How long should a game be when buying it. There are some games that are only 5 hours long. Some are over 100 hours long if you explore the game. This is an issue i feel should be viewed and discussed more

[ Watch Video ]

When paying full price for a game i feel that there should be more content than just 5 hours, even though they are really good. If the singleplayer is that short, they should maybe have a mutliplayer/co op part in the game. It is something i think should be shed light on. When someone required the player to pay the full price on a game and only have a short singleplayer experience i pushing it in my opinion.

[ Watch Video ]

Now some might say you can wait and buy the game when it is cheaper, it is beside the point. Because the publisher and developer release the game for a full price and considering it finish. If developers don't have time or means, they should lower the price on the game and make it more accesible for people rather than just making it full price at launch.

I don't know if anyone has any opinion on this like me, i would like to know though

Typing this on my phone is a nuisance.

Since that is the promotional game on the Wii U VC for $0.30 for the month of May.

So I downloaded Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.

It is because I have Super Metroid on the VC and I also have a Wii U.

Some video games are great. Some of them have satisfying endgames. But some games, those really throw their all into the fight once the final hour has arrived. In this countdown I'll take a look back at my favorite endgame bosses (1 of which is not technically a final boss but is the conclusion to said game), and in the comments below, feel free to share what your favorites are!

10. The World Ends With You

After you defeat the Game Master of the third and final Reaper's Game, you come face to face with the Conductor of the game, Megumi Kitanji. He's passionate about what he's trying to do (spoilers aside) and he's going to do his best to stop you from beating him which would result in his objective not being met. He confronts you himself, and after beating him once, he transforms into his Noise form, a giant serpent called Anguis Cantus.

After defeating HIM, he transforms AGAIN after transforming with someone else (spoilers withheld), to a more dangerous serpent Noise called Draco Cantus. The entire last day builds up to this climactic fight, and it has a few small twists to the battle formula and is one of the only fights in the entire game you'll mostly be tackling with just Neku by himself. Needless to say, it is one epic fight and I can't say much more without giving away very important story elements.

9. Pokemon Black/White

Normally, Pokemon games end at the Pokemon League of a given region, and your journey ends when you defeat the Champion. BUT NOT THIS TIME. After defeating the Elite Four, a castle comes out of the ****ing ground and surrounds the Pokemon League. It's N's castle. you have to confront him one last time, in what is an epic fight between truth and ideals. After that, his own father and a member of the Seven Sages of Team Plasma, Ghetsis, flips out at N's defeat and fights you himself after revealing the full intention he had for Team Plasma, and you take him down and bring an end to Team Plasma for the time being.

This endgame blew my mind despite being 19 years old at the time I played it and having been into Pokemon for over 11 years. I thought Pokemon was falling into a routine, and while I really liked Cynthia in Diamond/Pearl, I was waiting for when there'd be a twist to the plot somehow. And in Black/White, N's success with the Pokemon League up until you beat him was a welcome change and not actually fighting any sort of Champion for a final boss with Ghetsis was really cool too. N having a legendary Pokemon helped crank the intensity up to eleven.

8. Kingdom Hearts II

HOW OVER-THE-TOP CAN YOU MAKE ONE STRING OF FINAL BOSSES? First you go through a strange city, then you fight Xemnas in a weird knight form. Then you have to fight him on a giant Nobody dragon. Then you fight him in the knight form AGAIN but you're falling from the sky but you look like you're flying and you have to make your way to him. THEN you fight him finally in his usual form but in a different white/black cloak in a strange void of nothingness. AND I MIGHT BE MESSING UP MY ORDER BECAUSE THE ENDGAME JUST CONSISTS OF SO ****ING MUCH.

The first Kingdom Hearts almost made it to this list too because of how over the top it was, but few endgames can boast being that exaggerated as Kingdom Hearts II. And you get the epic partnership of Sora and Riku, who was reformed from falling into darkness in the first game and now a sweet dark hero type character. It just screamed awesome for me. Cheesy admittedly, but still a great way to wrap up the game.

