There was also a few new Greenlights recently. GOG's summer sale just started today. Most games on the site are 50% off, and they will have new bundles every day until July 5th. Today's bundles are the Alan Wake games for $4 and all the D&D classics for $21. You can also grab a free copy of Torchlight...for the three people who don't already own Torchlight.

I'll probably do a new Greenlight Spotlight this weekend. I'm looking for my next review now. Quite a bit of recent stuff that was never covered by Gameverse, like Prime World: Defenders, The Swapper, and Expeditions: Conquistador. Magrunner: Dark Pulse is due in two days. I may also start dipping into the Early Access section to do previews. I'm curious to see how Xenonauts is looking these days.

Microsoft are following up the Xbox 360 with the Xbox One, while Sony are being all logical (who would have thought!) and making the sequel to Playstation 3, the Playstation 4. There has been some controversy, some great announcements and some interesting ideas laid out, and now that E3 is over for another year, I wanted to take a look at what has happened over the last generation, and why I am excited for the new one.

Microsoft

The day before the Xbox 360 launched, I was made redundant from my job at the time. The HR manager said to me What are you going to do now? I replied, Buy an Xbox 360 tomorrow and play games until I find another job, and that is exactly what I did.

I worked at GAME when the original Xbox appeared onto the scene, and when I bought one, it was fantastic. I loved that thing, so I more than happily plonked down for a 360 way back in 2005, and for several years it was my console of choice, my games nearly always going on the Xbox first. Plus, it had Halo, a big plus for me.

Microsoft seemed to be doing everything right, Xbox Live was now an integral part of the system, the games were great, Indie developers were able to hit up XBLA and provide some great, cheap titles and it really seemed like MS were the console maker for the developer community. Thats despite some unfortunate technical hitches with the actual hardware. I am currently on my fourth Xbox 360.

They kept the interface fresh, improving it every year and making it better and better, providing some technically stunning games and even creating XNA to help bedroom coders create a console game easily. It was a fantastic time, but at some point, something changed, and it started to feel as though the company that I spent so many years loving had forsaken me in the name of advertising dollars.

Shortly after that, Kinect appeared. I remember watching the Microsoft E3 press conference where they announced the device, sitting on google talk with one of the guys that worked at the gaming site I was writing for at the time, just amazed. The thing looked so damn cool, and I couldnt wait to get my hands on it, and I did, on launch day no less. This was a mistake.

The first Kinect was a gimmick, nothing more. It allowed them to extend the life of the 360 for a couple of years, but the thing barely works, a number of factors preventing it properly detecting your body and your movements. These were things that should have been known to Microsoft, things that limited the usefulness of the peripheral. I managed to get mine to work in a small room, but I had to stand right in the corner as far away as possible, at night, with the room light on.

The voice commands do work, and at this point are the easiest way to navigate the 360 interface, especially if you want to find XBLA games, or indeed, anything gaming related. This is where they have forsaken me. The Xbox Live dashboard is more an advertising space than anything else, and as a result I havent switched on my 360 in nearly four months. I dont begrudge Microsoft making money, but there must be a better way.

So what about the next generation? Well I have to admit, the Xbox One looks very cool, even if it is a small form factor PC. Hopefully the kinect will work this time, and the dashboard isnt as cluttered with ads. Maybe even games will be easy to find, especially if they are trying to push an all digital future.

Speaking of, Microsoft had a strong showing at E3 with its titles, such as Titanfall, which looks awesome, Project Spark, Forza 5, Ryse, Dead Rising 3 and Sunset Overdrive all looking very cool indeed. They pushed the TV stuff a little too much, but for the way I will be using my Xbox One it could prove useful. I do like the grab to minimize, it looked slick and gave hope that Kinect will work consistently, also providing a case for the whole three operating systems thing.

There is, of course, the elephant in the room, the whole DRM stuff. It is my opinion that it has been blown massively out of proportion. At the end of the day, it has always been the case that what you buy is the license to use the software, not the software itself. This has NOT changed, Microsoft are simply being more overt about it. I do, however, get why people are annoyed at the whole check in online thing, it should be longer than 24 hours. I do think that it wouldnt be that hard for them to change that limit though, but I have to also give them respect for having the stones to stand up and say most people are connected to the internet in their homes, so our console requires it.

Its a bold move, and remember, everything they are doing on Xbox One has been happening on PC for years with Steam and at this point no one bats an eyelid. I remember the same controversy happening when that system first launched with Half Life 2, hell, even my own uncle, a programmer himself, found it annoying and didnt like it at all. Now he buys most of his games through Steam.

