Ridge Racers uniqueness came from its handling. It was strictly arcade drifting but with much finesse needed to master it. Challenge of controlling the car was always so great that there was no place for destruction or damage even.. And now they put damage into the spotlight? If there was no trail behind lights I would think that this is burnout or blur or something like that... and thats kind of dissapointing as previously you could recognize ridge racer from afar just for vehicle and track designs.

I'm very very concerned for this title. I love this franchise to death, and a few things aren't sitting right. The franchise has never been about destruction, so what I saw in the trailer seemed more like Burnout to me. If they keep the game FEELING like a Ridge Racer, then cool... but when you take cars and start slamming them around left and right... it's just changes the entire style. Also, I have little faith in the developer. Bugbear doesn't exactly strike me as a premier studio. I want this game to do well, but at the same time there's too much potential for disappointment, so I'm going to keep my expectations low.

All of the crash animations look similar. This is going to get old fast :(

SPLIT-SCREEN is an effing MUST! If not, then it's another failed racing game. I still have real friends to play Video games with.

@ 2:41 - is she topless?... This game looks cool, I might check it out. All I want is the Classic Burnout (1-4[revenge]) Games on my PS3 with SPLIT-SCREEN! If this is as close as I'm going to get to that, I'll have to grab it, not gonna lie.