7. No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle

I love NMH2. I really do. It took the solid foundation of the first, and made it better. It did away with the unnecessary hubworld fluff (as novel as it was), and polished up the rest of the game. And the entire game revolves around Travis' thirst for vengeance against Jasper Batt Jr. and how he killed a good friend of his. Travis relunctantly assassinates his way through the top ranked assassin's a SECOND time, and learns that Jasper Batt Jr. himself is the top ranked assassin. He confronts him. After learning what his identity was (which surprised him), you begin the epic final boss fight with him.

And that boss fight ends up with three phases. You first fight him inside a small car and have defend yourself and make openings to hit him. After that, he makes himself buffer though some power and larger, and you fight what essentially is an evil superhero (looks like a superhero, but really isn't). After warding off attacks and knocking him down again, he increases in size AGAIN, in a parody to how final bosses progress in other games, and he's literally this giant balloon version of himself, and you fight him on the top of his destroyed office building. It's a challenging fight, but it's soooo satisfying when you finally bring him down.

6. Dark Cloud 2

Few games are beloved to me as Dark Cloud 2, and the game did a great job of wrapping up its story. You fight Emperor Griffin in his palace, only to learn that a dark creature had parasitically taken over his body and controlled him to do everything that he did. You then go through a weird dream realm and fight a bunch of bosses, and you confront the Dark Element, the real "Emperor Griffin", while it threatens to DROP THE FREAKING MOON ON THE PLANET. No, I'm serious, Majora's Mask is not the only game to have the threat of the moon being used as a weapon. Dark Cloud 2's world also had 2 moons, 1 of which was to be used to destroy the planet by the Dark Element.

You have a pretty good view of the second, fake moon and you have a tense countdown of 5 minutes to kill the Dark Element. The battle takes place on a small space of floor inside the strange colorful place near the top of the long spiral that you climbed up on the way. It's pretty atmospheric and the fight itself, which has the Dark Element switching its cloak coloring to grant immunity to long-ranged or close-ranged weapons (since the two main characters get 1 each) was a nice twist and added strategy.

5. Sonic & Knuckles

I have a hard time loving bosses in platformers because they tend to lack the intensity of a well-established RPG fight. But Sonic & Knuckles, which wraps up the Death Egg saga of the Sonic game timeline, ends beautifully. First you have an ordinary boss fight in the Death Egg Zone, which following that you chase Eggman before he jumps into his Death Egg Robot, and you have to hit the fingers of the hands he's using to try to crush you.

When that fails, he destroys pieces of the Death Egg as he follows you and attacks you with fire from his robotic nose (I'm serious), and a charged laser beam from the Master Emerald he's using for energy for the robot. In order to damage him you have to hit the Master Emerald's holding machine carefully and bounce off it before you fall from the platforms the robot's knocking down in its wake. And if that's not enough, destroying the robot doesn't end the game. Eggman tries to get away with the Master Emerald riding his little ship, and you get to chase him down and hit him while the rest of the Death Egg falls apart behind you.

Leaving out the Doomsday Zone which is a whole 'nother layer added on entirely, this is one of the most epic endgames I've ever gotten to experience in a platformer, and while I tend not to give Sonic & Knuckles enough credit, it did wrap up the Death Egg saga in a very cool manner.

4. Touhou Shinreibyou ~ Ten Desires

Not all of you know Touhou so here's a video link to the boss fight, because this might be hard to imagine what I'm explaining otherwise: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIZG7Rb8yMk. Good? Okay. So the plot here is Reimu found a weird disturbance and had to find out why spirits were flying around everywhere. She finds Toyosatomimi no Miko and a small group of people who practiced Taoism and tried to become immortal (and had people stop believing in them, sending them to Reimu's world, Gensokyo), and then Reimu (or whatever girl you pick) confronts Miko. After this, an Extra scenario can be unlocked, where Reimu goes to the Moriya Shrine and is intercepted by the playful tanuki girl Mamizou. And this fight happens.