If Microsoft can follow Valves footsteps and offer games at reasonable prices, with great sales and a non-intrusive system then maybe the Xbox One is the future. I am not going to predict that, but I hope they do. Right now, having a title available for download at the same price, or in some cases, more expensive than what I can get in a retail store is just goddamn ridiculous.

The last thing I want to say is that I hope people start using the abbreviation XBO instead of this stupid XBone thing that has sprung up. It makes soooooooo much more sense, at least to me, and slips off the tongue just as well as PS4, which can only be a good thing for Microsoft, who are getting a lot of flak at the moment and need to build consumer confidence and faith.

Well, this post was going to be about all three companies, but Microsoft has certainly been able to generate headlines going into the next generation, so I have had to split it into three, parts two and three coming later this week I hope. If you want to chat about my thoughts on this or anything else, hit me up on the site, or twitter: @optimusprime223.

Microsofts great proverbial belly-flops never stopped growing more simultaneously painful and amusing to watch.  The laughable moments accumulated since their revealing of X Box One and just ended today with another statement makes it hard to believe that they actually want their system to succeed.  They tried to act like a bull dog, but came off as brutish and uncaring to their fans, catapulting Sony and Nintendo into trumping position over the Big-N.

Theres no doubt that the graphical capabilities of Microsofts and Sonys new machines are impressive.  Microsoft showed arguably more graphical gravitas than Sony had and seemed to have an upper hand over their relatively long-time gaming rival.  That was until Sony talked about their price-point and first-party used game support wooing us Play Station fans and winning more gamers over.

It hasnt been long since Ive decided to go back to my Sony roots, it just feels like home.  I never felt totally comfortable on the 360, with the controller or with the interface (especially the ads).  The 360 offers some great franchises that Ive had a lot of fun with, but playing the Play Station 3 just adds that comforting sense of familiarity that came with years of owning and playing a PS2.

Thats not only just to say I had some biases going in, but I also harbor a hope that Microsoft does stay healthy.  However, as a coworker said, They didnt just shoot themselves in the foot, they blew their whole [damn] leg off.  Its sad that they seem to succeed by graphical integrity and console features alone.  With higher pricing, 24 hour required internet check in and a broadband-soaking internet service, theres very little reason to go with the big Ms machine over Sonys machine.

Sony and Nintendo had fun mocking Microsofts conference and their responses.  Microsoft just continued to be the pit-bull, showing little tact when discussing fan-related issues.  It was obvious that somewhere they ran off the track.

The X Box One has some impressive games, many of them being exclusives.  In a former life, I would have gladly supported their system over the others, but now that Im older and a bit wiser, I know better.

This years E3 was the best in years, because they focused so much more on games and tech rather than booth babes and swag, at least from what stay-at-homers saw.  The next gen games seem to go back to the roots of why we love to play video games and how our experiences will improve.  Its both a good and intimidating time to be a gamer.  Lets see what happens in the years ahead.

Why should I care?" http://www.gamespot.com/users/kbaily/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-26030151 So now that the E3 dust has settled, it's pretty obvious that the Microsoft is being like Sony in 2006. Having an expensive console that's more interested in being a multimedia device and despite backlash from devoted fans, is making cocky and arrogant statments convinced that the mainstream audience is totally onboard.

Now we just need someone to make an Xbox One song like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfmBzllkbUM

As expected PS4 preorders our outpacing Xbox One preorders already and most shockily I've seen are former Xbox fanboys saying "hey I dealth with the constant hardware failures and paying for online play but I'm not putting up with this." And more shocking is despite showing a decent amount of exclusive titles many fans saying "the games look awesome but it's not worth it to put up with all this crap they're doing." There's something seriously wrong if you have the good games and people still don't want it. Those really wanting those exclusives, I wouldn't worry. They'll find their way to the PC eventually.

But there is now the Xbox minority who still want an Xbox One mostly saying "well I don't buy used games. My internet is always connected and almost never goes down. It doesn't affect me. Why should I care?" The problem is you SHOULD care.

Yahtzee, in one of his "Extra Punctuation" articles made the point that game companies will continue to pull crap like this, if we should we're willing to put up with it. It amazes me when the same gamers say "I'd never touch a Nintendo console because of that weird controller" and yet are prefectly fine being penalized for buying a used game, having something watching you, and the fact we still don't know what happens if you don't log online once ever 24hrs. Or the fact that when the XBO's life cycle ends, it will be a brick so all those awesome games can't be revisted.

