I have totally beaten this game today. I collected all medals and trophies, beat it on all difficulties and am here to tell you what to look out for.

First off, play the game on normal and just get through the story before you go treasure hunting or medal winning. Some medals will be rewarded just through normal game play. The story's a nice one too. Kind of old world mixed with the modern. The main character makes occasional jokes about situations, but none really annoying.

Secondly, take breaks as this game can be considered short by most. I didn't even realize how far I got when I was first playing it. I ended up doing about 11 chapters and I played it for about 3 hours or so. But it has great replay value for medals and trophies.

Lastly, be prepared to get mad. Gamespot's right gunfights in this. There are too many enemies sometimes. Shotgunners rush towards you, as well as others. You'll run out of ammo quickly, but aim for the head, cuz thats the quickest way to handle them. But on my Crushing playthrough, I found myself trying certain parts over and over again, some at least 15 times, just because they had to be stupid with how they setup fights.

Overall, I'd say get this game as its good for plenty playthroughs and trophies of course. I picked it up for trophies and just cuz I had nothing to play. I found it to be a hell of an experience and I'm glad I bought it, you will too.

I picked this game up mostly cuz of the art. I also heard it was an old school type point and click er, tap and....tap... I also picked it up cuz during the 1 o clock to 3 o clock period of the night when I wait for Red Eye to come on Fox News. Anyway the story is very big and Its like those mystery noir novels, movies. Kinda like the Maltese Falcon and its really worth playing once you get past the very slow pace. All the characters have some great personalities, especially Louis. The animations and the art is really great and its cool how you need to hold the DS like a book. The music is very catchy and i had to look up the soundtrack cuz I need to read some summer books for school, and that was part of the reason the game held my attention. There are some confusing puzzles and I kept having to go to the great guides on GAMEFAQS, plugged, to see what I needed to do. Get this game if you're bored and need something to occupy your attention, but if your not a big fan of long readings and puzzles, I wouldn't get it.

I really have nothing bad to say about this game except that it's short and it ends. Most of my love for this game is focused on the great graphics, great game play, great movie like storytelling and the wrap up of all the mysteries from previous games. This really is a perfect game. If only it was longer. Like 3 or 2 or 1 or just long in general. It's great though cuz you can replay it to collect the medals and stuff. It was has a great multiplayer experience and if you don't want to replay the game or just looking to fill the void in your gaming life, play that. I got addicted and you will too. Buy this game cuz you'll love it whether or not you played the previous games.

Oh and this game is the first to make me shed a tear and choke up. Raiden, Snake, Naomi, and the end (not the fact that it ends but what happens in the end). This game was great all these years and this just makes a big climax of greatness.

I beat this game in 2 days by doing like 3 missions a day, the game's really short. I'm glad I finished it as school starts soon, but that's not the point here. This game has some good moments and there's plenty of action here to keep you occupied. But as I've said the game's short and I'm glad cuz I was glad to get it done, but was still left empty afterward. I wished it was longer. Now, the AI for your teammate is good, but really dump and annoying at times. I mostly had a hard time aiming in this game. Bullets hit and spread funny and I ran out of ammo pretty quick as enemies don't die to easy. That was the most annoying part was unloading bullets and never hitting anybody and it made me die a plenty of times because of it. I borrowed this game from a friend cuz I had another that was looking to co op with me. But he never bought the game and its sad too because the game is really made for co op with a friend. Overall the game's worth playing. I thought the story was okay, although it didn't surprise me of what happened. I love gun customization, although i never got my guns pimped, cuz i generally didn't think they were. Anyway, good game, bad moments, ok fun.

Hack and slash games usually don't appeal to me because they tend to have clunky controls, boring game play and they usually depend on statistics. This game caught my eye because of its fluid controls and it seemed more action-oriented instead of the usual number game.

I've played Monster Hunter Freedom before and the controls were the biggest issue for me. Once you start a combo in that game, you can't change directions. In this game, you can attack a monster and when it starts to attack you back, you are able to jump/roll/sidestep away. Attack animations are quick so it is easy to dodge attacks.

