For everyone feeling a bit confused on the double technique (it can be kind of hard to explain in text to people that aren't familiar with drumming), here's a video demonstration.

Good job finally squelching the demons of flame. Maybe now they'll understand.

Okay, the information about stretching currently is bunk. All of your muscles are connected in a way that makes it important to stretch every one. Drumming is like running, a workout, I agree with like everyone.
If you want to increase the strength and flexibility in your muscle, it's recommended that you hold for at least twenty or thirty seconds.
People are starting to become sidetracked from the point of the TC, and that's why they're flaming him. Instead of suggesting ideas, people are refuting attempts toward progress here. Sorry to be so obvious.

I got a mean charlie horse in my calf while I was sleeping. Definitely because of the bass pedal. It took a lot of trial and error for me to learn how to use the pedal best. I wish I would've read this guide, but I was too busy playing!

I'm not a really hardcore drummer, I've had an ok set for about two years.
I suck, but that's beside the point. From what I've heard, seen, and taught (barely) you WANT to use your leg and just have your foot resting down on the pedal. . .

I was about to come in here and question your drumming skills if you actually thought double bass pedals were a crutch. Then you said metal is an acception. Still though, double bass pedals are amazing and can be used in all styles of music. There are many things you can't do with single bass pedal that you can do with two.
Just my two cents.

Is this guide for real? If someone's leg gets tired after hitting a plastic bass pedal, you wouldn't last one second on a real drumset. You actually made a list of stretches to do? How out of shape are you people? Absolutely bizarre.

I'm just posting this link for anyone who has a broken bass pedal, but don't want to wait for EA to replace it.... or for those worried about breaking their pedal and wants to stomp hard (or just not worry about it):
http://cgi.ebay.com/Rock-Band-Bass-Drum-Pedal-Repair-Kit-PEDAL-METAL_ W0QQitemZ280192265981QQihZ018QQcategoryZ122517QQssPageName ZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
It's a simple, metal foot piece to put over the footpiece on the RB pedal to prevent any snapping.
It's only $15 each +$6 shipping (and +$1 shipping for any additional metal pieces you want)
It's definitely better than waiting for EA, in my opinion... plus it strengthens your pedal so you won't break another one.

Oh, and bytheway, neither I nor anyone I know is the person selling those metal pedals. I was simply passing along something I found that was seriously helpful.

I would like to request tips on playing triplets with the kick pedal. If you don't know what I mean go play don't fear the reaper on expert, and that main part has it. I really lose my energy in my leg while attempting to play this.

>Anything can be played on a single bass pedal if you devote your time and energy towards it, and "needing" a double bass pedal, >except in a few situations (Metal specifically), seems like the cheap path out of learning to bass quickly and efficiently.
That is like the most blatantly false thing I've ever heard. That's like saying that all guitar solos can be played without using finger tapping if you just practiced enough. Stupid. You obviously don't play the drums THAT much, or you would not have typed that.
