As part of the agreement, EA will create new Star Wars titles for a "core gaming audience." These games will span "all interactive platforms" and "the most popular game genres." Disney, meanwhile, will retain rights to create new Star Wars games for mobile, social, tablet, and online markets.

"Every developer dreams of creating games for the Star Wars universe," EA Labels president Frank Gibeau said in a statement. "Three of our top studios will fulfill that dream, crafting epic adventures for Star Wars fans."

Battlefield studio DICE and Dead Space outfit Visceral Games are currently making new Star Wars games, joining BioWare, which will continue to support Star Wars: The Old Republic. The new games from DICE and Visceral will run on the Frostbite 3 engine.

"The new experiences we create may borrow from films, but the games will be entirely original with all new stories and gameplay," Gibeau said.

Financial terms of the EA-Disney deal were not disclosed. EA will report earnings tomorrow after market close, where more information about the deal is expected to be divulged.

The fate of Star Wars: 1313 and Star Wars: First Assault remains unclear.

Disney purchased the Star Wars brand last October for $4.05 billion.

honestly, with DICE and Visceral making Star Wars games, this is not a bad decision. now we can blow stuff up. here's hoping for a new Battlefront game.

Like so many Pokemon fans out there, I am one of the many who watched the anime when it first came to the US.I remember it clearly since it came out before Digimon and what got me hooked was the voices of the characters. Sure the pokemon were different and colorful, but the voice actors they chose really fit the characters right. Even though most of the episodes had an after achool feel to some of them, it was written well for a cartoon.

The saturday mornings I got up early to watch the new episodes even though my eyes burned after staying up. I did get into the card game and video games, but the series drew you in as you love the characters to death. Veronica Taylor as Ash Ketchum, Eric Stuart as Brock and James and Rachael Lillis as Misty were the gold standard. One moment that really got to me was the episode where they split apart and it still gets to me to this day.

I watched every episode and special from the first season to season eight where I believe the spark was lost. See during a podcast interview, Eric Stuart revealed that when Season 8 was done, new voice actors were already hired. The company figured they were saving thousands of dollars by hirng new voice actors instead of keeping the originals. See that greedy move right there is what made me stop watching the series, but I played the games though.

See I grew up with Veronica, Eric and Rachael as Ash, Brck and Misty in Pokemon and I hoped it would stay that way. When I watched the new episode of Season 9, I was heart broken when I heard them speak and that killed it for me. I know people get hired and fired, but the first eight seasons are the golden years of the tv series which is still going. It just doesn't feel the same and I can't bring myself to watch whatever or whereever Pokemon is now.

I know you're thinking I'm dumb for caring about this, but Pokemon can't recatch the spark it had when it started. Even though the tv series will keep going as long as people still watch it, FOR SHAME ON THOSE FOOLS!!!!!!!! For the podcast I mentioned, it is episode two of the AllTasteExplosion on Itunes, it's really good to listen to. No matter what the first eight seasons of the series are the best of Pokemon and nothing can change that!!!!

I will be using that account more often now than this one but don't get me wrong I won't leave this account (sonic__323) forever. Things happen and I apologize again for not being here that often, I been busy job hunting since community college was "too late" for me so I'll begin going there early January of next year hopefully. So far it's been a little tough for me since I haven't gotten any luck with getting a job. I'm still searching to this day since I don't want to stay home for the rest of the year. I'm taking it easy for now and btw I'm also on my Xbox 360 often and my gamertag is on my profile if you want to add me. (AimedRobert 323 <- for lazy ones haha)

So yeah that's all I have to say, track my new account (not forcing anyone here) but I'll be using that one from now on. Goodbye!

It is time for me to go. I have had a wonderful time on this website and met so many wonderful people here! I just feel that lately I don't have much to offer in the way of conversation, discussion, and with the next-gen approaching I will not be going along for the ride with any of the new systems/games coming out in the future so I won't be able to comment or discuss on those. I believe I'll be returning home to the old-school: Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, TurboGrafx-16, Sega Saturn, Nintendo 64, Playstation 1, Playstation 2, and Playstation 3. I feel that is where I belong.

My experience here has been a good one. To all of you I pray that God bless you and bestow upon you the very best in life. I thank you for sharing your ups and downs with me and letting me share my ups and downs with you. I was browsing through some of my old blogs and memories just started hitting me of times past. I browsed the forums and realized that there really isn't that much to talk about anymore (honestly how many more times can I answer the same questions?), but it has been fun!

Anyway, I think that's all I have to say about the matter. I thank you for reading my blogs, comments, reviews, I love you all in our Lord, Jesus Christ, and I hope you enjoy the video game you're playing. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Amen.

God Bless.

Back in 1997 I was in high school and I designed two Star Wars games (I just designed them, I didn't program anything, mind), one would have been a N64 game, a space combat simulator, I called it "Star Wars - Rogue Squadron", I even drew the control layout and I still have the project in a drawer. One year later Lucasarts came out with "Star Wars - Rogue Squadron", a N64 space combat simulator.

The other was a strategy game called "Star Wars - Supremacy", and sure enough, one year later Lucasarts published Star Wars Supremacy (SW Rebellion in the US).You can imagine my disbelief as I saw my ideas, which I kept to myself, being brought to life by the same company... twice in a year.

Of course they're just coincidences and nothing more, though it is pretty crazy if you think about it.