Another thing I like about this game is how you're given the freedom to equip any secondary weapon(s) you want. I started to play as an archer and it was such trouble fighting groups of monsters up close, especially fast-moving ones. When I acquired a sword and a shield, I equipped them to give myself some close-range attacks. Secondary weapons also have different effects. 2-handed swords are able to stun enemies, dual daggers decrease their speed, and sword/shield combination knocks some of the enemies down.

Graphics are good. Another reviewer mentioned the short range of vision. Enemies appear when you're a certain distance away, but this isn't much of a problem because enemies are only found in rooms. You are free to run in the hallways because monsters don't appear there. Camera also seems to be a big issue for the PSP. It must be the lack of buttons or the awkward placement of the analog stick. I've found that the best way to control the camera is to face the direction I want to look and hold the right shoulder-button. Using the D-pad to control the camera during battles will only get you killed. Once you get the hang of it, it's not much of a bother.

My only gripe with the game is the lack of synthesis tutorials. You can synthesize items with your weapon which adds some numbers, but you are never told what the numbers represent. It's okay though, monsters are still fun to kill regardless.

Overall, this game is very fun and feels very solid unlike other hack and slash games I've played. I've never had to wonder why I'm lamely killing all these monsters because the battles are always fun. I rate this game a 9 out of 10.

Well I'll keep this short, there seems to be little need for me to elaborate on things that you probably already know. The heart of the game is found in career mode, which offers you a good deal of things you can do. Or more like attempt to do. At first your character will be absolutely horrible and you have to go through countless drills to make your character better. These drills are alright, but often more frustrating than fun. Then you can start participating and tournaments and watch yourself get mostly destroyed. You will slowly improve and then your career will end. With regard to the actual matches, they can be quite enjoyable. Except for the developers seem to have lost their focus from time to time. The single biggest mistake in the game, is that there is no option to keep the camera behind your player at all times. How the developers made a mistake of this magnitude amazes me. Besides that, the matches play fairly well, until you notice how much more momentum the computer gains than you do and how unresponsive the controls can be from time to time. The online play is decent, if you can find someone to play with.
On the plus side, the graphics are pretty good, the game is cheap ($20), and has some easy achievement points (if you are into that).

Well it was my first time playing FEAR. And it was great. I got into it...then I got out...due to bad sound and long load times. The sound is horrible. I couldn't understand anything anybody was saying. Its hard to be freaked out by footsteps that aren't yours, if you can't hear them, which takes away from the "fear" load times are really long. I was able to beat 4 rounds in street fighter on my psp just waiting for it to finish. I thought it was writing the level to the HDD, but it really isn't. The loading bar goes slow...stops...and then goes fast. The gameplay is sweet. Its intense and enemies like to kill and so do you. Sometimes they'll get your health really low so you have to duck and hide behind corners and all that fun stuff. But the shotgun, although its good, its only good when it hits the enemy. I can never seem to hit the enemy properly, but that just might be me. And my shotgun doesn't seem to do as much damage as the enemy's. Anyway apart from the wierd shotgun physics, the gameplay is great. The only other problem is the fact that i don't get a proper death screen...sometimes i would but, then sometimes it would go straight to loading...

The graphics. Won't spend too much time on these cuz well, the developers didn't either.

Multiplayer's nice. It has the same old type of modes that every multiplayer game has but they never get old

FEAR is great for horror lovers as there's plenty of it. Its good for those that like to be scared in that particular moment in time, and not later in bed when trying to go to sleep...

I couldn't seem to get into it. The story was dragged on though the cutscenes and it took forever to get to some action. I love the fighting engine but there was too little of it when there is some. I was able to actually get past the first part but then after a few towns and people, i got lost. I was hoping to get right into this game like i did with FF games but, I couldn't. Its ok if you can get into it, it has an interesting story, but it wasn't enough to keep me going. I agree with gamespot on how i had to fight to stay awake....and I did. I researched this game saw the graphics were cool, the gameplay looked cool and the story might be something i would have liked. But it wasn't, I was dissapointed because i had traded in 2 of my favorite games to get this one. It disappointed me.

