Firstable Ubisoft & Sony made the best conferences this year. the rest were hella boring.

Best Games

6- Dishonored: The trailer didn't really excite me. but when I watched the demo I was really impressed on how you can play through missions with different ways (stealth, brutal,..) & the abilites, weapons you have in the game + the story could be really interesting.

dishonored-1.jpg

5- Injustice: Gods Among Us: I swear it's like a dream came true when I was like "How awesome would it be if the Mortal Kombat developers would make a DC universe or Marvel fighting game" and damn they were like listeing to me. gameplay looks absloutely fantastic and different and I'm sure they'll do the DC charcters justice in this one.

Injustice-Gods-Among-Us-Image-1-e1338521

4- Assassin's Creed III: As always epic trailer and a demo that makes you just wanna play it right now. the game looks amazing and sure a massive step up from Revelations which I didn't like much. and Conor looks like a real badass character (i'll be missing ezio so much though)

Assassins-Creed-3-Forest-Combat-Screensh

3- Tomb Raider: My favorite game series of all time. the game never lookd better story-wise, graphically, gameplay,... the bad thing is that I have to wait till March..

xl_se-tomb-raider-624-1.jpg

2- The Last of Us: Probs for Naughty Dog for their works man. I watched the demo several times without gettin' bored. and the moment when the guy's run out of ammo and the girl threw threw the brick at the enemy when he attacked. totally my favorite moment in the show.

10-3-610x343.jpg

1- Watch Dogs: Probably the star of the show. the game that came out of nowhere and damn how it looks so fantastic and the idea of it is just awesome. I'm sure Ubisoft will amaze with this one. be aware GTA V.

600px-WatchDogsHack2.jpg

Disappointments:

1- Dead Space 3: I have that fear that this one will be more of an action shooter game than a horror one. even if you have the option to play without co-op the word co-op alone in a horror game doesn't make it horror. we just shall wait and see

2- Resident Evil 6: Coming from a big big fan of the series. something about this game just doesn't deel right, I don't know but It was my most anticipated game of the year, now I'm just afraid the changes they took the game in might dissapoint. and the whole "hey we have all your favorite characters in the same game" might turn ugly. we also shall wait & see.

3- No "Gta V"

4- No "Mirror's Edge 2"

5- No "Tekken X Street Fighter"

6- No "The Last Guardian"

7- No "Beyond good & Evil 2"

'Why is Killzone series so underrated?'

Some of the best FPS out there and most gamers (COD-BF fanboys?) think its mediocre-good game or even bad.

Most of my gamer friends don't even know what Killzone is...

And what about the complaints? 'Input lag'? 'Sluggish controls'? What can you say... Something is different controls-regarded than what everyone plays so let's blame the developers.

ssssssssss

Anyway Killzone 2 and Killzone 3's Online is almost dead

So R.I.P.

Let's all go play Call of Duty and Battlefield...

I think so http://www.gamespot.com/users/dude63/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25982735 Its been awhile since i've posted a blog..or hell even been active on this site. I do browse the forums at gamefaqs(shared with GS) whenever I get a chance. All in all though I haven't been active at all. I haven't written a review lately..or done anything. So, I thought I would make a blog letting everyone know (or who cares) what ive been up to.

Lately ive been preoccupied with my job. I currently work at a Steel Stamping plant. I am the operator of a 2,000 ton press. We primarily manufacture parts for Semi trucks. These parts range from Fenders, corssmembers and grill surrounds. Our main customer is Freightliner we also stamp parts for Thomas Built Bus and the like. Its a decent job, oily..greasy. I am a temp..not hired in and have been working there as such for almost 2 years. We work at least 5 days a week 12 hour shifts. Overtime is offered as well when its there.

Im been off work for a week or two now because I have a torn muscle in my left arm. The result of a car crash which ended in my 97 blazer being totalled. Sucks for me ebcause no money is coming in right now and im unable to lift anything at all. When your job requires lifting of at least 40 pounds...its kinda hard justifying returning when I cannot even lift a chair with my arm. Sucks really. Apart from that heres what ive been playing.

