Superb racing from the driftastic Ridge Racer.

When you pop in the UMD and start it up you will see the pre-rendered intro movie and from there on in you can see how good the graphics are compared to the intro movie. It's truly amazing that the cars have reflections there are animated objects around the track yet framerate stays high.

Anyway gameplay there are the usual single race and time trial and now World Tour mode where you progress through the Ridge Racer ranks unlocking new cars, tracks and other items. Controls are smooth and you HAVE to use the analog nub in order to drift properly. Also with the new nitrous system it means there is a tactical element of when to use it and when to add to it, by drifting.

It's a great game and has gone platinum so you can pick it up much cheaper now. Even more reason to buy it, play it and enjoy it.