First off I won't be biased towards this on how much it has improved since Deception...cuz I didn't play Deception. I'll just say how good it is for "Unchained"

Well theres only a few fighters on the PSP and this is the Second Greatest that I've played on it. Its a beefy game for a UMD with a bunch of Kontent to unlock if you're one of those people who have to get everything to successfully "beat" the game. The gameplay is Mortal Kombat, and like my title, what more could you say? Konquest is good for the adventurer, but the camera gets so wacky that it makes you think Shujinko has ADD. "ooh whats that?" The puzzle and chess games get addicting and are fun for the car trip and or bus ride. The graphics are about a high-medium for the fighting and minigames, but for the Konquest they're well...a low-high. And load times, this is something that they got right. They're bad and long. I got this UMD smudged from a trade. I cleaned it and...they were shorter than before, but they were still long. The computer got an unfair advantage cuz I got interested in the TV and forgot i was loading a game but thats do to another weird problem, the sound of the game. Its not very loud and I even have it turned up to the max, and even then it was loud. So play this game with headphones if you WANT to hear the sound. Its still good without hearing it though, as long as you pay attention!

Overall if you can wait out about-a-minute-long load times, you have some headphones, you like fighters, and you LOVE Mortal Kombat than this is for you. It has a good replay value for people that need something to play.

Guitar hero is one of the most loved games of all time in my home town. You talk to anyone and they can tell you right off what the hardest song they ever cleared was. The Xbox 360 version has tons of new songs with many available in the future which looks really exciting! I don't know about any of you but i have been dreaming about play "Dead!" by My Chemical Romance and rocking out that AMAZING guitar solo at the end as my friends drop their jaws to the floor like I am the reincarnate Bob Marley. This game really doesn't focus on graphics or presentation because that is not what it is really about. That is why i didn't weigh the those scores as heavy as the other categories.

This game is as fun as the previous versions, the challenges are tough, tons of unlockables, and some great fun.

Highly recommend this game.

The learning curve is steep, but once you get it down, you will be hooked.

This game gets you interested in really seeing what it is like to ride over 200 MPH on a superbike, and gives you respect for the people who do it for real.

The list of unlockables is unreal, bikes, riders, tracks, revred tracks, videos etc.

SOund is way better than it used to be, each bike has it's own sound, so you knwo what is coming up on you.

you should buy it. btw, it has bothe years: year 2005 and year 2006
;) i recommend it

Let me start off by saying yea this game has a few minor problems which consist of pop-in's and disconnections from the EA Servers but other than those 2 technical issue's the game is great. Sure Ghost Recon may be my favorite stealth or realistic shooter but until you play BF2 you won't feel complete. The game has GRAW beat in the online graphics department from the great structured levels, looking at the bullet holes put in the walls and ground, even player models look detailed and sharp. Not to mention looking at the weapons is like eye candy. I highly suggest turning all huds and screen off to play just with the weapon reticle. The game is like a cinematic beauty at that stage. Every soldier class is good and useful from the support soldier to assult. The feeling of being driven by a fellow teamate while you take control of the turret and watch his back until you get to your destination point the jumpout to use your rocket launcher on your shoulder blow up enemy tanks or vehicles is pure fun but nothing is more satisfy than blowing up an enemy Heli with a rocket launcher watching it explode to the floor. The power you feel in your player lets you know that no matter how high up or what weapon your packing everyone can be killed. Explosions such as those from grenades even feel better and more intense than GRAW. It feels like a mini nuclear explosion with the subtle wave over the explosion area. Sometimes your teamates can be a problem as everyone will rather want to wait around and get a helicopter instead of winning the match or hopping in a tank to quick get to the action so you can run and gun or take contol of a tank and blow sh!t up. Though sometimes it can be great if you surround yourself with good communicating players. Most players didn't talk my whole match but when I told them I need back-up at flag 3 all of a sudden I saw enemies collapsing and jeeps speeding in with teamates jumping out and my crew Heli flying over me... they didn't talk but certainly responded and that feeling is great and one you just don't get from other Live titles at the moment. Honestly I haven't played the campaign(single player offline) mode much and nor would I want to. The real fun is on Live and for a offline experience i'd rather play GRAW as the presentation of gameplay is a lot more orignal and gorgeous. If you've never play BF2 before or have been considering about jumping into the Xbox Live scene this is definitly the game to get as its ease of play allows anybody to jump in and play. Switching weapons on the fly is the best in any game so far in my opinion as all you do is hold RB and move the analog left, right,up, or down to switch to the appropiate weapon as opposed to GRAW where you eventually will have to use the scroll to pick what you want and make yourself very vulnerable. While I still intend to play my GRAW everyday so I can get some serious kills, climb them ranks and talk trash for my evil satisfaction I will also put in plenty of hours to BF2 for sheer fun, kick back and just looking to have a good time.

