RCT3 couldn't quite live up to my expectation

User Rating: 6.5 | RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 PC
Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 is a good game, but there have been better games in the past.

1. Gameplay - As with the previous installments of the game, you'll have to build up a theme park and mint money out of it. You can add ready-made roller coasters or you can make your own custom roller coasters. You can also add various theme park additions other than roller coasters like Carousel or stuffs like that. You can also add food stalls and drinks etc. An important addition to the game is that you can get a virtual ride on your roller coaster. This way you can assess how exciting it truly is. However there are a few bugs in the game that mar the gameplay experience. Firstly the visitors are never ever happy, whatever you do. They are full to the brim with food and excitement and yet they are unhappy - and why - because they had strolled off into some part of the map where I hadn't built a road. Also they ride the rides for a few times and then suddenly, they don't find anything exciting anymore. Even if you cut down on prices (I went to the extent if giving off tickets for free), they don't come back to the rides. More so they aren't interested in new rides too. Then they get angry, as there is no rides that they can ride, and go home. These glaring bugs actually hinder your gameplay.

2. Music - Gone is the carnival music of RCT. The new age park has introduced new age music, which totally SUCKS!!! I really wished Atari had the brains to at least keep the good old music

3. Graphics - Here RCT3 scores. The new graphics engine has out a more realistic feel to the game. This is only place where improvement has payed off for Atari. If not for the graphics, this game would have got a solid 2.5/10 from me.

A buggy game isn't where I would advise you to put your money into