Falllout New Vegas: Brilliant game, love it. Some inor bugs stand in the way but they are not game breaking

Neverdead: Surprised how fun this game is. Unique concept and I enjoy it a lot

Sniper Elite V2: Just picked this one up haven't opened it but I am finishing the original and I have played the demo. First impressions, Great game

Battlefield 3: My angst for COD is fullfilled with battlefield. This game proves why I love this franchise so much..and why COD is so boring IMO

FEAR 3: Very good next installment i nthe franchise that improves and expands on everything brought to the table. Ill still miss the gloomyness and mystery of the first one..but this one is no chump in the scary department.

Thats about all ive been doing ill post another blog soon highlighting what im looking forward to into the next year, and hopes for e3

(i s*** you not, that is exactly what happened to my car.)

okay, so we begin, this afternoon...

i get a call from my neighbor and he want's to buy some of those bamboo fence roll things, that roll out, and did i mention that they were fences, they roll out too (exciting) soooo...

he want's to atract panda's, but these damn jugalo's keep showing up.

i take my jeep over there, and we have to drive really far, and we don't want to go on the parkway because there is all this construction going on, so we take this really long route through all these towns, and we had to go over all these bridges..

but there is still road construction all over the place, so we see this detour, and it takes us around the part of the street that was already repaved, and the road is covered in dirt at this spot, and i see coming out of a drive way on the left, it's a red 97 subaru forrester (i know my cars) and she drives right into the side of my car....

and i was like FFFFFFF****************!!!

(mother f***er got me caught on the power lines)

and my car slides across the road, because of all the dirt the car can't grip properly. Which ended up saving the car from too much damage, but the two driver side doors are damaged and the rocker panel below, so i will have to get these replaced, and the passanger door on that side is bent..... but there is good news, the windows which i haven't been able to open for months, now magically the buttons work.

So, thank you woman who hit me, my windows now work.

so thank's for reading (unless you scrolled down to the bottom too see the review score.) (and i got the new playstation, and i find out that my 640gb hardrive that was in the old PS3 is also broken)

You know who you are. How's everybody's summer going?

Steamworks Summer Sale is spectacular as usual. Even though I have just about every game I ever wanted from these sales since Winter Solice Sale, it's always fun to watch people grab up new games and post their screenshots on the stickie. Be sure to check out other digital game download services out there (e.g. Amazon, GamersGate, GOG, Greenmangaming, and others).

I've hardly been gaming lately, but I have been plugging into F3AR here and there; playing in random spurts. A solid game.

Well, I'm off to do a little shopping (in this recession economy), no not really, just some shoes. Red Converse (chucks), low's. haha I've been meaning to buy them for the longest time.

Anyways, I gotta' head off to work and then my cousin's 23rd bday right after. I hope I don't get too drunk! Talk to you guys soon. Cheers!

Tue, 07 Dec 2010 23:32:59 -0800 MC9988 writes: The New Age Zombie http://www.gamespot.com/users/MC9988/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25890252 Has there been a drastic change in the portrayal of zombies since George Romero's "Night of the Living Dead"? As the fascination with zombies grows, so does the market. And as the market grows, it becomes increasingly difficult to change the idea of the zombie- basically, it needed change. Zombies can run now, they used to not be able to. And there are different forms, all with different arsenals. But besides the general media representation, we can see where zombies in video games have changed specifically.

1. Faster paced, more expansive gameplay

Whereas in Resident Evil, or house of the dead, zombie games have become less linear in gameplay and more expansive environmentally. With Resident Evil 4 and 5 we can see where drastic changes were made. Wider environments with more room to move around in, and also less of the small, stifled hallways stuffed with zombies. Left for Dead is also an example of taking the zombie genre and combining different core gameplay elements. This game is also made great because of the mass hordes and varying types of zombies. Also, the increase in movement speed in general for zombies has contributed to the situations becoming easily dire. In the new PSN title, "Dead Nation", the environments are highly detailed, and the gameplay is what shines through. Running to the streets in search for the checkpoint, sticking together and having a plan is what goes a long way in newer zombie games.