IT ****ING HAPPENS. I love the playful music, and the entire theming of Mamizou's attacks is just bizarre in the coolest way possible. Her normal, non-spellcard attacks, she doesn't fool around with and literally just hurls large orbs every ****ing direction, but her spellcard attacks feature her bullets TURNING INTO LIVING THINGS, including gingerbread man looking humanshapes, frogs, birds, and dog-things. Land, sea, air, human. And to turn it up to 11, one of her spellcards has her transform into REIMU HERSELF and shooting trademark amulets at you, as well as leaving behind frogs which explode into amulets (as opposed to the feather-like bullets they normally explode into).

I've only ever beaten her one time, but fighting her is so satisfying. And I have a thing for tanukis ever since Super Mario Bros. 3 and Mario and Luigi being able to turn into them through that power-up. And Mamizou delivered.

3. Chrono Trigger

After going through time many many times you finally get to fight Lavos in the Black Omen, and you learn that there's more to Lavos than that exterior meteor monster you've seen all game. Not only do you fight a boss rush of a lot of the game's bosses with Lavos as the proxy, you get to fight Lavos itself normally, then you fight a strange Cell-like creature inside of Lavos. You go INSIDE OF LAVOS when you finish this beast off because its head retreated into its body. And then, after THAT, you fight its core: a weird alien being and 2 small bits accompanying it...

Until you learn the twist that ONE OF THE BITS IS THE CORE AND THE ALIEN ISN'T THE REAL TARGET. Many gamers who are genre-savvy get thrown for a loop when they learn Lavos' last form isn't the unique alien creature, but actually one of those bits. And until you start throwing attacks around, you have no way of knowing, adding to the tense challenge of finally ridding the planet of the horrible beast. To accompany it, the background spans through space-time and you get to see the various settings you've been to, which influence some of the core's attacks. Really cool indeed.

2. Final Fantasy VII

You dive deep inside the earth through the North Crater to fight Sephiroth for real. You defeat JENOVA for the 4th and final time, and then you face Sephiroth, who was turned into some strange monster. You get to tackle the fight with multiple parties if you want to. Then when you think Sephiroth's defeated, he becomes an angellic god-like... thing, with epic latin choir accompanying this. It's one of the coolest final bosses I've ever gotten to play, and while a lot of people like to mock it nowadays, I like to give credit where its due; if not for this game, I wouldn't have played any other Final Fantasy titles, and Sephiroth is an awesome villain. I found the final boss fight with him highly dynamic and entertaining. It helps that his forms gain stats depending on whether you used the gamebreaking summon on JENOVA before him or if you have any Lv.99 characters.

1. Pokemon Gold/Silver

Yes, wrapping up our countdown is another Pokemon game. And no I'm not talking about Lance here. I'm talking about the game's TRUE final boss. You've collected Kanto's badges after defeating the entire Johto region, and been given permission to venture to Mt. Silver. You traverse the eerie, dark cave. You reach the last room of the final dungeon of this 60+ hour Pokemon game, and you see nothing but a single path forward and black void surrounding you (assuming the original here, for atmosphere). You reach the other side to see a trainer standing there, and approach them. All they say before you're rushed into a fight is "..."

This is how the epic final battle of Gold/Silver pulls you in. You fight not just any trainer, but the hero of the entire Kanto region from 3 years ago. You're fighting a former champion that stepped down in order to continue growing stronger. You're fighting a trainer that was the FIRST to mess with and successfully defeat Team Rocket. And you get that epic Champion Battle music that Lance got along with Red holding nothing but Pokemon obtained through events in Yellow (Espeon implied to be the Eevee from Celadon). You get to know why there's only 1 Snorlax in Kanto. He has the second one.

Red is in himself an epic character in Gold/Silver for being a hero 3 years before you began your journey in Johto. And you get to fight him. Not many games can make a new installment and have the game wrap up by BEATING THE FIRST GAME'S PROTAGONIST. But to this day Gold/Silver are my favorite games in the series, and not only was the pacing of the game great, but having Red as its final fight just makes it that much more awesome.

