Anyway, onto the game. The controls for Rocky Balboa may take a little while to get used to, but once you get them down you can make your boxer do exactly as you wish. The ability to control your character like you can with ducks, dodges, and counters really adds a great flow and feel to the game. While it is true there really is not much context included in the game concerning the fights, chances are if you're playing this game you're a fan of the movies and understand what's going on. It really is fun recreating the epic fights that you've seen before and even changing the outcomes. The graphics aren't the best or the worst we've seen on the PSP. It is a plus however that the fighters look very similar to their movie counterparts. Game shows bruises and swelling on fighters faces after a good beating. The sound is good for a fighting game. The sound effects for punching and hitting are good, the sound is really the best way to tell if you hit the person or not. What would a Rocky game be without some of the memorable tracks from the movie, and don't fret, they are here. You really can spend a lot of time playing this game. The main mode is long and contains a good number of fights. Not to mention the fact you can play in exhibition mode with a large number of fighters. This brings up another great part of this game, you can play as fighters that had either very brief appearances in the movies or no appearances at all, which is cool. If you are a fan of the movies then I promise you that you will enjoy this game, you just have to give it time to get a grasp on the controls. Even if you are not a fan of this movies and are just looking for a good boxing game or fighter for the psp I recommend this game to you. Overall Rocky Balboa is a solid fighting game for the psp that you should definitely check out.
