Gamespot isn't what it used to be. This site used to be awesome, with a comment system that wasn't annoying, unions where you don't have to post several times to make your message appear, and pages that actually loaded on the first try (not the SEVENTH).

The only reason I've stayed on this site is for my friends in the Catz Clan, and we've finally decided to leave for a Zeta Board, the Catz Clan Sanctuary. It works MUCH better.

So, with there being no further need for this place, I'm leaving.

I never actually thought I would be saying that. I've been here for nearly four years, and in that time I've met some of the most awesome people I've ever had the pleasure of talking to (along with fat guy with a foot fetish).

But, with having all of them in a nice new location that to post in, there really is no further purpose for this website.

Actually, I'm still going to use this site for posting reviews I write and keeping track of my game collection, but as far as communication goes, I can't stand this site anymore.

If anyone wants, you may join our Sanctuary. We don't really talk about Cats, going against the title, so what we DO talk about is...random sh*t, pretty much.

Gamespot, it has been a good run. I shall miss the good ole' days, but I'm glad to finally be rid of you.

First let me say that I Love Gamespot. I have been an active member since 2002 and I dedicate allot of time on here. With that said I have gone through the ups and downs of reviews also the inconsistencies within the scoring system. For example let's take the latest 2 games that are going head to head.

Battlefield 3 vs Modern Warfare 3

Let me say as of right now I have not played MW3 but will be getting it later today. BUT!!! I have had BF3 for 2 weeks now. Personally the Online is great and the single player campaign is horrible. But it scored 8.5 none the less but I am getting ahead of myself. Let's see what Gamespot has to say.

Battlefield 3:

The Good

• Deep and varied multiplayer competition
• Awesome array of vehicles
• Many attractive environments
• Rewards teamwork handsomely.

The Bad

• Campaign is disappointing and dull
• Only six cooperative missions
• No way to practice jet flight outside of multiplayer.

Modern Warfare 3

The Good

• Climactic campaign
• Lots of varied and challenging Spec Ops action
• Exciting and entertaining competitive multiplayer
• Spec Ops profile spreads the satisfaction of leveling up.

The Bad

• Multiplayer sticks closely to familiar formula.

So you see with Battlefield three it has its perks but it has some negatives like a horrible single player. Which I fully agree. So Gamespot decided to score the game just on Multiplayer so it seems which is confusing. They gave it an 8.5 which translates to "Great".

MW3 (which I haven't played yet) has no gripes, complaints or any issues from Gamespot except for being a familiar online which is still incredible (According to Gamespot). They say the Single player is fantastic and the multiplayer is fantastic and they scored the game as an 8.5.

How can this be? These games are basically going head to head and Gamespot does not have the nerve to score it properly which is confusing and questions their integrity as game reviewers. Why does it matter what GS thinks? Because they are one of the top sites for gaming if not THE top site. So in essence it matters what they put up.

This frustrates me. The first questions I came up with was "Is Gerstmann back". Then I could only conclude that there are a couple reviewers that are trying to play it safe and that's why the scores are even… Rise up Gamespot. Break free from being persuaded from the money that gaming companies are putting into your site and honestly review the games.

I cannot really understand why the game needs 10gb but somehow it installed in under 5 minutes. As evidenced by this pic, time flows oddly in the magical world of Azeroth

On another news I'm using my free time for pointless websites. I'm giving the final touches to a tribute to the infamous Clock channel from the simpsons www.theclockpage.com and I'm starting a social network to write poetry. Which is less say, unproductive, illogical, inmonetarizable.

I want to play some games, but nothing is catching my attention for the PS3. There are a lot of good games in the horizon however. Dark Souls and the ICO collection and I'll probably will get Uncharted 3 and The Elder Scrolls which looks really really cool. Oh and I suppose I'll have to wait for FF Versus too, though it seems Square decided to work in a sequel to their horrendous main IP and put it on hold. I'm holding my breath to see if Square Enix announces a KH or something but they've gone from being my favorite dev to the least.

I should let you guys know I'm alive and somewhat well before I fall asleep -- it's 3 a.m. and I've got some really smooth jazz playing in the background. I'm gonna keep this post short and simple.

Been kinda busy, what with my folks getting a puppy and all. Well, they got it a while ago, and it obviously needs a lot of attention. Also, a bunch of guitar practice and studying for exams.

Lots and lots of Magic: The Gathering.

Some manga; Vagabond volumes 1-12 in three damn days, Azumanga Daioh in its entirety, Yotsuba&! 9, Sgt. Frog vol. 21 (the last one according to many sources, but there are clear signs of the series continuing) and Detroit Metal City 9. Awesome stuff.

Video games every now and then! Got Shadows of the Damned, which is a SWEET game. The boss battles can get extremely frustrating, but the game is a must-have for any Suda fan. I've also been playing Portal 2, which rawks, and am thinking of finally starting L.A. Noire. Leaving all of my other unfinished games out of the equation until those three are finished. Well, all of 'em except for inFamous (the first one) and Star Ocean, which I really should finish since I'm so close to the end in both.

I took a break from fighting games, but I really need to get back to them before I get too rusty. Mainly BlazBlue, Tekken and Street Fighter. Kinda gave up on MvC3, now I play it just for fun.

Got this on Christmas day (hope you all had a wonderful holiday by the way). No need to go into details on what's on it and such. I'll just say it's a Toshiba Laptop, and I f****n love it. XD With this I'll be able to check out GS more, because I no longer have to rely on my PC. (I hate it so much). >_>

Anyways, as for gaming, I hardly bought actual games, because I've been spending my money on PSN cards. The Playstation store is freaking crack to me. I did get around to buying real games whenever I got the chance, and even a few friends sent me some for gifts. There were some games I got, but I got rid of them after beating them *coughFFXIIIcough*, because I knew I wouldn't play them again after I finished them, or i'll end up replaying them way later in the futre.... like a year later later. XD

I'll be honest, the only reason I did buy Atelier Rorona was because of the damn box. That thing is huge! o_o the games I enjoyed playing the most from the pic are Parasite Eve (Love that series now) and Sakura Wars. games like Dead space,Eternal Sonata & xenogears are not in the picture because I let a friend borrow them, but I do have them nonetheless!

All in all, I've enjoyed most of the games I've played this year. With Mass Effect 2 (PS3),Dragon Age II, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 & Dead Space 2 coming next year I know I'm in for some awesome stuff coming my way.

That's pretty much it, a blog after all this time, and I had a good amount to share. Now I wonder who's actually going to read this. XD

I been busy this summer and I've been taking an extra course this term and I'm just really stressed out. And if the extra course wasn't bad enough! Its online! And I keep forgetting about it! Talk about fail on me. Anyway I been busy with college work and I got involved in this whole roleplay thing, which has improved my writing by a lot and I'm starting to rewrite some of my StarFox Recruit chapters and they are coming out pretty good. I started working on some story plots and testing them out there and they all seem to pass with flying colors....well all except for my StarFox Recruits...but thats okay! I'm just happy I gotten better at writing! Well I'm really going to try to get on more often and check out everything. I can't promise I'll post anything or be able to visit all the Unions but I'm going to try. I'm sorry if your mad at me or hate me.