I'm 22 now but I can remember this website being an awesome part of my teenage life. I of course had my friends in school and outside of school, etc. but when I was home, I can remember being on this website to read about video games, post about them and talk to people about them. I can remember quite a few people that I became friends with on this website. I can remember being a huge part of a couple of unions, especially the TRU union for probably a few years. I might not play video games quite as much as I used to but they've always been a fun part of my life and they still occasionally are. I was unfortunately banned for a couple of stupid arguments. oddly enough though, I was able to log back onto my account today. I attempted to make a new profile but it just didn't feel the same, I'm glad I gave it a shot when I logged onto this account.

but on a side note.. I'm still with Brina, a girl that I posted about when I used to be on this site. we've been together for a little over 2 years now, I actually asked her to marry me 4 months ago. now we're getting married on May 24, 2014. I ended up moving in with her and her grandparents like July 2011. I've been working at Staples as an Easy Tech Associate since October 2011. it's just retail so of course it's not exactly a career choice. my fiance went to beauty school for cosmetology and she's now working at a salon. but the way it looks, her grandparents house will be passed down to us. they own a pizza place and some apartments in the city near us. so if we up not finding the jobs that we want to be permanent, we at least have those to fall back on. other than that, there's not much else going on. how is everyone else doing? it'd be great to hear from some of the old people that I used to talk to on here.

I've been really busy playing Skyrim, Crysis 2, League of Legends, Minecraft, and as of a few weeks ago - Magic: The Gathering (not online). A few days ago I got Level 36: Radical Ninja, which is a pretty big milestone for me.

#10: Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS)

I was over-joyed when this game was announced. I've been waiting so long for another Animal Crossing, and I'm probably going to end up buying a 3DS for this game and the next game in the list.

#9: Mario & Luigi: Dream Team (3DS)

Last week I searched up Mario & Luigi RPG to see if a new one was on its way, and I was very sad to find out there wasn't going to be a follow-up to one of my favourite series. A few days later, Dream Team got announced.

#8: The Elder Scrolls Online (PC)

Really excited to see how this one turns out. I've applied for a Beta key, so hopefully I'll be able to try it out before it releases. I'm a little worried that this might ruin the series or put a dent in it, like The Old Republic and Final Fantasy XIV.

#7: The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct (PC)

As most of you probably know, I'm a very big fan of The Walking Dead. I've been collecting the comics for a few years now, and have been watching the TV show religiously. I really liked Telltale's TWD series, and I'm really hoping they work hard on this one, too.

#6: Grand Theft Auto V (PC)

Though I haven't been the biggest fan of the past few Grand Theft Auto games, I did enjoy the sandbox-aspect of it, and once I got into the story of GTA IV I've been looking forward to the sequel ever since. The trailers make this game look like it's going to be really fun, I just hope the game-world is big enough for my destructive habits.

#5: Crysis 3 (PC)

This one is already out as well, but I haven't seen a lot of gameplay for it because I've been trying to make my way through the first two Crysis games before I pick up this one, but from the trailers I've seen it looks like it's going to be amazing.

#4: DayZ (PC)

The stand-alone DayZ comes out this year, so having spent hundreds of hours on the original mod, I'll definitely be picking this up the week of its release.

#3: StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm (PC)

I don't know if this counts as a full game or an expansion pack (it's 40$ when it comes out), but I'm putting it on here anyways. I can't wait for this to renew my love of StarCraft. Zerg is my main race, so I'm sure I'll have a lot more fun with this than I did with Wings of Liberty (which will be hard!).

#2: The Last of Us (PS3)

Imagine zombies and Uncharted put together. That's what I envision The Last of Us to (hopefully) turn out to be, but I don't doubt Naughty Dog's ability to come up with new, innovative ideas. I'm really excited for this one, and it's probably going to be the first PS3 game I've bought in over a year (unless The Last Guardian comes out this year).