But it's the "it doesn't affect me" apathy that some are taking, that's the problem. My fellow user Justplanlucas did a blog about how as of right now, the Xbox One won't work in many countries around the world because many countries like the various countries in Africa don't have broadband internet as the standard. Particularly one commenter had the gall to say "you know what else they don't have in Africa? Shoes. I don't think they're worried about game consoles." Ok, Mr. Stereotype, I know the world outside your little gamersphere doesn't matter to you but believe it or not, the US is not the only country where people have nice houses and couches and can afford game consoles. Of course it's widely know that outside the US market the Xbox has struggled and it looks likes the Xbox One is going to continue that tradition. Not to mention troops who took Xboxes overseas to places where they didn't have easy interenet access. Way to support the troops there, Microsoft. Oh and the "they can use the Xbox 360" was a cop out.

The thing is even if you can afford to buy all new games all the time, you never loan games out and have a perfect internet connection all the time, you should care. It's the principle of the whole thing. If we buy Xbox One's we're essentially saying "hey Microsoft we're fine with you treating your consumers like crap. We're ok with having to follow your restrictive rules for gaming." And this will resonate with publishers and developers. Let's face it, why do you think EA wants to buddy up to M$ so bad? The Xbox One is the EA dream machine. Totally explains why they suddenly got rid of their online passes. But if we don't buy an Xbox One as well as don't buy EA games with crazy restrictiveness, then companies will be forced to change their policies. This is not a boycott. We all know boycotts don't work. This is speaking with our wallets. It sucks that we might miss out on an exclusive experience, but there comes a point where you have to make sacrifices to do the right thing or it will just get worse.

I can make a good parallel to this "it doesn't affect me" mindset. For years in the US we talk about how social security and healthcare are a mess and how congress never seems to make any real progress towards fixing either problem. You know why? Because members of congress have a great retirement and health programs for themselves. The problems of healthcare and Social Security doesn't affect them. Why should they care? And many will say the minute they're cushy benefits were taken away, they'd fix this stuff in a heartbeat. But why shoudl they care? It doesn't affect them.

No doubt, this year it has been Microsoft who did the best publicity job: Sony just needed to wait for their E3 press conference in order to have the very American Jack Tretton announce what every gaming soul had been longing to hear: do whatever you like with your used games --lend, trade, keep them--, and while no permanent online connection or 24h-authentication will be required, PSN+ subscriptions will flawlessly be carried over to yet a new member of the big PlayStation family.

Thank you, Microsoft, for making future buyers' decisions so much easier in gaming matters, in about the same way as Windows 8 has been sharply raising the demand for Linux-based operative systems, so that one should guess that their selling the Xbox division might just be a matter of time. For now, however, still loyal Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be getting two (non recent) games for free download per month --a sign that MS did but learn something from Sony's so successful subscriber policy.

Not too surprising, either, in that context is that for me E3 2013's biggest game revelation is also a game for PS4 rather than X1: The Order: 1886, plotted in an phenomenologically alternative Victorian London, struck me about as sort of love at first sight that I can hardly wait for it being finally released.
Another game I'll be hoping to get my hands on right at PS4 launch is Killzone: Shadow Fall which now more open-leveled looks so much more appealing than the Halo-successor Destiny resembling rather a blend of ME + SWTOR in its present shape (not that I had something against those two BioWare games, though).
Nicely preparatory to the former while waiting may be Killzone: Mercenary for the PS Vita, with a somewhat different concept, also certainly one of the most anticipated games for this quality handheld in all 2013.

Yet InFamous: Second Son is the third PS4 one which I'd put in my list here, together with quite a list of interesting Indie games released via PSN, like Transistor, Secret Ponchos, or Doki-Doki Universe.

The press conference which had my greatest interest besides Sony's has certainly been that of EA starting with the surprising Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare looking so ridiculously fun in co-op survivor mode, followed by other yet eagerly awaited games like Battlefield 4's still more enthralling multiplayer, DICE's StarWars Battlefront and Mirror's Edge 2, BioWare's mmorpged Dragon Age III, or also Titanfall, unfortunately prioritizing XOne, whereas I would certainly have preferred learning something about Homefront 2 rather than Ryse from Crytek's part.

