Blades of time is a Hack and Slash game produced by Konami, you play the role of Ayumi, a sexy treasure hunter. If you are a follower of this kind of games you may know X-Blades, featuring the treasure hunter Ayumi, with poor graphics, story and gameplay made this a really bad game. Unlike X-Blades, Blades of time features awesome graphics, beautiful action combos, a vast number of swords and equipment, extra costumes, powerful bosses, lot of game actions (Dash, counter attacks, finishing moves) plus other surprises. This game difficulty can be overwhelming at some points, this will test your skills for sure, also there is an online mode available with lots of things to unlock. In overreal this game deserves more than a 6.0, it´s a pretty good game with many things to enjoy, i totally recommend it.

First off, I have to say this has improved from it's last game. The regular Ninja Gaiden for Xbox. The controls are easy to get use to, and most of the time you'll have to do multiple attacks to different foes to process through the game. You'll learn new moves and techniques by picking up scrolls through out the game, as well as new power attacks and you can up grade them as well. There's also many different types of weapons you can use, making the game more in depth and more versatile. The graphics are nearly flawless in every way, making the Xbox get pushed to it's limit. You can tell that the creators of the game, put lots of effort into making this game very difficult. And, you'll find that each difficulty that you beat, gets much harder after you beaten the one you just completed. Which attracts many hardcore gamers to play this game. Just try the difficulty called "Master Ninja" you'll understand what I'm talking about, when you try that. This game also has a ton of replay value. From different costumes, and new game modes, you'll find yourself entertained for a long time. I don't want to give anything away to you of what exactly you'll unlock, but you will enjoy every bit of challenge that awaits you. I highly recommend this game if you want a challenge for the ages and you want to accomplish a game that most people couldn't do. You'll love every minute of it.

This game is simply amazing from start to finish. You will use every inch of Snake's stealth to get pass guards and other various challenges that will leave you breathless through out the game. Snake has a variety of different weapons at his disposal. However, the most important one, would probably be his way of sneaking up on people without them knowing. That is your best bet to get through the levels. The voice acting is breathtaking. You can tell that the creators took the extra effort into every character when came done to this. The graphics pushes the PS2 to it's limit, with great cut scenes, and marvelous display of different landscapes. The controls are easy to grasp, if you haven't played any of the Metal Gear Solid series. So, you shouldn't have a problem with that at all. There's much replay value in this game as well, giving you the opportunity to receive secret items that you weren't able to get through your first run through. All in all, this game is remarkable. And, should definitely not be missed to play. Not to mention it is extremely cheap to buy now. I hope you'll take the time to get this, you'll be wanting more after your finish with it.

This game is a great start for any RPG player. You have to appreciate the hard work and detail put in this game. The Unique characters in the game makes you really fall in love with all it's has to offer. Many of the characters have there own different types of spells and promotion classes. However, you do meet some characters through out the story that share the same qualities. For example, the wizard. There's many things to do as well, side quests to receive different weapons for certain characters. You can also gain certain items like the Mythril to make stronger weapons. It becomes very addicting trying to find all the Mythril so you can have all your weapons in the best of conditions. The type of battle system used in this game is turn-based. Kind of similar to some of the Final Fantasy series. For each character you have spaces you can move to. Kind of like chess pieces. Some characters can move in more spaces then others. You receive items at certain parts of the game that can help enhance your space moves. So, it can get really in depth and tactical deciding which people you would like to have more freedom to move then others. You get stronger as you defeat enemies and bosses through out the story. There's many characters to get in this game as well. And, you'll find your self playing this game a couple of times, just trying to get all of the characters in the game and seeing what they can do in battle. The story line begins with a King that gets taken over by a bad spirit that's been hiding away for centuries. It's get more interesting through out the game, making you become somewhat attached to it till the end.

