This game is like World of warcraft, you heard that before? Well thats not true, because wow as it is right now, is not even close to Rift, WOW decided to make all the tanks the same, all the healers the same and all the buffs re worded and unstackable so it can be easier to find people to group with. (example mages have bloodlust wich was reserved only for shaman for 5 years)

What blizzard didn't understand that now there was no eww your a prot pally type vibe, now any tank in WOW can AOE tank. remember how 1 year ago when you played wow your talent points mattered? well not anymore.

Thats why i been wandering MMOs for the past 4 months looking for a complex MMO i can tinker with. i thought they didn't exist. well then rift came out and it took the wonder years of wow and made it better.

The Class system is amazing in Rift, remember alts, well Rift kinda eliminates that, because 1 rogue can have around 7 souls, and to give you an example a soul is a class and combining 3 pretty makes your talent tree.

Examples you can mix a stealthier with a bard and a guy who drops bombs and traps , so it's like i can mix and match till i find something i like. i chose a bard, his music is ranged and if i pick a soul of an Assassin i can eventually get stealth wich would be fun for PVP. Whichever soul you like the most you start putting more talent points in and start becoming that class. but if you spread out your talents you will have a custom class, that may be fun for you in pvp or questing but without the good stuff might suck at PVE raids.

This game is really challenging and not meant for people who think WOW is hard, it's for people who think wow is hard because they scaled back there classes. those smart players will eventually enter Rift.