Last but not least to be distinguished out of E3's demonstrations:

- Call of Duty: Ghosts (featuring the CoD Dog)

- The Crew (sporting several of my favorite racing features)

- Castlevania: Lord of Shadows 2 (sequel of the 25 year-old hack'n'slash)

- Wolfenstein: The New Order (sequel of the legendary FP shooter)

- Shin Megami Tensei IV (the 4th of the demon-ish RPG series, still TBA for Europe)

So while I guess that Microsoft and not EA will probably be nominated the worst US company this year, I already project buying another, smaller, smarter X360 to be conserved for the future: May the PS4 be with you...

The place I moved into is one that finally allowed me to play Rock Band drums again without bothering anyone, as it's a house with a basement. I still owned my Rock Band 3 drum kit (minus the Pro-Cymbals) and so I decided it would be a good idea to pick up a used copy of the game from one of my local stores, as I had traded in my original copy two years prior after moving into a top-floor apartment.

I started with my local Best Buy, and oddly enough didn't find any copies. I then went to Fred Meyer and GameStop each with the same result: no copies, not even any copies of Rock Band or Rock Band 2. By this point I was starting to think I was going a little crazy. Why is Rock Band 3 impossible to find? Am I missing something?

My answer came after returning home and looking online. I found USED copies of Rock Band 3 selling for a minimum of $60 and there were very few copies to be found anywhere, even on Amazon and eBay. Not only that but the Rock Band 3 drum kits were selling for at least $300, sometimes over $400! I did a little research and discovered that the series was being discontinued for the foreseeable future. Starting at the beginning of April there would no longer be weekly downloadable tracks added to the Rock Band store.

I was beyond disappointed. Why would Harmonix abandon the series like this? The game has a huge amount of replay value, it's a great party game and it seemed reasonably popular as far as I could tell. I sadly began to try and convince myself that I would probably never again own the game, but as luck would have it I decided to call up GameStop and have them check their various locations throughout my area. Lo and behold there was ONE copy for PS3 available at the reasonable price of $30 at a store about 30 miles from me. I made the trip in about 10 minutes (no joke) and today I'm a proud (and very lucky) owner of Rock Band 3 for the PS3. I play about once a day for an hour or two and it never gets old.

Which brings me to the point of my article: what is the real value of a good game? How much would you pay for an older game that you've gotten rid of at some point in your life and now want back? Compared to some of the stories I've read out there my Rock Band 3 tale of woe is the equivalent of child's play. I just looked online and now a copy of Rock Band 3 for PS3 is selling on Amazon for $110. $110!!! Are you kidding me? I love playing Rock Band but if I hadn't have been able to find that $30 copy of Rock Band 3 there's no way I'd be playing it now. $60 was the minimum price I found online and there's no way I would pay that much for a used game... but there's obviously people who will.

Let's look at some valuable semi-recent video games and see what their prices are today:

Cover Art

1. Suikoden II (PS1)- $80-$300

Cover Art

2. Final Fantasy VII (Black Label) [PS1] - $50-$350

Cover Art

3. Tomba! (PS1)- $65-$225

Box Art

4. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (Premium Package) [PS2]- $90-$350

Cover Art

5. .hack: Quarantine (PS2)- $50-$145

Cover Art

6. Demon's Souls (Deluxe Edition) [PS3]- $70-$2000

Cover Art

7. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (GameCube)- $80-$150

Cover Art

8. Metroid Prime / Wind Waker Combo Pack (GameCube)- $150-$200

Cover Art

9. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (Xbox)- $75-$155

Cover Art

10. Project Justice (Dreamcast) - $60-$400

*Credit for pricing goes to www.racketboy.com/guide/the-rarest-and-most-valuable-video-games*

Now this is just the tip of the iceberg. I obviously didn't go any further back than the PS1 but just look at some of these prices! I understand that some of these games are available for digital download now, but if you don't have the ability to download games or you still prefer discs/cartridges then you're looking at a lot of money for older games you may want to play again!

Would you pay a hign price for any of the games listed above? Are any of these games even worth it? Where do you draw the line?

Pretty much it boils down to Microsoft making mistakes and Sony listens to what consumers and the gaming community need. If I buy something I should own it and be able to sell, keep it, trade with a family member, and not have it check in with the internet everyday.

I was really going to give both sides a chance this time around and see who could offer what I wanted. Microsoft has some good looking games coming, but its not worth giving up my rights as a consumer. Sony really stepped up for everyone worried about losing most of the great aspects of owning a console. Microsoft killed off the original Xbox way too soon. I forgave it. Microsoft put a ton of faulty 360s onto the market with a small ass warranty, resulting in me having to go through 4 consoles in 3 years. I stepped away and moved on. New console cycle is about to launch and even after all that I still was willing to hear them out. Then they tell me I get less freedom at a greater cost, which I just need to "deal with it". No thanks. See you in 7 years, maybe but I doubt it.