I rate this game a 10. The creators weren't afraid to take chances and make a very unique style of play that now final fantasy tactics use. Not to mention this is one of the first and only RPG titles for Sega console. I highly recommend trying to find this game online. Since it's a very rare game to find it at a local hobby store. It's much easier going on Ebay or Amazon to buy. If your interested in getting a old school RPG, this is the #1 game. You'll love it from the beginning to the end!

I liked it. Pretty good game play and replay value. Truly enjoyed it. It's amazing how this series continues to amaze me with it's quality of in depth value of searching through cities. I hope they continue to make more of these titles, the creators prove that you can actually have a good series of titles consistently without boring or being repetitive with the same ways that made the games successful. I also like the voices in the game. You can tell they put a lot of effort into each and every series that they made. It makes me want to repeat the talk again I had with a random person in the game, it sounds beautiful. Be patient with some of the tasks that are given to you through out the game. Sometimes it can be very tough at times if your an average player that is just starting. Patience is key, but you'll feel more gratifying once you accomplish the missions. Which it makes it much more sweeter beating the game and all the missions. I highly recommend getting this game as well as the others, if you truly enjoy a unique experience.

Be prepared to play the best Naruto game to date, a great game that fans or no fans of the anime will love. The story begins with the arrival of Naruto to the Hidden leaf village after having trained for three years with Jiraiya, to the total destruction of the hidden leaf . The game features the ultimate adventure mode, which recreates a brief history of the Shippuden saga, Free Battle mode, online mode and options. You might wonder, how many scenarios have, how many characters? I'm sure that if you are seeing this review it means that you are really interested, so you maybe had already seen many videos and pictures of the game, anyway, I will answer these questions, the game has 23 stages and 42 characters (plus some other secrets, which are not really extra characters, you'll see). The game has many things to do, missions, requests, make friends, search for things, and so on. Many things to collect, music, memories, ultimate jutsu, boss battle scenes, ninja info cards, titles, etc. .. with 51 trophies to obtain, you'll be very bussy for a while. With great visuals, great music, original japanese voices, all the shippuden characters, lot of places to battle, online mode, lot of stuff to discover and epic boss battles makes Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 an excellent game where you will experience great moments of joy and fun, do not think it too much!, go now to your nearest gamestore and buy the game, you will not regret it, believe it!!

This game is very good, although it's ONLY for play online it offers great moments of fun and sometimes frustration, has several scenarios to play, lots of weapons and vehicles, many game modes and tons of items to unlock, You can also buy items for the game from the playstation store. To fully enjoy this game is recommended to have an ethernet connection because it is much more stable, also you can play if you have a wireless connection, but have more risk of disconnection and lose your game (I say this because it happened to me a few times). You will face death with up to 32 simultaneous players, at first it may seem dificult because they will kill you almost starting out and you wont know who was the #$%&, but over time and some hours of practice you'll able to control vehicles (tanks, trucks, planes, jets, etc. ..) and weapons (flamethrower, guns, knives, sniper, pumps, etc. ..) and you'll use them at the right time. It is certainly a great multiplayer game that will give you great moments of fun and joy when you kill your enemies.

This game is simply amazing, from the first time I saw the trailer, I knew I had to have this game, I played devil may cry 4 and it was good, I completed god of war 3 and it was good, but I played Bayonetta and I was surprised, by far exceeded my expectations, this game has different things that make it one of the best games beat 'em up of history, great graphics, music, extra options, different modes of difficulty, good characters, variety of weapons and accessories, visual awesome, epic bosses, lots of combos, special missions, things to discover and more! although completed the game leaves you little time to play later, but the fact of passing in a short time does not affect anything really, that because all games of this type are of short duration, not to mention god of war 3 that I completed it in less than 7 hours, or devil may cry 4 in less than 8. Another thing I liked was that you can transform into animals, the best is when you have the ability to transform into a panther, that seems like Amaterasu from Okami game for PS2, you can also transform into a crow and bat, yeah, very very good!!. I highly recommend this game to all players who like this kind of games, and not too likely spend great moments of fun... Bayonetta, one of the best games ever!!