#1: BioShock Infinite (PC)

I always say how I'm okay with developers pushing games back to refine and polish them, but BioShock Infinite has been pushed back far too many times... We want it now!

I was in 8th grade and Halo 2 just came out, inherantly one of the best days of being a gamer. I jammed down chinese food and wiped my hands clear before touching it. That alluring package.

The Halo 2 Collector's edition streigned my allowence-based income, but the price was reasonable. A cool $5 bucks above the price of a regular, boring Xbox game. It had a clear sleeve over a hard iron casing. Sealed within were two weighty tomes, a book of alien garble, and the instruction manuel.

But, lo. Behind the razor-like disk was a second disk-based artifact containing scenes behind the game's production. Incredible! Acess to these treasures -- for five dollars? People expect an 80 or 150 dollar box of this and that nowadays.

Since then, the tin has scratched and caved in. Many years ago I snapped the commentary DVD back into the case after its last viewing, and I never sat down to read the alien book.

I'm not really compaining. That was a hell of a good deal. But a few years and one sweating economy later, Collector's Editions are a lot more expensive. A lot bigger.

Sounds okay as long as you keep away. But buying Halo 2 in 2004 was too effective an experience, some sort of consumer dopamine overload. Every green Xbox game I opened after that contained the same crap. Disk, manel, and the experience on the disk. What the hell was the point of that? Where was my shimmery-eyed, pumkin carriage unboxing rush?

Goddamn I've bought a lot of these things, man. Right next to Rock Band is Master Chief's head, which is next to a statue of Reach's faithfuls. All snuggled up in my attic.

In my closet is Pandora's Box, then the Peace Walker Box, then the StarCraft II Box, and beside that is the BioShock 2 -- err, tomb? It's the size of damn housing blueprints, the unrolled kind. The art book in there has roughly 30 of its 134 pages dedicated to doodles drawn by artists who were zoned out at meetings, and I counted 3 typos.

No offence to figher fans, but I find no love in mashing buttons or memorizing alphabedical/joystiq code. But, here I am. Being an a$$hole, buying BlazBlue day-one because it's Collector's is flat cost.

It's getting rediclous really. The last time I slipped was Diablo III, and I actually have a little touble regretting that one. The box is mad decent. Still, I have to talk myself down from the Infinite Premium Bird whatever they decided to call it, and StarCraft II's [potential] sitting buddy with the release of Swarm.

How much have I spent now? 500 bones? Likely not, maybe the number I'm looking for exceeds $1,000. That much could have net me a new mini-library of games. This is hardly an attack to lover's of a good CE, but really. Hit Ctrl + F and see how many times I use the word "thing."

And that's all it really is. Just stuff. More plastic, more baggage. You look at that and start thinking about the psychology of a Collector's Edition.

Well, it's a couple of things. For starters, you have the opening of the box that causes all the good feelings mentioned above. If you are really hyped about a game, this is about where the feeling peaks. Unless the game is truely fantastic, here's the top.

Second, this stuff is a symbol of status on this very GameSpot, and other gaming forums. Think about it. In a discussion thread of a game, people are quick to tote their most recent account deduction. "Got my [most expensive version] all paid off!" Or, "I bought three!" One to open, one to [keep and look at] sell and another for the bath or shower.

Thridly, if the game is really awesome. And I mean actually awesome, it feels good to look at that box and just know: there it is. That awesome experiece. And I have the best part of that experiece. Hey - sometimes this is appropriate we live in a [capitalist] democracy, so plant a corprate seed. Throw a little money, have a good time.

And finally, you might actually be buying a valuble rarity with high sell-back potential. This is not usually the case. These are made en masse and should really be called a Hoarder's Edition. If people really wanted specialty gaming paraphanalia, they'd import from Japan.

What does it all mean? Well, part of our happiness is hogtied to these goody baskets, no surprises here. And even less surprising that one is never enough.

Wasting money is a bad plan, and its about the games, right? No more of this incessent buying based experiences outside the game.

I know, though, the urge will well up again. That primal need of deloucing tape from chasse, art book from plastic. In July of 2010 I started DD and that really helps.