Creating a video game Is the most enjoyable Art that make my soul fly, this Is my dream job I enjoy It, I have started Computer Graphic to create Art and share It with other people who enjoy art so that we all enjoy! lol

I am reaching to a good point that I am getting ready to make a real Game that I have In my mind, and this summer we will have something to show, the game Is not ready we are at the first Stage,

Let me talk about how I gathered our team and started making this game,

Well my friends I have met some really good people on Game Spot, and I knew making a video game should be a team work, so I find those friends on Game Spot who are In Art and hardcore gamers, I asked them, their facebook account, then I created a Group on face book, the name at first was Orc Production, but others didn't like It we changed It to Mad Eye Studio,

Orc Production

So for MAd Eye I started making a banner this Is the final Result

Mad Eye Studio

Mad Eye Studio

I learned lots of stuff now these Drawing are the first stages!

Those Days I had finished Red Dead Redemption and I thought let us make a Wilde West RPG game, then I started writing Its story thinking about the levels days and nights, I discussed It with the members we shaped the story.

You Can Read It Here It's just something for our group just a summary and It's still cloudy!

***SPOILER***

We came up with some names Like There Will be Blood, Bloodshed, The Fall....We still don't know what suits the game

Examples

This Is David Work and he shared It In the Group

And These are some speed paintings Less than 2 hours each that I have done for the game, for making the environments and atmosphere

There Will be Blod

Some Info about the Picture: "So this Is our first Drawing about the game story and atmosphere, this Is years after they slaughtered our character family and he came back for revenge, this hill was one favorite place of his farm where he and his family usually went on picnic and his daughter loved to swing, There will be blood."

The Farm

Info about this one: "Did another Speed Painting about 1 hour I have to tell you Speed Painting Is Fun!

This Farm Is my character Farm for the game things are not going well...the farm can't grow stuff our character Is going to sell It in exchange of one old Mine...
"

Our Group right now Is not that Active and our members are not qualified enough to start making the Game, so I told them Until I make the concept arts and sketching Increase your skills, Honestly I can make the game alone It just takes more time, I like to make this one withing a team, but If the Team Is not Qualified enough I don't want to lower the game quality for that!

We have all the tools that pro developers are using so our game should be one great game, I my self am studying Unreal Engine 3 free version UDK and I have more than 5 books, more than 100gig video tutorials about that and things are going pretty good but little slow In Time this game will be finish.

Here Is a Practice (making a simple level with UDK with pre made game assets) I have done for learning Unreal Engine 3 nothing so special but let me share It!

The Armory

All I want from you guys Is that fallow Us, support Us, be our fan whenever we reached to a good point to show the game share It with your friends, Download our game, We will be so grateful by that, We will make a website for the game or a blog, with details I will post updated here just remember to support Us cause we really need your help and this game will be free, and no charge for used games loool!

At the End of this summer at least I will be able to finish the whole Concept Arts and character and Environment Creation, the rigging and Animation, Programming stuff I guess will take more time maybe at the end of next spring It will be finish, Recently I'm playing Skyrim a lot lol I have changed my mind to make this game a RPG I want to give the player at least 30 hours game play so I think time Is not that Important, a good quality here Is Important.

One last thing guys before final game, I will release both and Alpha (tests for technical stuff, changing the character,... can be done here) and a Beta (testing for Bugs) and I will ask you guys to try It, give me your feedbacks to make this game better!

Alright I think you guys will be tired to read more let me post another blog for E3 talk and stuff maybe tomorrow !

Thanks for reading.

~Makan

Yet, here we are, seven years later, and tonight they saved our hobby.

Time heals all wounds and all that, but seriously, each and every one of you reading this knows the place Microsoft wants to take this hobby is bad, potentially calamitous. Whatever your silly allegiances may be, be thankful someone stepped up and did the right thing tonight. I know I am.

And these are the reasons, which are many.

- iFamous: Second Son

- Final Fantasy XIV (rebuff) exclusive

- Awesome looking Indie titles

- Destiny demo looks amazing

- Watchdogs demo looks amazing

- Exclusive content for third party games not available on other consoles

- Less than $5 a month (hopefully translates to 5) for playstation plus

- Annouced Final Fantasy XV

- Annouced Kingdom Hearts III

and now for the deal breakers

- Used games supported; we own the game not the license and are free to do what we wish with it.