The sequel to Street Fighter 4 brings improved features that make you experience the true thrill of the fights, with new characters, new game modes and an extensive on-line role. The classic bonus of destroying the car and break the barrels returns. Something that disappointed me was that there isn't any fighter to unlock, all characters are available from the beginning, which removes one of the great challenges of the game and interest for many gamers. Completing the game 100% would be almost impossible, making complicated combos, only the fact to complete the challenges of each character becomes quite frustrating because achieving them all would need to have superhuman reflexes, the online mode is still further complicated, eventualy you get to take on players who leave their life to play games, which makes them too difficult to overcome. If you like to play with a friend and not have the need to complete the 100? this game is for you. Pick this game is you like really hard challenges, but remember, it's frustrating!

The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon may seem to many to be a bad game with a lot of negatives, but it is really a great game that deserves to be played and then to talk about. This game may not be as good as those of the playstation, this is partly because this game was in charge of a new company, which change the gameplay in some way, but also added new features that made it very playable, as the option to fly anytime, anywhere. It has good graphics, sound and large fields, now you can equip your dragon friend and his companion with accessories with different abilities. for the first time you can play cooperatively with a friend to explore this great universe and defeat the evil malefor, creator of destruction. Unfortunately this game is too short, it will be fully completed in less than ten hours, and since it does not support trophies after the game the gameplay is boring and has no case, only if you're a big fan and I like to pass it over and again. Despite all the comments this game is good and you'll spend a few hours of fun with the most famous purple dragon.

Guitar hero: world tour or Guitar hero 4 is the first game introducing a whole band to rock n' roll, featuring the special guitar witn an additional 5 colour buttons, used to play the new notes, no struming, no playing the last note, just touch the sensitive buttons. Although not as good as its predecessor, is a nice addition to the guitar hero series. The difference in this game is that the list of songs is much more recent, new elements in the battle mode, the option to create your own rocker and make your own songs. Something bad is definitely the option to play online, although you can play one against one, two against two or even band against band, the players online are really few and can thwart your intention to kick some ass online. A lot of songs to choose from several game modes and a good multiplayer make this game a great option if you're a faithful follower of guitar hero.

While it's one of the bestselling games of all time Kingdom Hearts has failed -at least on the western mind- to be recognized as one of the best games of the history of games. I won't waste time writing things you probably already know; I want to focus on supporting that idea.

While the franchise is now huge, Kingdom Hearts was at first misjudged by it's content and it was later greatly overshadowed by it's sequel. Though in Japan it was regarded as one of the best games on all time, these two factors kept it from receiving the attention it truly deserved. For a lot of people here KH never went farther than being just a fancy novelty item.

Later came KH2 which made the gameplay more accessible, upgraded the graphics, and provided stunning battle sequences. No wonder many tried 2 and never played the first entry. But while KH1 was an unique gem, when KH2 was released, the title had become well... a franchise.

As you probably know you play as Sora who has to travel through different worlds in search of his friends. These worlds are home of the most iconic Disney characters which you will come to aid -somewhat collaterally- while pursuing you quest. Disney characters never get seriously involved on the main plot and they are never annoying, in fact I found myself enjoying worlds of characters I didn't particularly like on the big screen it's really feels like a path through childhood. In addition to them Final Fantasy characters pop up now and then, which is a big plus for anyone familiar with the franchise, but don't worry if you aren't, because as with the Disney characters they don't really affect the story.

The thing that really makes KH stand out is that it was first RPG to elegantly blend role playing with the action genre. This feat may not seem so incredible in retrospective but I assure you the mix of the two genres has always been a delicate matter. There haven't been so few real-time JRPGs for no reason, there have been many attempts to blend the genres but most of them were partially combinations that sacrificed some aspects of either genre or games that just failed to sell. I'm not exaggerating when I say that while Super Mario Bros. set the basis for modern platformers, Kingdom Hearts invented real time role playing.

