And I havent been active since then to only post that blog but for the people who are wondering is Kid_Black_Star still alive? Yes I am. A lot of drama and less gaming Im afraid; which was one of the main reasons my progress has come to a temporary halt no females, no gaming, just real life problems that snuck in and cradled me into despair and treachery. So to those wondering Im fine things are getting better. My uncle passed away on Friday May 17, 2013 at 10:30 PM I was the last one to see him before his fight against cancer was a loss cause. He was 49 and the doctors said at his old age and fighting for twenty years it might be the end of what may seem like a second chance. It hurts but it has been the main reason why I havent been blogging or anything. So for your time for reading this I say thank you. But, real life everything is fine. Just been really sad about my Uncle for the past three months.

Firstable Ubisoft & Sony made the best conferences this year. the rest were hella boring.

Best Games

6- Dishonored: The trailer didn't really excite me. but when I watched the demo I was really impressed on how you can play through missions with different ways (stealth, brutal,..) & the abilites, weapons you have in the game + the story could be really interesting.

dishonored-1.jpg

5- Injustice: Gods Among Us: I swear it's like a dream came true when I was like "How awesome would it be if the Mortal Kombat developers would make a DC universe or Marvel fighting game" and damn they were like listeing to me. gameplay looks absloutely fantastic and different and I'm sure they'll do the DC charcters justice in this one.

Injustice-Gods-Among-Us-Image-1-e1338521

4- Assassin's Creed III: As always epic trailer and a demo that makes you just wanna play it right now. the game looks amazing and sure a massive step up from Revelations which I didn't like much. and Conor looks like a real badass character (i'll be missing ezio so much though)

Assassins-Creed-3-Forest-Combat-Screensh

3- Tomb Raider: My favorite game series of all time. the game never lookd better story-wise, graphically, gameplay,... the bad thing is that I have to wait till March..

xl_se-tomb-raider-624-1.jpg

2- The Last of Us: Probs for Naughty Dog for their works man. I watched the demo several times without gettin' bored. and the moment when the guy's run out of ammo and the girl threw threw the brick at the enemy when he attacked. totally my favorite moment in the show.

10-3-610x343.jpg

1- Watch Dogs: Probably the star of the show. the game that came out of nowhere and damn how it looks so fantastic and the idea of it is just awesome. I'm sure Ubisoft will amaze with this one. be aware GTA V.

600px-WatchDogsHack2.jpg

Disappointments:

1- Dead Space 3: I have that fear that this one will be more of an action shooter game than a horror one. even if you have the option to play without co-op the word co-op alone in a horror game doesn't make it horror. we just shall wait and see

2- Resident Evil 6: Coming from a big big fan of the series. something about this game just doesn't deel right, I don't know but It was my most anticipated game of the year, now I'm just afraid the changes they took the game in might dissapoint. and the whole "hey we have all your favorite characters in the same game" might turn ugly. we also shall wait & see.

3- No "Gta V"

4- No "Mirror's Edge 2"

5- No "Tekken X Street Fighter"

6- No "The Last Guardian"

7- No "Beyond good & Evil 2"

Like I said, here is the 2nd part of my Blog series on Battlefield 3. This time no images in the post itself, because then it would become a bit to long with all the 55 weapons included in BF3. So, I made links instead, so click on the weapon and you'll get an image!

So the second most important thing in a Battlefield multiplayer, is the weapons. Battlefield 3 contains 55 weapons, which is more than Dice has ever done before. There are a few important things, or changes, when it comes to the weapons in the game:
Supressive fire. Lay down supressive fire to limit the combat capabilities of enemies, making their vision blurred.
Quick reloads. Speaks for itself.
Multiple fire modes. Most guns have multiple fire modes, single, sustained and burst.
Fully customizable weapons. You can fully customize your weapon with various optics, ergonomics, performance upgrades and underslung weaponry. The underslung weaponry is again fully customizable.
Bipods. Deploy your machine gun bipods on any mountable surface for greater accuracy.

Okay, enough talking again, here are all the 55 weapons included in the game:
Assault Rifles
M16A4
AK74M
M416

KH-2002
AEK971

Perched on my tower of critical analysis, I knew that Bastion was a great game. There's an enticing relationship between your actions and the story that I've rarely seen before, and the delicate artistic style presented a serene landscape that was easy to get lost in. Fast combat kept diverse by new weapons and varied enemies demanded focus. But if you've played any of Bastion, you already know the intricacies that make it tick.

Even though I was fully aware of all the things Bastion was doing really well, I didn't ultimately care. I can point to the extremely linear level design or iffy long-range aiming as slight problems distracting me from the tasty goodness everyone seems to have been devouring, but I know that would be disingenuous. There aren't any tangible problems in Bastion that could leave me with a feeling of indifference; I just didn't have any emotional connection. It happens in every art form. No matter how impressive the craftsmanship is, it won't resonate with everyone. I resolved to keep playing, because it was still fun and I wanted to see what lay ahead, but it felt more like a duty than a passion.

And then I reached The Singer.

When the level began, the narrator started talking about something I couldn't quite understand. "There the kid hears something he ain't heard in a long while. How's it go again?" Up to this point, the narrator talked about your story and actions, things The Kid had experienced or was doing first hand. I could hear, faintly in the background, an acoustic guitar start up. Quietly at first, and then louder, with vocals slowly coming in. A woman's voice, beautiful, sad. The narrator continued, after a short pause, "That's the one.... timeless."

And I was finally invested in the world. The structure of this level is the same as the previous ones – switches, enemies, rising pieces of land forming a path – but it was much easier. Enemies were less prevalent than before. The narrator quieter. It was about the music, and it was mesmerizing. "Some day your bird is gonna fly."

It's not often that I play a game that fully realizes the emotionally potential of a masterful piece of music presented in just the right way. Whereas the visuals and combat moved me on an intellectual level, it wasn't until I was struck by the melancholy beauty of this song that my emotional side was piqued. I stood still for long stretches, just soaking it in, hoping it wouldn't stop. And when I reached the end, a singer was sitting in the grass. I had initially assumed the narrator had broken the fourth wall by recognizing the soundtrack, but that wasn't the case at all. The Singer was as real as The Kid. And I stood next to her, listening to the words and the music repeat over and over.

Zia's Song

After about 4 or 5 years of never playing a sports game i decided to pick up a copy of FIFA 10. Now i wasnt thinking that this game was gonna be any good but when i first played it i was hooked. I dont even know why. So then i bought another sports game. Madden NFL 09 (not realising at the time that Madden NFL 10 was coming out like 3 days later) I had been a fan of NFL for a long time, but i didnt know anything about the video game side of it. And once again i was hooked. I found myself buying more and more sports games like NHL 10 NBA Live 10 NFL 10 and now i have finally realised that i am addicted to them again

...Right that might be a bit boring to read...but its my first blog so Sssh
