto will have a real kick out of this.

Good: Cpu holds a good challenge, Budokai clone done very well, challenging missions

Bad: Wha-?!

Garfield, the laziest most sarcastic fat cat, has made a game you'll enjoy. In Garfield Caught in the Act, Garfield accidentally breaks the TV, he manages to fix it before Jon finds out, but when he throws some loose cables, they come to life and transport him into the TV. You'll have to procceed through 6-7 levels to return home in time for Garfield's cat nap. When you go into a level, Garfield gets a change in clothing(Garfield gets an Egyptian hat in the level The Curse of Cleofatra). When the level is beaten, you'll be able to go through a bonus level for a life or continue. The game is fairly short, but the boss challenges are pretty tough. Overall, Garfield Caught in The Act is the kind of game that will please a younger audience. Fans of the fat cat will also want to try this out.

Megaman powered up is a great, fun game which provides a lot of things to make things even interesting. If you want to play the adventure mode, then you have to choices, the New style, which is the newer version of the old one which is action packed with a lot of new things, and the old style mode, which is an exact remake of the first megaman, but of course with the newer graphics.Im just starting with the choices the game provides because then comes challenge mode. After you unlock character by character in New style mode, you can also use them to play in challenge mode, which contains fun things to do,and hard ones too.then comes the construction mode, which i thing is the best option of all.You can create and design youre own levels, making them as whatever you'd like.If you play Normal or hard mode on New style gameplay mode, you can unlock more constructing things, this makes the game funner.but in the end if youre looking for a good psp gamewhich contains adventure and challenges, then im sure Megaman Powered up is the thing for you!

Crash Bandicoot! Yes, we all know and love him on Playstation. This was his farwell Playstation parade by making a fun Mario Party clone called Crash Bash. The story is quite simple: Aku Aku and Uka Uka want to see which side is better so they have a competition. The adventure mode is great. Tons of mini-games like on foot battling, a gain the most points on your pogo stick game, Tank war and a annoying racing game(Which will get on your nerves due to the control scheme). You get to pick a selection of Crash characters from the Crash universe but there could be more you know? You'll really have a party if you have 3 more friends over. This game should appeal to a younger audience or even some teens to adults. The music is good and everything. Pick this game up, other than the annoying race game and limited characters, this game should be fun

Good: Fun mini-games, great multi-player

Bad: Annoying Race game and limited characters

Thi game really improves over the second! The camera problem is fixed! It takes place after the first one, I'm not going to spoil the beginning for anyone! Anyways....gameplay mechanics are greatly improved! New battle system really takes things to the next level! New characters too and the return of some old ones. However there's just one flaw I must tell you: Don't play this unless you've played the first one. You'll be completetly lost if you haven't, even with the flash backs. Overall this should appeal to anyone and even a cameo appearance of Jack Sparrow and other characters from other disney movies. But don't play it if you haven't played the first one. Got it? Good. Now go get the first one, beat it then play this one then you'll understand it!

(Hey it's only a recommendation go play it if you want)