The phrase "It's more than the sum of it's parts" was never more fitting, in overall the game is fantastic, really really good, that's why I gave it an 8 but when dissecting it, minor problems arise, mainly with the basics; some there are some rough edges.

These issues are most noticeable on the gameplay, even moving the character doesn't feel completely right. Those things and the many bugs it has lead us to believe that they either went out of budget before time or the release date was a bit hurried.

I suppose everyone has now heard the phrase "is GTA in the far west" well actually this phrase is very fitting to the title. Regarding this I would like to share that I felt missing the sense of character growth that made us love GTA, not in character or personality but in you know becoming the "Capo", maybe it's just my way of saying that I felt the Reputation system (or however it was called) wasn't enough to convey the feeling of improvement.

Don't be taken by the size of my review, there is no point of covering things the official reviews have already written about. I'm tried to talk a bit about the few things they didn't.

Concluding, Red Dead is a very, very good game, with very good voice acting, very good gameplay and a well put plot.
While nothing exceeds very good, it's definitely a serious improvement for the open world genre and giving it anything below 8 would be an insult. I'm usually very absolutist regarding quality but in this one I think it comes to each one's tastes. If you like open worlds and shooters it's definitely worth a try.

Wed, 07 Jul 2010 10:07:38 -0700 Lisandro_v22 reviewed ModNation Racers for the PlayStation 3... http://www.gamespot.com/modnation-racers/user-reviews/727895/platform/ps3/ ...and gave it a 9.5!

Mod Nation Racers is an amazing Kart Racing game, probably one of the best ever created. Every aspect MNR beats any other title of the genre; it has a really really tight gameplay and if that wasn't enough it comes with an amazing level creator.

I think this is something everyone needs reassurance of: the level creator is incredibly straightforward, once you get the hang on it you can make anything you want in less than 30 minutes. Even so I find myself spending like 5 hours making a track only for my perfectionism.

I have to admit that I never played a "firsty" as close to perfection as this one, it's an incredible feat to pull off such an incredible and flawless game in the first attempt.

I think It's impossible not to draw comparitions with LBP. Obviously MNR owns to LBP but though they are two completely different games and this might seem an stupid comparition I have to admit I been enjoying more this one. Also while LBP was perfect there were some problems with the camera and the gameplay completely forgivable in such an amazing game but MNR -again- doesn't have any of the such.

The /10 scoring system forces me to give it a 9.5 but for the record with some extra modes added and loadings shortened this would be a masterpiece, one of the two or three gems each decade that deserve a perfect 10.

Wed, 07 Jul 2010 08:40:06 -0700 Lisandro_v22 reviewed Star Ocean: The Last Hope International for the PlayStation 3... http://www.gamespot.com/star-ocean-the-last-hope/user-reviews/727886/platform/ps3/ ...and gave it a 5.0.

This is the first Star Ocean I have ever played and it hasn't left me with a high opinion of the series. My impression after playing it is that it's just the dumb brother of the Tales series but it's probably just this title. In retrospective I think the game seemed so promising because of it's resemblance to Tales.

I don't see a reason to waste my time writing an intrincate review of the title, I think the game can be easily described with one word: awful.

The story is very trite, it seems written by a 5 years old, the dialogues are as good as the story and the gameplay fails in execution because of some bad design ideas which break the feeling of action.
Level design is very very bland which makes traveling through enviroments quite a drag and the characters, the cutscenes and even the menus are awful too.

Overall: It's a bland forgettable RPG It's not very fun to play which can sometimes be excused with a good story but cutscenes and dialogues are irritating in a Flanders kind of why though obviously without any of the eloquency of the Simpsons.

If you like me thought you could bear anything for the opportunity to play another traditional JRPG, forget it. This one is beyond all bearing.