I just wish Lucasarts had kept stealing more of my boyhood ideas instead of doing... whatever they're doing now

Its been a while since there was actually a silent hill game worthy of its name, since most of the games after 3 didn't really feel like a silent hill game at all. 4 was a great game but it didn't even take place in silent hill...and it had ghosts. Homecoming was too action oriented and the storyline was forgettable. Shattered memories had absolutely no combat what so ever, and it had boring chase scenes and bad puzzles. And Origins did a good job but the cult part of the story was lame. But after all these unworthy SH games, we get Silent hill downpour, and trust me, this game is worth playing. But be warned, if you are not a fan of the series, you might have some trouble with this game.

The game is about Murphy Pendalton, and he is basically a prisoner stuck in silent hill for various reasons. I don't really wanna say that much about the story, because i don't wanna spoil any part of the story, but if you are expecting a good storyline, you gonna get one. Downpour's story is probably the best in the series(no joke). Also, this is a pretty challenging game, you can only wield one melee weapon at a time, and they break after a while. You can also find guns in this game, but its hard to find one and ammo is scarce. There are 6 endings in this game, and the secret ending is not a UFO ending, but if you are a fan of the series, you will definitely enjoy it.

Now let me explain the bad part of this game. There are alot of technical issues such as framerate drops, which kinda gets annoying sometimes. Combat is challenging, but to be honest it isn't that great, enemies can be pretty cheap sometimes. And also, the enemy design is...pretty bad. Probably the worst in the series. And this gmae doesn't really have any boss battles..except for one. This game is kinda made of fans of the series, if this is going to be your first SH game, you will probably have trouble with the combat, its pretty clunky. But if you are a SH fan, most of us are used to it. This game is not for casual players. I'm not trying to offend casuals, but if you are looking for a game where you just pick up and play, this game isn't for you.

In the end, this game is flawed, but it is still probably the best SH game i played in awhile. If you are a fan of the series, go for it, its worth your money.

Graphics:8

Gameplay:6

Story:9.5

Replay value: Worth playing multiple times

Final Score: 8.5

I've been inactive these last months, so I am sorry I have neglected your blogs, unions and forums. I have been quite apart from the whole internet lately, so as I have nothing to do for a half hour, I may as well tell you what I've been up to.

Exams started a month ago, and so I have been busy on that. These exams will get me into Uni, and with New Zealand's crappy government in power they are trying to stop as many going in as possible and make it more 'elitist' by raising tuition fees and lowering student allowances. So much for freedom of opportunity, eh? But I have worked hard, and I am confident I will get in. I plan to major in history, and do a bit of english and politics on the side. I am looking forward to it, because Uni will be more free than school, and I will have more of an opportunity to be able to learn what I want to learn, rather than what the system wants me to.

Other than exams I have been happily busy in the worldwide Occupy Movement that is in full swing, and I am loving it! The media calls us lazy and selfish, but I don't care what they think. Only a few of us are unemployed, and everyone from machine workers to university lecturers to fast food workers are present in our ranks. We are all organising around our schedules, and certainly don't have all day to lounge around like the media says we do. Nonetheless, we have donated what time we have, and it has paid off. My local socialist organisation has grown over 50% since the protest began, we sell out of our magazines within hours, and politics in the town centre has actually been awoken! I can definately say it has been worth our time, and we will most definately stay until we get pushed out, because if we don't protest about greed and injustice, who will?

When I have had the time I have been reading widely, trying to find both a faith I am comfortable with, and also exploring the realm of political theory. In the religion department, I finally decided (after a large argument in my head) that Abrahamic religions are not for me personally, as both the Koran and the Old and New testaments contradict themselves so much. But bigger than that, I also disregarded most mainstream religions like Hinduism, Islam, Christianity and the like because they just are not right for me. I believe in religious toleration, and while those faiths are great for others, they are just not for me. Personally I believe in a more pagan form of worship, with nature worship, equality of human beings and free thinking nature rather than a faith with a dogma that gives them an excuse to hate their fellow man. So in discovering this, I have made myself quite happy indeed, and I have stopped being so damned miserable!

After reading widely on political theory, socialism is still where I stand. Equality of man, elimination of poverty, universal peace, the best life for everybody and the general bettering of the world is where it's at. I have had enough with all the suits in parliament bickering while tens of thousands starve to death a day. It just isn't right, and I will go to my grave not only saying it is wrong, but fighting to stop it.

But on a less serious note, I have read some excellent books lately, most notably being in the midst of Doctor Zhivago. It is a good novel so far, but the narrative is a little irritating. However, if you get a change you should read it. Also, I have been reading some of Jack London's works, and he is now one of my favourite authors. Oh - and I also read some drivel by George Bush which I regret, because I could have used those three and a half hours of my life doing something worthwhile for humanity! But even after wasting my time with him, I am still the happiest I have ever been.

This is all I can think of right now, and so I now want to know how you guys are going. Are you doing well? I hope you are all happy and enjoying yourselves, and doing things that you want to do. I will be more active on here now, and so I will probably be seeing a lot more of you all. So if you need any unions for me to help with, I am here and ready to help.

Have a good night (or day), and I hope to hear some nice updates fromy uo when I wake up

It's a game like gothic 3 and Venetica. I really like it when the hero changes into a dragon. It really fell amazing to control the dragon.

But when I finished the game Igot disappointed. The ending really sucks. I can't believe the hero've tricked the whole time. After all the effort he got trapped in a crystal and Evil won!?...

You don't even fight Demian, now I understand what they mean by: "when you see a man called Demian, run!"

I said what with that warning!, in the end when you defeat him he'd be the one running, but looks like you can't defeat him, disappointing, really!

those who have played the game, what do you think, doesn't the ending suck?