Ok i've played this game for a good 15 hours or so, and I can honestly say that I LOVE this game. This game is well worth the cheap 40 bucks. When I bought it, I was expecting a mediocre game with crappy controls. I only bought it cuz i love table tennis, I mean who doesn't? Rockstar has made many great violent video games in the past and a few good racing games too, but how good could a table tennis game from them be? The answer is pretty damn good.

Controls:
Wow, the controls are pretty damn solid and easy to learn. They were much more in depth that I anticipated. You can put Topspin on the ball using the A button. Rightspin pressing the B button. Leftspin with the X button. And Backspin using the Y button. If you use the left bumper while pressing any one of these other buttons, you make a "Soft Shot" which buts no power on the ball, making it barely fly over the net. You can also make a shot called a "Focus Shot" using the right bumper, and it pretty much goes into a slow motion matrix-like camera, which helps you concentrate on the shot and gives it more power. You can even charge your shots by holding whichever button you press to give it more power.
When you or your opponent hits the ball, it turns a certain color (red, yellow, blue, or green) which tells what button you hit the ball with (B,Y, X, or A) and you can counter the other persons shot by pressing the same color they did. Its pretty neat.
The serve is pretty good too and you can control how much power and spin each serve has. Every character seems well balanced and they all feel suprisingly different from each other which is a plus.

Graphics:
The graphics are pretty good. There really isnt much to look at in a ping pong game, but they are still stellar. The player models are very detailed and the environments look nice too. The ball physics is also amazing, it really acts like a real ball would.

Sound:
Oh I love the sound of a bouncing table tennis ball. The sound is really good, from the cround in the back cheering you on, to the ball being slapped with a paddle, to the techno music that appears when things get intense, its all pretty good.

Online and Vs:
Online is pretty stong, very fun and addicting and so is playing with a friend. No lag either when i played.

Lasting Appeal:
This game is very addicting and will make you want to not put your controller down. Playing against the computer is challenging and there are unlockables such as different players, courts, and clothing. The achievements are pretty cool. Everything in this game is very fast paced and will make you crave for more.

___________________________________________________________________________
Conclusion:
Overall, i would give this game a 9.1/10. It's very fun, addicting, and fast paced, but I really wish that there was some kind of carreer mode. There is a Tournament mode which doesnt take that long to blow through, but you can go through it multiple times with each character to unlock different things. There is also an Exhibition mode where you play one quick game agaisnt the computer or a friend, there is a training mode, which I highly recommend doing before you play. And then there is Live, which is amazing. The graphics are great, sound is great too, and the controls are AMAZING. The game is only 40 bucks which is a HUGE plus and is worth every penny. I highly recommend this game and I'm proud to add it to my collection.

