RCT 3 is a great game but unfortunately some problems make you stop playing after a while.

User Rating: 7.5 | RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 PC
I have always been a fan of the Rollercoaster Tycoon series starting with the original. RCT 3 has what the others had and more and would be a truly a great sequel if not for the bugs in the 3D engine.

THE BAD:

What I really hate is when the engine stops you from being able to connect a queue/path to another queue/path due to them "not being an equal height" when obviously they are as close as they can get if not completely equal. Then I get pissed and you would/will too, trust me.

The fireworks, while cool, take too much time and effort to setup and are a pain to sync to music which apparently, is what you are supposed to be able to do with ease.

The peeps are mindless idiots who just go on random rides leaving great coasters or awesome rides untouched. Their designs are really weird. They look like robots more than well, people. While I realize they don't have to be people because this is a game but it's more of a sim game though so I would expect people at my amusement park to not be robot looking, retarded, freaks.

The peep designer, while a great idea, is severely limited in what you can customize as at most there is about 3 shirts to choose from any age group. It definitely leaves more to be desired.

The campaign (if that's what you want to call it) is lame and makes you just say forget it and go straight to sandbox.

The terrain editor is terrible.

THE GOOD:

Amazingly good 3D graphics for everything from coasters, to scenery, to water (I love reflectiony water. Yes I know that's not a word.).

COASTER-CAM

Sandbox mode is finally here and it's awesome. You can build everything with no money needed. The only thing stopping you is the map edge.

When you place objects/paint terrain near the side of the park the outside takes on the characteristics of the closest edge to it. This makes it blend in some more and I personally like it.

Fireworks. While difficult to use they are still a welcome addition.

TONS OF STUFF to use to decorate your park. This includes moving scenery, scenery that reacts to a coaster going over a selected piece of track, fountains, oodles of trees and shrubs, billboards that you can put custom pics on, and a lot more.

IN CONCLUSION:

RCT 3 is a great game but unfortunately some problems make you stop playing after a while. I got frustrated over the paths not connecting properly and just stopped playing it for a while. Why should I have to sit there for 3 hours trying in vain to even out the terrain??? I just hope the next RCT game (if there will be one) has a better graphics engine so it'll be more user-friendly and enjoyable.
