I read that this game was also on the GBA, but I never heard of it or played it before ont he GBA. However, I bought the PSP version and was shock how good this game is. Riviera is an instant classic. The story is very cool and easy to follow. Eventhough it's very linear with the story, it's interesting enough that will pull you in and makes you want to find out what's next.

The graphics in Riviera is 2D, which is really good. Character looks like Anime characters. If you are into Anime like me, you'll like this game. The only downfall of this game is that they should've implemented FMV's instead of still pictures. I'm sure UMD's can hold that much of data.

Anyways, Each character is unique and fun to use. You level up by using weapons and items you collect from the quests. You have to use the weapon in practice mode to upgrade the characters skills, which will give you more Hit Points and etc. The sound in this game is awesome. This is the first PSP game I have that is in Japanese Dialog with English Subtitle option. WE NEED TO SEE MORE OF THIS OPTION. I'm a huge subtitle fan and love the cute Japanese voices. The music is very cool too.

Bottom line is Riviera is not to be missed on the PSP. Get this game now if you are into JRPG.