2. Story

No longer is it the intricate story of a mansion or a corrupt organization. It is about a couple soldiers in a shack hold up against swarms. It is of four lost people banding together to fight on and continue to live. Less focus has been on the story and more focus is on the zombie survival directly. This can keep players from getting too emotionally attached to their characters and focus more on the frenzied battles and strategy involved. Keeping those elements as the leading point in most shoot em up zombie games removes the risk of trite ideas that can sully the game experience. Yet, also there is innovation. With Siren: Blood Curse, you must defend yourself at all cost and do the opposite of mow down hordes of the undead. You must hide, and while simultaneously controlling your character keep your eye on the other half of the screen in which you are given a first person perspective of the creature chasing you. The fact that you can hear and be taken through the monsters damaged and quite unsettling thoughts as they look for you is terrifying. Having them hear you run past the hallway to your hiding spot is even worse. And even then, seeing the monster chasing you down and hiding in plain sight while they neglect to check the cupboard right next to them is jaw clenching goodness. Come on, change!

3. The "Traditional" Zombie

...Is extinct. There are so many forms of the zombie. I would say that in the Resident Evil Remake, the Crimson zombies really stood out for me as a change in how i viewed zombies. Here all along in the series I had been used to one type of zombie- slow, angry, and only a real danger when in packs or in a corner. Crimsons were fast, aggressive, and had a hell of a creepy way to stand up right after walking past them. They also had claws, and red skin (hence, crimson). In Resident Evil 4 and 5 we see change in the portrayal of zombies drastically. No more are they slow, but fast, aware, and ready for battle. Heads explode, tentacles protrude out of the neck, some huge guy wielding a huge axe is running towards you, and all the while you thought you had an idea of what zombies were supposed to be. Tsk, tsk. This example of change in the traditional zombie in video games reveals that the age old argument that zombies move slow is a subjective one. Then again, zombies itself are subjective. in "Siren: Blood Curse", the zombie type is one of vague and misplaced intelligence. What used to be love, turns to hate and rage. These rage filled creatures are but another example of the ever changing views of zombies and how to interpret them.

For better or for worse, we can see a shift in the gameplay and how zombies are portrayed by the industry. No more are zombie games slow and trudging, but more intense and rewarding. Subtracting certain over used elements and refreshing the genre in the appeal to the story, as well as the appeal to environmentally satiating worlds, and we have a new formula for a new age of zombies.

Man, i searched for hours for the last five or six and the last one was a pain! It was at the top of a giant globe on Shai-Gen territory, i had never bothered to climb up there and you could hardly see the orb from the roofs nearby! I´m so proud lol! I got 200 hidden orbs, dont think i´ll get the last 100, too bored! I wasnt going to bother with the green´s either, but i was missing just nine, so one day i was bored, started looking for them and soon it was an obsession lol! I´ll get the sequel one day, right now i´m too tired of it to even think about buying it though.

I also got 1000 GS on Assassin´s Creed II. What a great game. Wasnt a fan of the 1st one but this game is awesome. Great detail, nice locations, cool story, awesome weapons, just loved it! Only the 100 feathers were a bit of a pain but it was worth it. I ended up with 100% synch to Ezzio, i bought all the DLC and just did every mission, evertyhing there was to do! Assassin Tombs were so cool and the Templar Lairs were really fun!

I´m playing FEAR 2 right now. meh, not bad but not great either! Will go back to Dead Rising to try to get Frank to level 50 and the 53 thousand zombies achievement!

Waiting for my Kane and Lynch 2 copy to arrive! Good times!

It wasn't much of a suprise for me after how i felt about Dirt. But i'll always remember the good times i had when i was playin Colin McRae Rally 2.0.

After the frustration it was time to see what was Nate Drake doing these days. Naughty Dog might have been worked more than Nate as the multiplayer of Uncharted 2 looks awesome excepts some annoying thing caused by the players like you wait the player to either get the gold or die at gold rush when you die and it can take 10-15 minutes. Other than that, melee is really improved physics are better now, graphics are amazing at the nepal co-op map,the colors are just brilliant. ı'll be playin the mp beta till the game comes out thats for sure.

Finally, it was time to get WET for xbox.. The devs must have been feeling so cool as they tried to make the game cool but they failed so hard just like they did with their social life Graphics are outdated, physics are bad gameplay mechanics is buggy, can get you very, very mad. Also the sucky gameplay gets repetetive very quick. The main character Ruby, should have been a cool girl but i kinda her hate she is disgusting and probably mentally ill . With these all positive sides Wet is also very short, i played the game for 2 hours and im at chapter 7. Right now i feel so guilty for giving Stranglehold a 7.0

Right now i have my doubts about getting NFS:Shift,.. a demo would be really nice EA! But i'll probably stick with Uncharted 2 beta and few demos till November comes.