Indigo Prophecy is truly one of the most captivating action/adventure games of all time. Sure, the game isn't as beautiful as others, but what is lacks in beauty it makes up for in game-play and story. You begin your role as Lucas Kane, one of four playable characters, just after he unwillingly murdered an unsuspecting victim. The "cinematic effect" in the game never fails to draw you into the story. Think of it as "playing" a movie, because that's exactly how it feels. One thing I have found in very few titles to date, is the ability for a game to create an emotional attachment to the involved characters. This game, for me anyway, has delivered this without a flaw. From a game-play perspective, this game delivers heart-pounding action that, in my opinion, is far above average compared to many current titles. Let me see... what's next? Ah yes, audio, one of my favorite aspects in video games. Audio is a very integral part of any title. It can immerse the player into the game world, so much so that a game without audio of some form would be very unappealing to most. Well, in this, the game once again does not disappoint. The ambiance supports the game very nicely, as well as deepening the immersion level. The sound effects are well done and have very little anomalies if any at all. Now, on to the visuals. While some today would dismiss this game simply because the graphics are heavily scripted, I can not help but think of how one, at that point, could enjoy movies as they are completely scripted and a passive entertainment medium. Yes, the animations are scripted, but lets not forget that the story is not. The story is extremely dynamic, every action you make affects the events that have yet to come. This adds not only a unique experience for the player, but a replay value that is seldom seen in single-player games today. For a final verdict I would rate this game at 9.0 for it's outstanding storyline and game-play. I also find it in my personal "top ten" of this genre. This concludes my review for Indigo Prophecy. Thank you for reading.

Sat, 12 Aug 2006 16:50:24 -0700 DeathStar17 reviewed From Russia With Love for the Xbox... http://www.gamespot.com/from-russia-with-love/user-reviews/351042/platform/xbox/ ...and gave it a 7.2.

GAMEPLAY: 007 From Russia with Love loosely follows the story of the movie, and it is mostly accurate, except for some various scenes and it has and alternate ending. You obviously play as Bond, and you go through various missions, with each having it’s own set of objectives. You can also upgrade your weapons as you go along, as well as find new weapons and costumes. 007 From Russia with Love does include driving missions, which I thought were fun, although the handling of the car is rather loose. The developers also added some jetpack scenes to the game, which turned out surprisingly well. The A.I. though, aren’t exactly geniuses, the multiplayer is a big letdown, and the game is pretty short. But with that said, I found the missions to be engaging and fun.

GRAPHICS: 007 From Russia with Love feels just like you are playing through the movie, with the fantastic character models and awesome locations. The graphics are very nice, but they do occasionally suffer from some slowdown. The atmosphere in 007 From Russia with Love is outstanding, and I have yet to see a game do a better job in the presentation aspect. The characters look almost identical to the real characters, and they even included things like how Sean Connery held his gun. Overall, the graphics and presentation are a huge boost to this game.

SOUND: 007 From Russia with Love also excels in this category, because of the well timed Bond music and the absolutely superb voice acting. Sean Connery does the voice of Bond, and they even got Natasha Bedingfield and Maria Menous to be characters in the game. The sound quality in 007 From Russia with Love also boosts the incredible presentation, and movie-like feel of the game.

VALUE: This is where 007 From Russia with Love has the most problems. It lacks good multiplayer (although it does have multiplayer), and has no online play. The single player is fun, and it will last you a decent amount of time. There are some unlockables, such as: Bonus levels, multiplayer characters, concept art, and some bonus videos. These things won’t last you forever, and many people may not even want to bother with most of it. Because of these things, 007 From Russia with Love is really only worth a rental, or maybe a buy if the price isn’t too bad.

TILT: I really enjoyed the single player of 007 From Russia with Love, and I think the game is just as good as the movie. 007 From Russia with Love is certainly a good rental, and it deserves to be played.

Sat, 12 Aug 2006 06:52:32 -0700 DeathStar17 reviewed Destroy All Humans! for the Xbox... http://www.gamespot.com/destroy-all-humans/user-reviews/350856/platform/xbox/ ...and gave it a 7.8.

