Perfect game for anyone looking to try an MMORPG or switch to a new one

have played too many MMO's over the past 10 years, and let me tell you this. Warhammer, Vanguard, Age of Conan, and Aion were all massive disappointments to me, so I wasn't getting my hopes up with Rift. I had played WoW for a good 6 years and recently quit playing due to just being bored of the same old game being recycled every 2 years.

I was hesitant to buy Rift, but for some strange reason on a slow, boring night, I ended up purchasing it. And WOW, the concept is great. There are 4 major classes, each with 8 major arch types to choose from which all play differently from each other. Basically you can mix these arch types together to make it feel like you are unique, and to help suit your play style a bit better. The end result is a class that has a huge amount of possibilities. If you get bored of a certain play style, you can switch it up.

I am usually not one for graphics, but this game's environment and textures make the game look beautiful. If you have a system that can max it out, you can see very far distances and the mountains look very realistic.

Last but not least, the rifts. As you are questing and lvling up, random invasions are happening and rifts are opening up at random spots in the zone. If you head over to one and participate in the event to close it (solo, or with other people near by) you will get rewards towards buying some new gear from that zone and also get bonus xp for closing the rift or stopping an invasion force.

This game is worth the buy for those who love MMO's. Though I cannot comment on the end game raiding yet, everything else has been great.
