Get a gameplay level look at the new Rock Band in this E3 2010 trailer for Rock Band 3!
Is it going to be like RB2 where you can use all the old RB1 songs? You would have a pretty extensive library if that were the case. Good stuff.
I hope they make the soundtrack better than 2, but besides that I really like the addition of Keyboard
The game looks awesome, especially the pro mode, the keyboard, and the new style guitar controller, but the visuals aren't that appealling. They should have made the characters more realistic. But that's not going to deter me from getting the game.
the cure track really should have been in between days , the piano looks like it could be a challinge
I was only thinking about getting this, then Dead End Friends happened. Sorry GH, I'm defecting for some TCV.
@gslimjim08 They do have the real guitar now. That will be used for PRO mode. The drums will remain 4 lanes, whereas cymbal hits will have their own gem in order to differentiate between pad and cymbal strikes.
I stopped playing these games long ago, because there's nothing like playing the REAL drums, but now I think this just might be worth getting.
Ever since Rock Band came out GH has been playing catch up. Now RB is blasting past GH again. Proves that putting time into the development of a new game instead of releasing a new game every six months is always going to be worth it. Looks like the new pro mode is gonna be a great way to learn some songs on guitar. Whether or not you like music games doesn't matter much here, this could be one of the best ways to learn a song without a flesh and blood teacher ever.
@Nintendo_Ownes7 Hey I don't work for Harmonix I'm just passing along some info that people wanted to know, don't shoot the messenger.
I'm sooooo excited about this game! The setlist looks great, too! I can't wait to play "Just Like Heaven!" I hope there will be some AFI, also.
@fester420 Why can't they have a patch that they download which will add keyboards to the Back Catalog of Songs they said they will include something were you can keep track of all the songs you have they can add a patch theoretically
@ProdjectAUSM Check the E3 coverage on RB3, yes they are indeed adding a keyboard part, which can be played in normal Rock Band/Guitar Hero style (five 'lanes') or can be used with two full octaves (I would assume ten 'lanes').
@fester420 why bother? in all fairness, the dlc they've been putting out lately hasn't really been that great and they have RBN now. so why not add the new features to all our favourite DLC and eventually all of it?
@XeonForce Harmonix has said that they would like to go back to the previous DLC and add the new features but they don't feel it would be fair to charge people for a song they already have. I would actually rather they concentrate on keeping the DLC coming out every week.
i hope they have real feeling guitars and a fifth drum line thingie cause guitar hero won't get rid of the fifth one and i think it would be more fun.
Can't freaking wait! I hope HMX will take the time to go back and make dlc reverse compatible with all the new features =D