GAMEPLAY: In Destroy All Humans you play as an alien whose job is to gather human DNA to help with the aliens cloning program, and to destroy all humans in a free roaming environment. You are given various tasks that involve quite a bit of mania and mayhem, from disguising yourself and fooling the townspeople to kidnapping a Majestic Agent. The missions are somewhat varied, but many of them just wind up as total obliteration missions. There are also some side missions, and some probes to collect along the way. You will also spend some time flying your saucer of death, which has a death ray, sonic boom, and an abducto-ray. Destroy All Humans is set in the 50’s, and communism is a huge theme throughout the game. Your character (Crypto 136) is often referred to as a commie, and most of your destructive deeds are blamed on communist activity. One of the coolest features of the game is that Crypto 136 can use mind powers to pick up people, cars and tanks, as well as hypnotizing people and extracting their DNA. You will also come across a small but upgradeable set of weapons for your destructive pleasure. Eventually, Destroy All Humans may feel repetitive, like many games of its kind.

GRAPHICS: The graphics suit the game well, and the explosion effects were quite nice. Destroy All Humans has nice feel, and the developers did a good job capturing the humor of that time period. When you probe people’s minds, many of there thoughts can be quite funny. (I am aware that humor isn’t exactly involved with graphics, but the graphics are part of the experience, and the graphics are a big part of the theme of the game.)

SOUND: The voice acting was well done, with all the voices sounding appropriate in their various roles. The actual music in the game is good, and the same applies for the in game sounds.

VALUE: This is where Destroy All Humans starts to fall a bit short, because it won’t last much over ten hours, if even that. And to make things worse there is no multiplayer, or really any replay value. Now that it only costs $20, it’s not such a bad deal, but it’s not worth paying any more than that. But, on the positive side, there are some extra bonus movies that you can unlock, which is cool.

TILT: Overall, Destroy All Humans is fun, but not very revolutionary. Most people will probably just enjoy playing through the game, and then moving on. Sure, it’s not perfect, but it’s still worth playing, so I suggest that you try playing it at least once, just to experience it for yourself.

ok i was pretty excited when i first got this. i thought it was pretty good, for the first part. after that the game just went downhill. after i unlocked dante, this game just got more frustrating and difficult. I have really bad mixed emotions about this game. it still was fun but i had to play the level at least 3 times before i could finally beat it. i couldn't see where i was, and the opponents made me feel like i was playing Final Fight, getting caught between 2 enemies. i played some trials, and played around with the vs cpu, but i still couldn't get used to all the confusion. overall, once i found myself, i was pretty good at it. after i beat the story mode, i said "never again" its good this game was only $20 because if higher, i would've felt ripped off. i'm going to rate this game by money value. $5 for confusion, 5 for frustration, 5 for where and wtf am i doing, and 5 for Dante. I liked the graphics, and the nice cartoon cutscenes, the gameplay was fun, but like i said you have to find yourself to play good.

Thu, 04 May 2006 16:30:16 -0700 DeathStar17 reviewed Mario Tennis for the Nintendo 64... http://www.gamespot.com/mario-tennis/user-reviews/308358/platform/n64/ ...and gave it a 8.6.

Mario Tennis is a classic tennis game for the N64. It utilizes the N64 and presents some crisp graphics, and backs it up with solid gameplay. You can play single player matches, tournaments, or pick a character and play the series of 3 tournaments, to try to earn a star for that player. And even once you’ve gotten a star for every player, you can go through a whole new set of tournaments. Mario Tennis only gets better in the multiplayer department, where you can play singles or doubles matches with or against your friends. Mario Tennis also takes advantage of the Mario license with quite a few characters, including: Donkey Kong, DK Jr., Mario, Wario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, Bowser, and many more. Mario Tennis also has some extra events you can play, and overall it can turn out to be quite a fun and addicting way to spend your time.