Truthfully I don't know why I wrote this. You're gonna' keep buying it if you want it, and previous naysayers will continue to nay.

But before you click that Add to Cart button, slide that card or pass that cash, just stop and think. Know that you're a victim of a consumer culture and your own greedy synapses. Then, buy that sh*t.

Due to a supposed mistranslated statement of the Dark Souls designer, a lot of people were talking about a more easy and accessible Dark Souls experience "so everyone could play the game".

Well, I got news, everyone can play the game now, exactly as it is.

Dark Souls is not difficult because it requires inhuman skill (like some platformers). In fact, in that regard it is much easier than any super Mario game.

Dark Souls is difficult for many people because it requires a skill set that is lost to gamers nowadays (and most people in general):

. patience;
. lateral thinking;
. observation;
. experimentation;

It is a unique experience because while playing you do not evolve your character as much as you evolve yourself as a player. It is unbelievably rewarding to decipher the innumerous secrets of the game. That's the game, the discovery. The game is not about running around killing monsters.

It is insanely awesome to see that something that looked like impossible a few hours ago you can now do with your eyes closed (well, maybe one eye closed).

Putting a minimap, an extensive tutorial and save points on the game would not make the game easier - it would be creating another game - one that is simply not nearly as interesting or innovative.

Dark Souls is a unique, intelligent new experience, we really should not be trying to make it equal to other thousands of games.

eb5727b0-2f69-4af6-ad73-376f0b26ae64.jpg

I understand the frustration if you want to experience the setting but thinks the experience is too hard. But, honestly, have you even tried? Most people shy away from the game because of its fame alone.

A friend of mine have arthritis and cannot play most fight games and platformers and, after a little bit of effort he finished the game twice already.

I am not a very accomplished player also. I can't memorize patterns very well, I can't do a combo in a fighting game for the life of me and cannot drive in a straight line in racing games. And I completed the new content for the game dying only twice.

The famous super uber difficulty of Dark Souls (and Demons Souls for that matter), can be easily conquered by rethinking yourself as a gamer, being more methodical in your approach.

Some people say that an easy mode doesn't hurt because you doesn't have to play it. But the fact that Dark Souls have only one setting of difficulty works as a watermark, a parameter for your successes and failures.

This is what makes people to come back to the game - discovering the new ways to kill a boss or getting the most difficult equipment should be a reference to all. Why? Simply because there's no game that does it now. Comparing notes, efforts and challenges is part of the game. Some things in the game are meant to be very hard to discover and an easy way around it just kills the sense of accomplishment that is so impressive in this game.

Hell, the game became huge mostly because of its style and difficulty. Why try to make something so innovative into another triple A title with all the trappings that executives think that are required for a game to succeed?

In any case, the discussion is moot because lazy people are already cheating their way into the game, making everything supereasy. Which would be fine, I think, if they weren't bringing their fake accomplishments online, to the multiplayer component of the game.

But this is people for you. There will always be someone ready to spoil everyone's fun on the behalf of their fun. We cannot do much about this, unfortunately.

What we can do is enjoy one of the greatest games of all time in the way that made it one of the greatest games of all time: difficult, but conquerable.

Capcha: comfort zone. So true...

P.S. I love Skyrim for what it is.

I've been a Giant Bomb Subscriber for quite a while now and looks like both of these sites are owned by the same publisher. Because of this they decided to give a promotional GameSpot subscription for some of the Giant Bomb users. Looks like I'm (partially) back here.

I have to admit that the main reason I didn't feel like using this site was those annoying ads. Now that's out of the way I'll be glad to browse both sites. Thanks CBS and whoever thought of this promotion ^^

Hit me up there too. Would love to have more blog and forum posts to read posted by you: http://www.giantbomb.com/profile/nintendude/

Well i know im late to the party but i finally bough the MineCraft.