[ Watch Video ]

- 399 price

(The crowd literally were cheering with no end at these two announcments)

I'm going to book my PS4 once the shops open. Sony are looking out for the gamers and are happy to point out that the PS4 is for gamers andis not an "entertainment" box.

Possibly the most important E3 of the last few years. Now that the PS4 and the XONE have been announced, we are awaiting more news on the details of these consoles and the bevvy of initial games we can expect on the systems. Naturally, a lot of these are expected to straddle the current generation and next-generation consoles, but word has it that there are an awful lot of new titles waiting to be unleashed. It's guaranteed to be an exciting week for video games. All of the DRM discussion regarding the XONE has been very unfortunate, especially considering the rise of always-on DRM on PC games. However, PC gamers like me have been living in a non-used game world for almost the last decade, so the entire problem blowing up now as a result of these new consoles is rather crazy. Still, it was bound to blow up eventually. Anyway, be sure to check out everything GameSpot is planning over the show including the usual stage show, interviews and the like, alongside our sister site Giant Bomb who will no-doubt be doing blow-out podcasts every evening and other nonsense. Also shout out to m'colleagues c_rake and edubuccaneer who are live in Los Angeles covering E3 for Entertainium.org (to which I've contributed a review or two including Fez and Poker Night 2), so be sure to check out all their content to.

Shipwreck Beach

In other news a lot of things have been happening which I haven't been telling you about because I've been neglecting this blog again. First off I've started infrequently streaming games on Twitch.tv. Already I've streamed some Curse of Monkey Island, FTL, Start Trek Online (in 3 broken parts) and Half-Life 2. Hope to continue to stream whenever I find the time convenient and I have a game that doesn't crash everything. For example I was experimenting with trying to stream XCOM and immediately my computer when to BSoD so I'm not trying that again in a hurry. Tune in some time soon (will announce on Twitter) when I hope to play through all of Portal (original) whilst discussing E3 developments we may learn this evening. Also feel free to suggest any PC games you'd like to see highlighted. Apologies for the background hissing on all the videos but this is just my bad quality mic and until I invest in a better one it isnt going away. In other news I've naturally been playing an innumerable host of video games, the major one being Tomb Raider (2013). I was pleasantly surprised by how downright great Tomb Raider was. Truth be told it isn't a Tomb Raider game anymore really, since the gameplay more closely approximates Uncharted rather than what you got in the old-style Tomb Raiders. Nonetheless, the rebooted Tomb Raider is an all-round great game to play, being a proficient third-person shooter with an interesting plot and great gameplay. Its internal progression of gradually giving Lara more and more equipment reminded me heavily of Arkham Asylum, as is its linear, hub-and-spoke approach to level design. Lara is a great character and although she very suddenly transitions from na ve archaeologist to bloodthirsty sole survivor, I had no problem with accepting it given all the downright horrible things that happen to her throughout the game.

I have more to say, but I haven't time since Microsoft Conference is about to begin! Hold onto your hats.

I watched the E3 TV Preview and noticed a couple of games I haven't been following! Is there any other games you're looking forward to this year? I'm keeping an eye on the gems and plan to follow the game page to get updates about them.

Things have been doing pretty good with the new gig. It sometimes doesn't feel like work because it is that much fun. Our game will be at the NVIDIA booth so if you're attending be sure to drop by to check out the tech destruction demo, currently not in the open beta. Oh, I guess the secret is out if you follow my Twitter (HWKJody. The game is HAWKEN.

Lastly, I can't believe my last blog reached over 200 comments. Thanks again for everyone's kind words. I only saw one rage quit from  the site, and even he wished me well. Also, if you don't already have me on Steam (xpcaligirl) or Raptr (CaliGirl), feel free to add me!

And.. have a Happy E3 week full of exciting news and hype! I'll have to make sure I take a peek in System Wars this week to see what you all think about the hardware and games. <3

I've heard more than a few "What time does X Conference start for me?"
Well, I've taken a list of various time zone areas that I've hear people request for over the past few days and put them together in this nifty list.

To help you on your quick search,
- Hit "Ctrl and "F"" this will bring up a prompt for you to enter text into a field.
- Search for your region.

If it's not included in the list and you think that it should be, feel free to comment below. Otherwise, you can check to see what time it starts for you by going to each of the conference pages and looking at the count-down timer.