After playing the hell out of Terraria I had to try MineCraft. Its one of those games where i have not idea why i like it and i feel stupid when i try to explain to people what the game is, but its soooooo addicting, its a bit expensive at about $27USD but if you like little games like Terraria you will love this, its basically a 3D version of that game.

I started playing ME3 like 2 days ago, so far its pretty fun, I dont really have much to say about this game at this time im not very far in. The only ting i can say is its as fun as 2 was but coming from PC to 360 is kind of annoying, the loading screens get very old and you have to swap between disc1 and 2.

If I were to do that, I'd run out of spit. So I think I'm just going to leave myself as inactive and no longer do anything here, no more reviews, no more contributions and the like. Mon, 30 Jan 2012 12:30:40 -0800 Myviewing writes: Cramming http://www.gamespot.com/users/Myviewing/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25970966 What is up guys I have finally gotten another fit of stuff to write about. January has been a thankfully lazy month for me and I wasn't really keeping track of a whole lot of stuff that's been going on so I'm not sure if I can say a whole lot. I did get the first First Viewing up for this year though, a cover on Ramayana: The Epic.

If you want to see what I have to think about the movie, here is my series of reactions: http://www.viddler.com/v/706ef1b6

And if you want to just see the movie for yourself: http://www.hulu.com/watch/311372/ramayana-the-epic

So for a series of random stuff, I remember hearing that Microsoft doesn't really care about exclusives. It stinks to hear that they actually feel this way, but at the same time I could kind of feel it coming. Back when the Xbox 360 was getting a ton of exclusive content it kind of left some people like me thinking that it would continue to be this way throughout the entire gen. We thought Mass Effect wouldn't go to the Playstation 3 and it did. We also thought Rare would be encouraged to make a series of sequels to games like Perfect Dark and Banjo-Kazooie or even make a franchise out of Kameo if anybody remembers that game, but instead it's just Kinect Sport for them from now on. I know most people thought Blue Dragon would get more sequels instead of getting spin-offs on the DS, I was way more hopeful for a Lost Odyssey sequel though and Mistwalker obviously isn't dedicated to doing anything on the HD twins it would seem. And as it shows, none of that has come to pass even though Microsoft does have a few franchises going like Gears, Fable, Halo, and Forza.

I don't know if it exactly helps anybody to know that now they're also apparently fully focused on working for Kinect and I don't know if they have anything else planned outside of just that. So I'm not sure if this means that they are going to try and go the whole Wii route with the next system or if they're going to go so focused on the casual gaming market that it might irritate its previous owners. I'm pretty sure Halo, Gears and Forza will be continued at this point though I have a feeling that Fable might be discontinued for some reason. Well I guess now I'll have to wait until next gen to see if I'm still willing to support Microsoft's console endeavors or if I can just get the same games elsewhere.

On the gaming front, not much has gone up since like in the typical January not much usually gets released with the exception of maybe one or two somewhat big names. I did play my first game for this year though, AMY. Yeah every year I end up looking at a game and end up thinking, "Wow this game got such bad reviews I have got to see how bad it is for myself." I played the demo and it didn't seem bad so I got the full game. I mean I've played Escape from Bug Island and I think it got the same ratings as this and I actually liked the game along with Alone in the Dark and Cursed Mountain so I thought why not take the dive? I have been playing it on hard and I actually was enjoying this game up until Chapter 4. It's at this point where the game starts to get rather impossible and tedious to accomplish. I'm probably still going to try and beat it though. In general this is probably only worth it if you're a dedicated diehard survival horror fan who plays everything in the genre. Otherwise if you just want a good game, just pick up SIREN: Bloodcurse instead on PSN.

Time to cram in a few more things I'm a bit lazy to elaborate on:
That actually reminds me of this much, I have gotten a PSN account working and if anyone wants to add me, feel free to look up the username Myviewing. I want it to be tomorrow already, I want to get Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Soulcalibur V already. Red Tails is a pretty cool movie. I'm really bored and don't know how to continue going on. Writing is fun and tedious at the same time. There you go.

That's the news from Myviewing as of January 30, 2012.
